Percy's POV:

'Did you have to antagonize them?' Iota asked and I chuckled mentally

'Yes, yes we did' Instinct said as the wolves started to growl before they slowly started to stalk forward

I smirked as I crouched down low and extended my hidden blades. Causing the wolves to falter and halt in their tracks.

"Not so confident, now are you?" I ask as the largest wolf, the one I barked at, stepped forward and growled before trying to invade my mind

I opened my mind and felt the presence of a goddess.

'Young pup, who are you? And why are you here?' the goddess asked and I tilted my head

"I think... my name is Percy, and I have no clue where 'here' is" I say not raising from my stance

'You are at the wolf house, you were sent here to train so you can join the legion' the goddess explained as she stalked around her pack 'I am Lupa, the mother of Rome, have you heard of me?'

"Nope, I don't remember anything apart from my name" I say lying out my ass "But you said training, and I think I like training" I finished trying to speed this up so I can get to camp

'Yes, and your first lesson starts now' Lupa said and I smirked mentally 'Pick your opponent, that will decide what training routine is best for you' Lupa said and I looked around

'I say we fight Lupa' Instinct said

'I agree' Iota replied

I looked at Lupa and saw her lip curl and I smirked.

'I see you have chosen, if you can pin me, then you will be trained as a Centurion. And you will be admitted into the Legion as such. I only offer you this because no one has ever been foolish enough to challenge me' Lupa said as she jumped back and growled as I chuckled

I launched forward, drawing on the water vaper in the air to start collecting nearby. Lupa glared at me before lunging forward trying to knock me onto my back, but I jumped over her and landed behind her. I spun around and held my hands out and willed the water vapor to form claws onto my hands.

'Iota, think of a plan to pin her' I told Iota mentally and I felt a mental nod in return

'You think you can best me, demigod?' Lupa said and I laughed out loud

I surged forward again, just as Lupa launched forward and I felt Iota take control. I watched as he ducked under a swipe of Lupa's claws and then placed my hand on her stomach and willed the water around her before he dived away and then willed the water to travel to her paws and stick her to the ground, unable to move.

'Done' Iota said proudly and I chuckled

"I win" I announced and Lupa was silent for a few minutes

'You are very skilled, I will train you to be a Centurion. Then I will accompany you to New Rome so you may be admitted in as the proper rank' Lupa said and I nodded as I released her from her Ice bonds

A wolf then walked over with a sword that was sheathed in it's mouth. I grabbed the blade and found that it was nicely balanced. I unsheathed it to find a gold blade that was razor sharp, and was sharpened to a point.

'A roman Gladius, the main weapon for all legionnaires, as a Centurion you are required to have at least a gladius unless there is a shortage in weapons. Then you must find a suitable replacement' Lupa explained and I nodded as I put the sheathe on my back just above my butt and had the handle on my right side 'Why do you not put it on your waist?' She asked curiously and I chuckled as I let my cloaking fall causing her mouth to open and close a bit before I cloaked them again

"I have to find a new spot for my weapons every time I gain one. As you can see, I'm running out of room" I say and she nods "So, what training do I need?"

'Well, you need proper legion training, then after that, if you want, I can teach you about being a senator' Lupa said and I nodded

Over the next few hours Lupa taught me the fundamentals of the Roman legion and how they relied on teamwork. I then took the course in being a senator because Iota was interested so while Iota learned, Instinct and I played a mental game of chess. When that was finished Lupa made sure I grabbed enough food and water for the trip south.

'Perseus, are you ready?' Lupa asked patiently while I walked up to her

"Yes, I am ready, lets head out" I said and Lupa stood up and walked by my side

I had my bow backpack on, and my hood up. We started walking out and I had a feeling we were being watched.

'My pack will keep monsters from us, so do not worry' Lupa explained and I sighed as Iota took control again and Instinct and I played another few games of mental chess

Several hours later and we arrived at a tunnel that was in the middle of a highway.

