Previously on Lunarstar Academy.....
"Dang it! I was so close!" I said in frustration while he held a triumphant look on his face.
I rolled my eyes and went to answer the door. I opened to door and was immediately grabbed by the throat and pinned against the wall by my cousin Dominique. Alex automatically went into defense mode at the sound of the attack.
"Long time no see my dear cousin."She said with anger seeping into every word. "What's this I hear about you trying to take my mate from me?"

EMILY'S POV

I grabbed her wrist and quickly twisted it behind her back pinning her against the wall. "Hey Alex should I break her arm or not?" I asked.

"Let's see what she's talking about first." He said.

I nodded and let go of her and stepped back towards Alex. "Talk." I demanded.
She turned towards us and leaned against the wall. She scoffed at me "You're the one that has some explaining to do." She said in her usual whiny tone.

Okay I'm just confused now..."What the hell are you talking about Dominique?"
Alex could tell I was getting irritated cause he started to rub some small circles at the small of my back to try and help me calm down. "Like you don't know." She responded. Dominique brings out the worst in everybody she comes into contact with. I pity the poor fool who ends up being her mate. I took a deep breath before asking again "What the hell are you talking about Dominique?"

"You're trying to steal MY mate from me!"

Okay what? I looked over at Alex with a raised eyebrow, wondering if he had any idea as to what she was talking about. He looked back at me and shrugged. We both turned back to her with very confused looks on our faces.

Alex cleared his throat and asked "And WHO exactly is your supposed 'mate'?"

"Zachery duh! Who else would it be?!"

It took me a moment to realize who she was talking about, but when it finally clicked I couldn't stop myself from bursting out with laughter. "That mutt is your mate-" I had to take several moments to compose myself before continuing. "You think I'm trying to steal him from you?"

"I know you are."

"OH PLEASE! You can have him! I want nothing to do with him. My mate is standing right next to me."

She now looked very confused "What?"

Alex looked at her and said "It's your mate that won't leave her alone. So instead of coming here and making wild accusations you should go and have a talk with your mutt." 

Alex pushed her out of our room and locked the door. I let out a sigh of relief and smirked at him handing him the controller "Rematch?"

DOMINIQUE'S POV

THAT JERK! HOW DARE HE KICK ME OUT!!!! And what did he mean that Zach is the one following Emily around? Zach wouldn't do that to me, right? UGH! WHERE IS HE!? I figured he'd most likely be in the kitchen pigging out on whatever he could get his hands on. So that's where I started my search, and lucky for me that's where he was.

"ZACHERY!!!!!!!" 

I guess he didn't here me coming cause he jumped at the sound of his name. "What do you want Dominique!?" He said turning towards me.

"I want to know why you're following Emily around like a lost puppy!"

He rolled his eyes at me and said "She's my mate."

WHAT!? SHE'S HIS MATE!? NO, I'M HIS MATE! "No." I said

"No? What do you mean 'no'?"

Ugh is this guy stupid or something.? "You can't be her mate."

"And why not?" he asked beginning to get frustrated.

"Well 1) you're MY mate 2) you don't know her like at all and 3) she already HAS a mate. DUH!"

ZACHERY'S POV

Ugh! Why did I tell her that Emily was my mate!? Her uncle made it pretty clear that apparently that wasn't true. I just don't want to believe it. And what was Dominique talking about? How can I be HER mate if I feel the bond with Emily?

"You don't believe me do you?" Dominique said. "Do you want me to prove it?"

I rolled my eyes at her and asked "How do you plan to prove it?"

She didn't respond verbally, instead she grabbed me by the back of the head and crashed her lips onto mine. Sparks erupted everywhere she touched. I was so confused, why do I feel sparks with her but no mate bond? I know that when a werewolf finds their mate they feel sparks when they touch, but I feel the mate bond with Emily. 

I pulled away from the kiss with a bit of reluctance. "What's wrong?" Dominique asked hurt evident in her voice. I let out a frustrated sigh before looking her in the eye, "We need to talk to your uncle."

EMILY'S POV

I had just beat Alex for the 5th time and we were now tied. Who ever won the next round would win and the loser would have to grant the winner three wishes. I don't know what i'd ask for but I was not about to go down with out a fight. The final round was almost over and we were neck in neck, but we were once again so rudely interrupted by someone turning off our game off. We both looked up to see who it was and let me tell you neither one of us were happy to see who they were.

Alex got up ready to attack within a matter of seconds. "What the hell are you doing here pup?!" He asked.

The mutt let out a sigh looking at me before he answered "Your uncle needs to talk to you. We have a problem."

I rolled my eyes before standing up and dragging Alex out of there with the pup following close behind me. No way in hell was I leaving those two alone, especially in my room, my books are too precious to me for that to happen. We got to my uncles study relatively quick since Alex and I were trying to put as much distance between us and what was his name again? Oh yeah Zach or something like that.

I didn't even bother knocking this time. We walked in and got met with a very angry Dominique and a very confused uncle. "What's the problem?" I asked.

"You're the problem." Dominique said.

"Shut up Dominique." Uncle snapped "The problem is Zach doesn't feel the mate bond with his actual mate."

"What are you talking about uncle? And how does this involve me?"

Uncle stood up from his desk and stood in front of me while holding out his hand towards me. I glanced over at Alex before taking his hand. He then held out his hand towards Zach, the mutt was reluctant with the glare Alex was sending his was but took my uncles hand nonetheless. 

"Uncle Vlad, what are you doing?" I asked becoming more confused my the second.

"I'm testing something. Just trust me." He responded.

All I could do was nod before he brought Zach's hand to mine. As soon as his skin touched mine I felt a excruciating pain consumed my entire body. I let out a blood curdling scream trying to rip my hand away from his, but Uncle held me there. Alex was by my side immediately trying to get my uncle to let me go.

"LET HER GO! LET HER GO!" he screamed. All the while Zach looked horrified and Dominique looked amused by the whole ordeal. 

Finally after what seemed like forever uncle let go of my hand and I dropped to the floor panting still in a lot of pain. I looked up at uncle anger filling me "WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED!?" I yelled tears trying to force their way down my face. 

"I don't know. I've never even heard of something like this before." He said sitting back down at his desk. He let out a frustrated sigh. Uncle Vlad hated not knowing something "I'm gonna have to go talked to the elders. See of they know what happened." He looked up again.

"Take her to go feed, whatever that was it took a lot out of her."

Alex nodded helping me stand and taking me out of the room, the mutt took a step in my direction to help but the glare Alex sent him stopped his dead in his tracks.

UNCLE VLAD'S POV

Emily looked horrible walking out of my office. I've never seen her look so weak and worn down. I looked towards Dominique and Zachery dismissing them, telling them to go to their room. After they left I called in my top guard.

"Go pack my bags, I'll be leaving as soon as possible."
