It's Over, The End
EMILY'S POV
No matter what we did the him, Blythe wouldn't tell us anything. He insisted on only speaking to my mother. None of us thought it was a good idea but its been a little over a week and we were getting somewhat desperate.
"Mom, he'll only talk to you." I said as she was pacing around the room spewing out ideas on how to get him to talk that didn't invlove her.
"There has to be!" she says stopping to look at me.
"He's doing all this because he believes he's your mate right?" Alex asked drawing our attention to him by the window.
"It appears that way, yes." Uncle Vlad asnwered.
"So we should just prove that she isnt. Like we did with Zachary and Dominique." he says looking at me.
"But my father is dead, and she'll need her true mate to mark her. Not to mention we have no idea who or where his mate is."
He let out a sigh while running his fingers through his hair in frustration. We were all on edge so I wasn't suprised when he punched the wall.
"Did anyone claim him as their mate before you guys finished school?" I asked.
Uncle Vlad and mom paused for a moment or two trying to recall if such a person.
"There was one girl." Vlad replied "I just cant think of her name."
"I know who youre talking about. But she died a year before we all graduated." Mom said. "If I remember correctly her name was something like Marcy."
"So we have no way to break the connection he has with you." Alex said.
I let out a sigh before standing and walking to the door "Well sitting around like this isn't doing any good."
"Where are you going?" Mom asked me.
"To get results." was all I said before closing the door behind me.
I made my way to where we were holding Blythe and had the gaurds give us some privacy. He looked awful and the more I observed him the more pathetic he looked. He was hung on the wall by his arms and he was drenched in a mixture of blood and wolfsbane. His head was hung down almost like he was ashamed, I would have felt bad for him if I didn't know any better.
"Admiring their handy work?"he asked suddenly his voice was raspy and coarse.
"No, but now that you mention it they did a pretty good job."
Sarcasm was oozing from every word that the two of us spoke. You could almost see the tension that filled the room. Even in the state he was in he was still trying to act like the big bad alpha male.
"You know she's not your mate right. Why would your mate be put in excrutiating pain everytime you touched." It wasn't really a question it was more of a statement.
He looked up at me and didn't respond but you could tell that deep down he knew the truth, but he didn't want to admit it.
"There is a way to fix this kind of situation, you two would mark eachother then be marked by your true mates." I said as he looked away from me. Since he didn't say anything I just continued.
"However, Marcy died before you graduated and you murdered my father, so this can't be fixed safely."
This got his attention.
"What do you mean safely?" he asked.
This time I was the one to not respond. Instead I just turned and left. Iwalked up to one of the gaurds and told him to bring Blythe to the courtyard at sundown, which was only a few hours away. Meaning that I didn't have much time to get everything set up, so I had to work fast. Thankfully I didn't have to do everything by myself, so it was done just in time.
Shortly after Blythe was brought out still in chains, everyone else arrived.
"Emily? Whats going on?" Alex asked as he walked up to me.
"I told you I was getting things done." I answered, then I turned to the guards holding Blythe "Hang him up in the poles, please."
Uncle Vlad was the next to speak up. "Emily, what are you planning to do?"
"Father and Marcy are dead. Neither of them have their true mates to break the connection, this is the only way."
"What is the only way?"
"His death."
They all looked at me in shock, then looked as the guards started to pour the gasoline. Alex turned me to look at him as the shock wore off almost as if he was asking if I really wanted to do this. I nodded and we all turned to see the guards where done.
"Is there anything you want to say?"
"I've always loved you Raven." he said looking into my mother's eyes.
"But I have never loved you Blythe."
I took out a box of matches taking out as many as I would and lit them all.
Looking up at him all I could say was "It's over, the end." before I through the matches and started the fire.