'This can't be safe' Instinct muttered as he moved his Bishop into place to try and put me into Check

'Oh, it's definitely not' I responded as I moved my queen and took his Bishop and also put him into Check mate

'Hey, Percy, your up' Iota said and I switch place with Iota

'So when you meet them, you must be polite' Lupa said and I looked at her

"Huh?" I asked and She looked at me

'I thought you were paying attention' Lupa said confused 'You are the first demigod to ever pay attention to my teachings on the Senate' She said and I smiled

'IOTA!!! I Need information!' I said mentally and felt the information flood in

"Oh, sorry, I spaced out for a second" I said covering my tracks "So when I meet the Praetors, I need to be polite, got it" I said and Lupa gave a wolfish smile as she leads me up to two guards

"Halt, who goes there?" One guard said and Lupa stepped forward

'Stand down children of Rome' Lupa said and the two guards bow

"We apologize lady Lupa, who is this? A new recruit?" the right one says and Lupa curls her lip slightly

'No, he is a new Centurion, I made him a deal that if he should beat me, then he would be made a centurion' Lupa said and they both looked at me

"You challenged a goddess and won?" the first one asked and I nodded "Alright, I would speak to Praetor Reyna before you do anything else"

'Woah, wait, Reyna is Praetor' Instinct said

'Since when?' I asked

'Perseus, come along' Lupa said and I followed her into the tunnel

A few minutes later we were at a rushing river and I looked at it.

'The little Tiber' Lupa said and I nodded

'If we wade through the water we will lose the Achilles curse, I suggest we jump it' Iota says and I nod mentally as I crouch down

I then leapt forward and landed on the edge of the opposite bank of the river. I stood up and smiled when I found myself still bearing the curse.

'Shadow will be happy that I kept the curse' I said to Iota and Instinct and they chuckled

'Perseus, that was not such a wise move, you have attracted the attention of Camp Jupiter's sentries, why couldn't you just walk through the water like a normal person?' Lupa asked and I smirked

"I'm anything but normal, you should know this by now" I said as she let out a wolfish sigh and I heard the blaring of horns as people rushed out of a gate up ahead and raced toward me

"Surrender in the name of Rome!" A guy yelled and I looked at him

He was a blond, scrawny kid that looked like he wouldn't think twice about stabbing you in the back'

'I already hate him' Iota, Instinct, and I said immediately

'Children of Rome, stand down, he means no harm' Lupa said and the blond scrawny kid narrowed his eyes at me as he leveled his spear at me

"Do it kid, you won't" I taunted and the kid growled before he attempted to thrust forward and stab me but I grabbed his spear and stopped it an inch from my chest and held it in place "Is that all you got?" I mocked as I pushed the spear back and knocked the kid over

"Octavian, you dare defy Lupa's orders?" A familiar voice called out and I heard the kid growl and stand up

"He could be an enemy of Rome" Octavian retorted and I chuckled

"Mate, I barely remember anything apart from my name and what Lupa has told me over the past few hours" I said and I saw a familiar girl with black hair and black eyes wearing golden armor and a purple cape make her way to the front

Reyna stopped short when she saw me, and I could tell she was forcing herself not to run to me.

'Stand down pup' Lupa said to Octavian before turning to Reyna 'This is Perseus Jackson, he is a new Centurion to the legion' Everyone gasped when they heard that and they all looked at me

"How did you get Centurion?" A girl with gold eyes said Lupa chuckled

'He challenged me for his first test, and he pinned me with in seconds' Lupa admitted and everyone was silent before they started yelling in outrage except for Reyna who was smiling widely

"Silence!" Reyna yelled "I will take this new addition to my quarters to find out if he is telling the truth, I do not doubt what Lupa says but I will take extra precaution just to ensure the safety of Camp Jupiter" Reyna said and Lupa nodded before she flashed off

After that, the soldiers dispersed leaving only a chubby Asian with a military haircut and the golden eyed girl who seemed awkward around each other. It was at this point that Instinct took control from me and chuckled.

"Not to be rude or anything but, you two are so awkward around each other it's kind of funny. Just admit that you both like each other" Instinct said and I, with the help of Iota, took control away from him and I shook my head "Sorry, I acted on instinct, I've said that a few times when walking from the wolf house to here to keep busy" I said and I heard Iota berating Instinct for acting so, instinctively

"I-It's al-alright" the gold eyed girl said and I spotted a shiny object pop up from below her causing her to shriek and pick it up before jogging away while the guy just followed after her

"So, Perseus, if you would follow me, I have some questions to ask you" Reyna said seriously but I could see the happiness in her eyes

"Of course Praetor Reyna" I said with a smirk "Lead the way"

A/N: I know, boring, don't worry, the next chapter will have war games... hehehe, Percy's going to have some fun
