Skye struggles to survive as the last few of a dying species. Vampires are slowly going extinct after years of starving in a world where bionic tech has been integrated in just about every aspect of life. She can slowly starve death or chance drinking blood and being poisoned.

Zia's life takes a turn after an accident that left her scarred and broken. Just as she learns to use her new arm, what seems to be yet another accident changes her life forever.
