Laurance's POV

"Well that was a useful meeting," (Y/N) says.

"Yeah right. All we did was tell stories about the Nether and Scaleswind," I scoff. I see the hurt flash across (Y/N)'s face and I try to tone down the sarcasm.

"What do you think about Zane? Do you think he's back?" (Y/N) asks, changing the subject. I grimace.

"Knowing our luck, he is back, but I hope not," Garroth answers. I nod.

"If he is back, who knows what he'll do. He might try to retake O'kasis, or try to destroy Phoenix Drop. We can't have either of those things happen," I declare.

"But how will we defeat him? If he is back, where is he?" (Y/N) frets.

"Calm down, we'll figure that out if and when it's a problem. Right now though, we don't even know if he's back. So until we know more, we should just let the issue drop," Garroth says.

   "Oh, it's getting late. I should probably go. I think Ikachu wanted to talk about something. See you guys tomorrow," (Y/N) says, looking out the window.

   "Bye," Garroth and I say at the same time. Garroth and I are left alone in the room.

   "I think (Y/N)'s right. It is getting late, and I have a guard shift tomorrow. Do you need anything before I go?" I ask. Garroth shakes his head. "Alright. See you tomorrow." I leave the room, heading down the stairs and towards the front door. I start walking along the path to my house. Halfway there, I hear someone squealing "Shut up!" from a bush. As I walk by, (Y/N) stumbles out of the bush and crashes against me.

   "Careful," I say, catching the wolf hybrid. She blushes and tries to stand up.

   "Sorry," (Y/N) apologizes.

   "Hey (Y/N), sorry for pushing y- oh hi Laurance!" Pikachu chirps, popping her head out of the bush. (Y/N) quickly steps away from me.

   "Hello Pikachu. Should I be worried about you two?" I ask. (Y/N) looks at Pikachu, who is grinning widely.

   "Nah, were fine. Don't worry, it's not like we're spying on cute boys or anything," Pikachu says.

   "You're right. We're not. You are," (Y/N) corrects. "You just dragged me into this."

   "I'm hurt. Why weren't you spying on me? I'm a good looking guy," I say. (Y/N) crosses her arms, cocking her hip out slightly.

   "Because (Y-" (Y/N) shoots Pikachu a withering glare.

   "Because just saying you're good looking decreases your attractiveness," (Y/N) says.

   "That's not the only reason, and you know it," Pikachu says. (Y/N) and Pikachu have a silent argument between themselves.

   "Fine. I won't say anything. But you have to act soon (Y/N)~" Pikachu says.

   "I will. Promise."

   "I'll hold you to it."

   "Can one of you please explain what just happened?" I ask. The two girls look at each other.

   "Nope!"
