Once I got back up, there was a group of wolves that poured into camp- the Guardian League. They were the second best League a pack has. The Guardian League is filled with 10 of the strongest wolves in the pack. Those wolves defend the pack. They leave camp before the Dawnly Hunters do and they don't come back until dusk. But it was nowhere near dusk, the sun still danced above the camp, its brutal summer waves beating down on our pelts. Why are they here now?
     Half of the group was surrounding a canine a bit older than me. A muscular wolf. I watched as the leader of the group stepped forwards.
"Alpha, we caught this wolf trespassing on our territory. A Rogue. He fought us as we confronted him, filthy canine, he thought he could beat the Guardians. We brought him here for you to deal with. Quite strong for his age." The 5 wolves surrounding the wolf shoved him forwards in front of Bark.
"A strong build... no brains... He is not of value to this pack. Kill him." A sudden urge forced me to speak up, I couldn't stop myself, and I didn't know why I spoke, but I did, "W-wait," I stuttered as Bark and the Leader of the Guardians turned to me, "h-he injured three Guardians... A wolf must have quite strength to do that if he is facing ten. And he has enough brains to defend himself, maybe that can be formed into loyalty to Slypack..." I spoke before I could process the words leaving my mouth.
"YOU barely have loyalty to this pack, the alpha just got you to bow down before him. Why should we listen to you?" One of the Betas snarled harshly.
"Because she has a point," I turned to see Radium step forwards.
"Alpha, with all respect, the wolf is quite muscular and he has loyalty hidden beneath the muscle and bones, that kind of loyalty is valued in Slypack." Galaxis barked.
"You can have a few Guards watch him and he can eventually be trusted."
"That would be a waste of wolves. He is too strong for his own good." The second Beta snarled, shooting an angry glance at the wolf.
"Tell us your name, Rogue." Bark growled lowly.
"Tank." He responded in a harsh snap, the response seeming to shoot out of his mouth like a gun.
"Make them be the guards! They want him to stay so bad, make them waste their energy!" A wolf in the background barked.
"Alright. You three will watch him. Day and night, that's final."
I struggled to keep my tail from wagging with a strange excitement. Instead, I nodded.
     Bark then dismissed the Guardians and they put him into the old Omega den before leaving camp once more. I followed, Galaxis at my side. We sat on either side of the entrance. Radium joined us and laid down in front of us both. We had bonded so well in the little amount of time got on the way back to Slypack Camp.
