Previously in Lunarstar Academy.....

I released uncle from my grip and turned towards Alex "Let's go and get this over with."

     Everyone nodded and we left. It didn't take long to find the dorms that uncle was talking about. It did, however, take a while to find one that wasn't disgusting. Once we did, Dominique tried to talk Zach out of it. For a moment I thought he was gonna listen to her, but thankfully he wanted this to end so we could all go on with our lives. I gave Alex's hand and slight squeeze before Zachery and I faced each other.

"Let's do this." I said stepping towards him.

EMILY'S POV

     I took a deep breath trying to calm by churning stomach. I closed my eyes, mentally preparing for the pain I was about experience. Zachery hesitantly reached for me, thankfully grabbing my shoulder that was covered by my shirt. He leaned in closed to my neck where he would mark me and I leaned my head to the side to give him better access.

"I'm sorry." he said in a pained voice before his canines extended and pierced my flesh.

     A blood curdling scream ripped its way out of my throat as the pain once again consumed me. Only, this time it was burning in my blood making it so much worse. I could tell that Dominique was furious that he was marking me but overjoyed at the sight of me in such immense amount of pain. I opened my eyes and found the spot for me to mark him and quickly bit down. The taste of his blood was like hot garbage and it took everything in me not to stop and gag. Soon after there was a flash of red light and we were knocked away from each other.

I coughed up the remaining blood in my mouth and put pressure on my neck. Alex was by my side immediately to help get me to my feet. After I was able to stand up I looked over at Zachery and Dominique, "You good?" I asked him.

     He simply nodded in response before turning to Dominique so she can help him to his feet. We nodded to them and left to find a different room. Alex guided me to a bed that was left behind and used his jacket sleeve to wipe away the remaining blood on my neck. His eyes flashed red at the sight of the fresh mark on my neck. Alex took a deep breath calming himself down before bringing his wrist to his mouth and bit down. He brought his bloody wrist to my mouth "Drink, you need blood." 

     I gently held his wrist wrapping my mouth around the wound he made. The taste of his blood covered my tongue washing away any lingering flavor of Zachery's blood. Alex's blood tasted sweet with a little bit of spice and it was delicious. After I had enough I took his wrist away from my mouth and licked my lips.

"Better?" He asked not taking his eyes off me.

"Yeah, thank you." I answered turning to look at him "You ready?" I asked.

The mate bond I had established with him was broken now that Zachery and I had marked each other and it all felt wrong. I felt disgusted to have that mutt have access to my thoughts. I looked up at Alex and saw his eyes flashing between red and blue as he was trying to stay calm.

"Alex, hey look at me." I said snapping my fingers to get his attention.

His eyes went back to their natural blue color as he looked at me. I asked him again "Are you ready?"

     He nodded gently grabbing my head tilting it to the side for access to my neck. His other hand traveled to the small of my back pulling me closer. I wrapped my arms around him as I placed my head in the crook of his neck where I would mark him. I hissed in slight pain when he opened his mouth his fangs dragging slightly over my fresh mark. He slowly added pressure to my sore skin. He pierced my flesh only this time it was not accompanied by excruciating pain. I gently brought my fangs to his neck breaking the boundary of skin. I closed my eyes as the feeling of the mate bond reunite between us. We carefully extracted our fangs from each other before looking at each other again. 

"Do you think it worked?" He asked pulling me into his arms.

"Damn, I hope so." I said and he chuckled at my response. "Come on let go back and get some sleep." I said trying to stand up.

Trying being the operative word, because my knees gave out beneath me. Alex thankfully caught me before my face met the floor. This whole ordeal really took a lot out of me, Alex picked me up and carried me back to our dorm room as I fell asleep in his arms.
