Background:

The twins mother journeyed to visit her mother Lady Galadriel in Lorien when she was captured and tortured by orcs. Him and his twin brother both rode out to rescue her but in the interim she was wounded by poison. She was healed but traumitized greatly that she left to sail to the west...since then Elladan has hated orcs greatly. It was well known he helped Arathorn of Dunedain in hunting them down and he bore witness to the kings death from a band of orcs.

He had become friends to a wizard- Gandaulf- who had once traveled with him and in the process they met and befriended a dwarven woman (Ahmi). They were out hunting orcs one day near Dullond when they came across a young dwarf who was about to be killed by the orc pack they were hunting. He saved her and they became friends..eventually he took her on as a student , teaching her elvish healing. He found himself 35 years later traveling with Dahl and his brother to Erebor to rescue his student and her sisters.

After the battle of the five armies had passed and was won he returned back to Rivendell to his fathers side where him and his siblings stayed till the war of the ring.
