Percy's POV:

After I explained how I was kidnapped by Hera and everything that happened in the past few months, except the engagement to Artemis of course. When I finished explaining, we all walked to the dining hall where we found a load of food displayed on the tables and I turned to the Campers.

"Well, eat up!" I announce to everyone and in a moment everyone charges past me to get a bite of the food

I laugh as I spot Artemis and her hunters sitting down at a table and eating. I make my way over before sitting next to Artemis who smiles at me. I smile back as I start eating.

(Time Skip a few hours)

A few hours later I found myself talking to Reyna about leaving for the quest when out of the corner of my eye I spot a very familiar person and I sigh.

"Excuse me Reyna" I say before walking off and toward the man who seems to be looking around "Hey Chris" I say and he looks at me

"Ahh, Percy, just the guy I was looking for, mind if we speak privately?" he said and I nodded before we walked off a ways

"So, what did you need to talk to me about?" I asked and he sighed

"The doors of death, a pathway that is being exploited by my daughter Gaia and her minions. Percy, what I am asking you to do is very very dangerous, even for a guardian" He said and I nod slowly

"What is it?" I ask calmly

"I am asking you to go to Tartarus, find the doors, eradicate any and all forces guarding the doors before sealing them off completely, once you do that, I will figure out a way to get you out that doesn't require you to claw your way out" He said and I felt my blood run cold

'He wants us to go to Tartarus?' Instinct asked

'Yes, I think that's what he said, and he also said about closing the doors of death' Iota said and I nodded slowly

"Alright, I'll do it, but first I need to find the entrance" I said and he nodded before snapping his fingers and a miniature globe appeared before he spun it around and a red dot flashed in Rome

"You will find the entrance to Tartarus here, in Rome, but be careful, there are monsters guarding the entrance" He said and I nodded

"Percy, what are you doing with Chris?" I heard Artemis ask and I cursed as she walked up

"Chris, asked me to do a favor for him" I said trying to avoid the topic

"What was the favor?" She asked and I mentally started freaking out

'We need a lie and stat!' Instinct yelled

'I can't think of one! Oh gods!' Iota shouted and Artemis narrowed her eyes

"Don't you dare even think about lying to me" She said in a low voice and all conversations that were being held mentally stopped "What. Was. The. Favor!" She said in a quiet voice that scared the hades out of me

"He... uh... wanted me to... erm... gototartarusandclosethedoorsofdeath" I said extremely quickly and she narrowed her eyes more

"Slower" She said and I nodded

"He wanted me to go to Tartarus to close the doors of death" I said quietly

"No" was all she said and Chaos looked at her in shock

"What?" He asked

"I said no, Percy is not going anywhere, get the quest members to do it but Percy is staying here, I will not allow him to run off to his death again" She said and I shook my head

"Arty, I have to do this" I said and she shook her head

"No, you don't you are my guardian and my fiancé, your place is by my side" She said pleadingly

"Arty, if those doors aren't closed, then there wont be a future, I need to do this" I said as I took her hands in mine "I will be back before you know it" I said and I saw a few tears in her eyes

"Fine, but the hunters and I will see you off, where are we going?" Artemis said in a small voice

"Rome, there we will find the entrance" I said and she nodded before wiping her eyes

"Alright, I will let the hunters know to be ready immediately" She said before kissing me lightly on the lips

"Thank you Arty" I say and she nods again before walking towards the hunters

'I have a bad feeling about this' Instinct said

'I do too, but we have to indulge her at least a little or else we won't be able to get those doors closed' Iota said and I nodded mentally as Chaos sighed

"So, you popped the question?" He asked and I nodded

"Yeah, on Christmas, gave her an empty box to unwrap while I got into position, she was about to scream at my face when I asked her" I said and he nodded

"Did you forge the ring when you asked me to distract her?" He questioned and I chuckled

