"His niece. Yes, Alex meet my uncle Vlad."

Alex's POV
   I stood frozen in shock. Emily is Vlad Dracula's niece! She's royalty and I attacked her just two days ago...crap I'm a dead man. That's it I have to say goodbye to my family and loved ones. Maybe if I beg for mercy they'll spare me, or at least kill me quickly. 

"Goodbye uncle Vlad I'll see you and Lucy this weekend at the family reunion." Emily said waving goodbye in the doorway.  After one final goodbye she closed the door and went to pick up her book once more. I dropped to my knees at her feet "Please please please forgive me. I don't want to die just yet. There's still so much I want to do. Please I beg you spare me."
    She looked down at me with one eyebrow raised. "Uh....Alex? You do realize how ridiculous you look right?"

  I got up off the floor and cleared my throat. Scratching the back of my neck I did everything I could to avoid eye contact. Well that was embarrassing. "So...I'm gonna print out that recipe now...?" I said turning back to the computer.

"You do realize that instead of killing yourself trying to bake something yourself you can just buy pre made brownies at a human store. That's what I'm doing." She said in a monotone voice.

  I stopped typing and looked at her. "I did not think of that."

"Oh and Alex?"

"Yeah..."
"If I was gonna kill you I would have done it two days ago." She said with a smirk in her voice.
   *magical time skip to the day of the bake sale*
  Emily and I have become good friends over the past week. We sent out for our cookies and brownies from the store. When they arrived we realized that from the looks of it they were the only edible things at the bake sale.  The bake sale is part of the opening ceremony so everyone can get acquainted. One thing I've learned about Emily is that she isn't really much of a people person. Anyway after the opening ceremony the bake sale opens and afterwards its the weekend where everyone gets to go home. Since Emily isn't one to socialize I told her she can just follow me around.

   Someone tapped the microphone and got everyone's attention.  We all turned our attention to the speaker, it was King Dracula. "Greetings everyone! Welcome to Lunarstar Academy!" Everyone clapped and cheered in response.

"We hope everyone has made themselves at home. When you all return to your dorms you will find your schedules for the first semester-" He was interrupted by a chorus of groans."- You will also find that you and your roommate will ave the same schedule."

  Well that's a plus for those who have found their mates. At least I can make sure no one messes with Emily. If she can take me down when she's completely calm I don't want to see what she can do when she's mad.

"As you can see  the vampire dorm was kind enough to host the bake sale this year. Please feel free to stop by and taste some of the product that have been prepared for you."

   And with that said he walked off the stage and everyone went into an uproar of socializing. Emily and I eventually made it outside after pushing our way through the massive crowd of vampires,werewolves,angels, and demons. I could tell Emily was getting annoyed with everyone so i asked her if she wanted to go for a walk through the forest to get away from everyone. She agreed and we once again had to push our way through another crowd. But thankfully no one was near the forest, we were pretty far into the forest when she finally spoke up.

"So you know that my family is having a reunion this weekend, right?" she said in a almost bored tone.

"Yeah I remember you and your uncle talking about it. What about it?" I said glancing at her.

"Well my mom and dad were wondering if you wanted to come with us. If you don't have anything planned with your family that is."

  We stopped walking now "How does your family even know who I am?" I asked. "Aw Emily do you talk to your family about me?" I teased placing my arm over her shoulders.

She shrugged off my arm and scoffed. "No actually I don't. Uncle Vlad told Lucy and she jumped to conclusions and rambled off to my mother."

"Uh-huh. Suuurrre." I smirked.

"Whatever." she said rolling her eyes. "Come on lets go back to the dorms. I'm hungry and I don't know about you but i don't like animal blood." she said turning around to go back.

   I chuckled catching up to her. I once again placed my arm around her shoulders only this time she didn't shrug it off. I looked at her once more and saw a bit of color surrounding her. I smiled and we stayed that way until we made it to our dorm. Contrary to poplar belief vampires do sleep, we just don't have to sleep a much as a human. We can go months without sleep but we will weekend over time until we sleep. I changed into pajama pants and took off my shirt in the bathroom while Emily changed in our room. Before we went to sleep we each had a blood bag and looked over our schedule.

After looking over our schedule Emily decided to get some sleep since we have to make the trip to her family reunion tomorrow. I figured now would be a good time to notify my family I'll be at Emily's this weekend. After I got the okay from my parents i said my good nights to Emily and went to sleep.

I know the last chapter was on the short side so i decided to make this one extra long to make it up to you. I know this chapter was kinda uneventful but don't worry I have a lot planned for Alex and Emily at the reunion.
