Percy's POV:

'175... 176... 177... 178... 179... 180...' Instinct counted humorously as I ate popcorn as I saw my life thread dangle from the fates hands

I lifted my left arm up and checked the time before going back to eating popcorn. Finally taking pity on the whole room I sighed as I stood up despite the soreness in my joints.

"Well, this was fun, can we move on from this now?" I say in a tone that causes everyone to stay there staring at me speechless

Finally, Atropos blinked and stared at me, stunned.

"How are you still alive?" Atropos says confused and I smirk

"When you cut my thread, and attempted to end my life you forgot one, very important thing" I say as Phoenix's eyes sparkle with amusement and the fate's tilt their heads "I'm Percy Fucking Jackson"

"That doesn't make any sense" Clotho said as she tried to figure out what was wrong

At that moment, Skyla flashed into the room holding a satchel and froze when she saw the dead quiet room.

"Is this a bad time?" Skyla asked as she saw the broken thread and then looked at me to find my signature smirk

"Nah, your good, the fates here just tried to cut my life short" I respond calmly as I fought off the urge to just pass out

"Oh, really now?" Skyla said as she turned to her nieces and her eyes pulsed with power "And tell me, why did you try to kill my friends friend?"

"He disrupted fate!" Lachesis shouted and Skyla tilted her head

"Really? Because from what I heard, the prophecy was complete" Skyla says simply and the fates turned red in the face

"Phoebus Apollo!" Atropos yelled at the sun god "Summon Delphi to the throne room now!"

Suddenly a green fog appeared and the familiar figure of the spirit of Delphi appeared and looked around.

"Delphi, recite the prophecy given to Zoe Nightshade" Clotho demanded and I saw a small smile being repressed on Delphi's lips

"Of course" Delphi said as she opened her mouth and more fog spewed out "Five shall go west to the goddess in chains

One shall be lost in the land without rain

The bane of Olympus shows the trail

Campers and Hunters combined prevail

The Titans curse one must withstand

And one shall be saved by an unforeseen hand" Delphi recited and I smirked as the fog stopped spewing out of her mouth and she looked at the fates "That Prophecy was completed when Zoe was saved by Reyna Avila Ramirez Arellano's Shield as it intercepted Atlas' spear" Delphi finished and Skyla looked at the Fates who were now huddled up next to one another

"So, you were wrong, and fate wasn't changed" Skyla concluded as she snapped her fingers and a portal opened "Now will you please leave this throne room and not mess up again?" The fates nodded before they stepped into the portal

As Clotho stepped into the portal it snapped close before I felt myself finally losing consciousness. My knees buckled and Skyla instantly caught me and laid me down.

"I'm going to go to sleep now" I mutter before I allow myself to succumb to my sleep deprivation

Zoe's POV:

I watched as Percy collapsed and my breath caught in my throat.

"He's fine, he just hasn't slept in days, that and the fact that he used all of his energy and was running on what was left of his coffee" the new girl said and I let out a large sigh of relief

"How long will he be out?" Artemis asked and everyone turned to her to see her genuinely concerned

"Two to Three days, his body needs time to recover" She says before she frowns as she notices the other guardians bowing except for Phoenix "Um why are you bowing?" She asks and Katelyn looks up

"You are Lord Chaos' daughter are you not?" Katelyn asks and Skyla nods but holds up her hand to stop us from bowing

"Like my father, I hate bowing" with that the guardians stayed kneeling as the girl walked over to Phoenix before opening her satchel and pulling out a thick file and handing it to him before whispering to him

Phoenix smiled and nodded his head as he hid the file from view however I swear I saw the glint of gold lettering that said 'son' in ancient Greek. I will have to get Phoenix to tell me about that file later.

Phoenix's POV:

"Holy shit that was close" Skyla whispers to me as Delphi disappears but the fog still lingers confusing some people

"Yeah, but you pulled it off. Good job by the way" I responded as I smiled and hid Percy's file from view "Anyway, thanks Skyla, I owe you a few" I finish and Skyla nods before she flashes out causing the fog to finally disappear

"Well, now that that's over, why don't we just skip the formalities and everything and go straight to the after party" I say to which Zeus nods along with the other Olympians

Suddenly, the throne room is converted into a dance floor and I move Percy over to the side.