"Yeah" I said and Artemis and the hunters walked over

"We're ready" Artemis said and Chaos nodded before snapping his fingers and a portal appears

"This will lead you to Rome, but you have to find the location yourselves, I am sorry but this is as much as I can do to help" He said and I nodded as the hunters walked through the portal

"Hey Chris, tell the others that the hunters and I had to leave alright?" I asked and he nodded before I walked through the portal and arrived in a street in Rome with the hunters

"Okay, let's get searching..." I say

'It looked like it was under a large building from what I remember' Iota said and I nodded as we start walking around looking for any large ass hole in the ground

"Hey, while we're here can we go see the Colosseum?" I ask and Artemis giggles along with several other members of the hunt "Hey. You can't blame me for missing the entire Roman empire" I said and Artemis laughs

"I can too blame you, you are the one who decided to jump in front of a spear" She said before she grew a sad smile that I noticed and quickly grabbed her hand

"I'm here now though, and I will come back, I'm like a boomerang" I say and Artemis laughs along with the rest of the hunt as we made our way to the Colosseum

Artemis casted a thick veil of mist over our group as we entered the old building so we wouldn't be seen. However, as I entered I heard a distant roar of screaming fans and I was hit by a massive headache.

I dropped to the ground as flashes of a fight entered my mind. The fight was against me and Shadow and I held my head as the images finished passing through my head. Once they were done, I stood up and found the hunters staring at me in concern.

"Percy are you alright?" Artemis asked as gripped my hand and I smiled at her

"I'm fine moonbeam, just a little headache" I said and she stared at me with worried eyes "I promise" I said before leading her and the hunters into the middle of the Colosseum which seemed to be deserted

"This isn't right, normally there are people visiting this place..." Thalia said and I looked at her "I had a few friends that have been here" she explained and I nodded as I looked at the middle and sighed before pinching the bridge of my nose

In the center of the Colosseum was a large hole that was filled with an unnatural darkness.

"Well, I guess this is where we part for now" I said when two laughs echoed through the stones of the Colosseum as the entire hunt, Artemis, and myself were propelled into the center

"Did you see that Otis? Our piston contraption worked! It threw twenty two new contestants into the arena to fight us" A voice said and I growled as I pulled my gladius out of the sheathe on my back and spun it in my hand as two giants walked out

"Otis and Ephialtes, bane of Dionysus" I said and the hunters drew their weapons and prepared to fire

"See? We are Famous!" Otis said and I growled before charging while the hunters started shooting volley after volley

I looked to my side and saw Artemis keeping pace with me with her hunting knives out. We reached the giants who had summoned their spears and thrusted towards us. We both dived forward before reaching the giants. I swung my gladius across Otis' thigh causing golden blood to flow freely before it quickly closed up. I growled at the self healing as Otis thrusted his spear at my chest. I didn't block and I smirked as the spear glanced harmlessly off my chest.

"So you have the curse of Achilles then do you?" Otis growled and I smirked "Then I guess we have to defeat you another way" He said as I heard Artemis let out a scream of pain

I whipped my head around and saw Ephialtes holding Artemis over the hole and I ground my teeth.

"Girls Run!" Artemis said and Thalia made to run for Artemis but I stopped her

"Listen to her, get out of here, get to somewhere safe" I said as I gave Zoe a black Wofrium coin "Zoe you know what to do" I said and the girls all ran away while I turned to the giants who dropped Artemis into Tartarus

"We have bested Artemis!" Ephialtes screamed in triumph but I growled as I sheathed my gladius and summoned Lunar's Light

"But not her Guardian" I growled as I released my power and saw my skin gain a silver aura

I quickly swung Lunar's Light horizontally causing a crescent moon shape of pure energy fly out and slam into Otis knocking him back into the pit. I then charged Ephialtes and leapt at him before placing my feet on him.

"If I'm going down, you're coming with but in the form of dust" I growl as we both topple over the edge with a terrified look on the giant's face
