'Just tonight, the mayor has been found dead in his own home; police are on the case. The following images may be disturbing'

The footage on the screen switched to the mayor lying dead, tape covering almost his entire face. There were words though, 'no more lies'.

Miyabi shuddered and slipped on black leather boots and gloves that stretched over halfway up her arm. Quickly changing into black shorts and a white t-shirt before finishing the look with a white mask with holes cut for the eyes and one small hole by the mouth. She grabbed a gun and slotted it and another knife into small leg straps , before grabbing some throwing knives and sticking them in her hair that she neatly tied into a bun.

She opened the window and climbed out, following her father as he jumped from building to building with his cape fluttering behind him.

He didn't like her coming with him but he had to admit he needed the help, so in the end he allowed her to help him solve cases and not do anything 'physical'.

Unlike him, she climbed from buildings and didn't swing from them with a grappling hook; though that was probably the easiest way, she liked to jump over the rooftops by hand.

 Miyabi could teleport but eh, she was too lazy.

Her father was 'Batman', the shadows, and she was known as the night.

Miyabi came out during the night and hid in every dark area, not just the shadows; and some criminals were afraid she'd come out of nowhere. She liked to disappear into he dark, and unlike her father, she could hide for hours in a narrow space; waiting for the right moment.

She landed by the window, her father landing beside her. He gave her a quick glance, and then opened the window.

"What the hell are they doing here?!" The chief practically yelled.

"They are with me" Gordon was about the only cop who trusted them, and in return she trusted him and was sure her father did too.

Unlike Miyabi father's reputation, she kept to herself; so barely any criminal knew about her existence. But if they did, most were too scared to spread the word.

Gordon handed them the letter addressed to Batman and her father opened it.
It was a card with strange images in the front and when it was opened the only thing that stood out was a riddle.

'What does a liar do when he's dead'

The answer came to mind immediately.

"He lies still" She muttered.

"What?" Gordon asked, raising a brow at the masked figure. To think about it he hadn't seen them before, but if they were with Batman they were probably trustworthy.

"He lies still is what she said, and I think that's the answer too" Miyabi's Father responded for her, he knew what she thought about human interaction so he tried to make it less...difficult.

Miyabi walked off as Gordon and her father continued to talk, and she went to go see the body.

It was strange. The riddles reminded her of and old friend, but she didn't know where he was now. Besides, he had never been the one to have enough guts to do something like this; and for all she knew, he didn't seem like a murderer.