"You are one lucky bastard Perce, you really are" I told a sleeping Percy who just rolled over and extended his middle finger at me "Well, welcome back to the land of the living"

"No shit, dude you have no idea how sore I am. I mean I can move finally, but seriously, the past few days? Not fun, funny yes, but not fun" Percy says as he sits up and I hand him a flask of nectar and a bar of ambrosia

Poseidon sees Percy awake and just snaps his fingers causing several gallons of water to appear near him.

"Hey, Perce I got you something" I mutter to him and he looks at me as he finishes eating the Ambrosia

"Yeah?" He asks and I pull his file out and give it to him and he smirks "Thanks" He says as he wills his bow into a backpack and puts the file in it before having it turn back into his bow

"That is the only reason you are alive, and you owe Skyla now" I say and Percy chuckles as he starts drinking water

"I'll make sure I remember that." He says and I notice Zoe walking over

"Phoenix, Percy, what the hell!?" Zoe whisper shouted at us "What was that file? How is Percy still alive?" She asked and I looked at Percy

"She found out when I tackled the Nemean lion" He says simply and I nod

"Well, if you must know, that file is what kept Percy alive" I say quietly "You see, the fates have to move the file of the person they need to kill from the living section or whatever section they are in, into the deceased section. They moved one of Percy's files into that second back before the giant war and they cut his string then. But they also moved his new file, which Skyla put in his hold file, into that section. But Skyla retrieved the file before the fates could cut his string" I explain and Zoe looks confused and I sigh "The files are like a contract, when they are in the living section they don't need to be looked at, but to cut someone's thread, they need to take the file out of the living section and put it in the 'will be dead' section. The thread is like a signature completing the action. So, if you have a contract and no signature, that person is alive, but when the thread is cut, that contract is then 'Signed' and the person dies. Basically, what Skyla did is removed the contract so the fates just sighed a random ass piece of paper. Percy is now beyond the power of the fates" I finish and Zoe's eyes widened

"But he can still be killed?" She asks and I nod

"Yes, because the file just prevents the fates from cutting the thread, a person can still die without their thread being cut" I comment and Zoe nods before she takes a hairpin out of her hair and hands it to Percy

"Like I said Percy, you earned it" Zoe says before we watch the hairclip turn into a ballpoint pen and Percy smirks

"You know when they say the pen is mightier than the sword?" He asks and we both nod "Well, I have a pen that turns into a sword, what does that mean?" At this I laugh and just shake my head

"I don't know man, but I believe it means you have the mightiest weapon in the world, aside from my sword, and Lunar's light" I said and Percy nodded

"So, what now?" Zoe asks and I look at her

"We enjoy the party, then head back to camp for another round of Capture the flag" I say and Zoe smiles

"Well, I don't know about you two, but I am going to take a nice long nap when I get back. I think I deserve it" Percy says and I laugh

"Sure, you do." I say simply as I lean back and enjoy the time sitting next to Percy

Zoe sits down on Percy's other side while we watch everyone dance and have a good time. That is until Artemis walks over with Zane by her side. Zane snaps his fingers and Percy is enshrouded in a bright light. Once it fades, I find that he is wearing his nice-looking outfit he wore to Westover's prom.

"Sorry Perseus, but I think Lady Artemis want's a dance" Zane said in a tone of voice that said, 'I am not at all sorry but good luck' and Percy sighed as he forced himself up

"I'll do it because I am fearless" he said in a fearful tone to which we all laughed at but Artemis just rolled her eyes

"Come on Perseus, or do I have to castrate you?" Artemis said seriously and I laughed as Percy paled and just nodded as he lead Artemis out onto the dance floor

"Ten bucks says Artemis finds out" Zoe whispered to me and I looked at her and smirked

"Deal" I said and we shook hands and watched as the two slow danced like a normal couple "Yeah not going to say that aloud" I mutter under my breath
