Draver scowled as the feeling of deja-vu set in. "Fucking hell, Castor. Seriously? I don't even know why we bother with giving you tasks- you can't even do one job right!"

"Nevermind that," I followed Castor as we moved up the cabins until we reached the wings of the plane where Stark laid motionless, his skin pale and transluscent.

I frowned, sitting down next to him. I pulled his head in my lap. "He looks like he's suffering from anemia..."

Jazz dragged a hand down his face. "Iris, diagnosis please."

She pushed forward and kneeled down next to Stark. I took note that the other Lycans had stayed away from him. Iris's hands glowed a soft purple as she hovered them above his torso, as if scanning him.

"Malnutrition, but it's not normal for us Lycans. He's severely lacking iron." she frowned. "I can't heal him."

"Castor, what did you do?" Lorena hissed, slapping his shoulder.

"I just nicked myself and then he looked like he was going to faint."

Alric cupped his jaw. "Maybe it has to do with his affinity for blood."

"If that was the case then I'd be able to heal him." Iris insisted. "This isn't right. Something is wrong with him."

"Obviously." I muttered, pushing back the short blond strands that clung to his damp forehead.

Iris paused, then reached for his eyes, pulling up the lid. In a matter of seconds her skin become just as pale as Stark's. She flinched back and stood up.

"What is it?" Jazz demanded.

Iris kept murmuring to herself- something about the impossibilities. I took a chance and glanced at Stark's eyes after pulling his eyelids back. A lump formed in my parched throat.

"His eyes. They're red." I whispered.

Iris slammed her fist against one of the seats. "Just like a vampire's."

Everyone sucked in a breath, the plane airtight with tension.

Lorena released a slow shudder. "If he's a vampire, then we have to isolate him."

Alric nodded, pain in his eyes. "Castor and I will hold onto him."

"Are you sure that he's a vampire?" my voice was barely audible.

"There's only one way to find out." Draver swallowed before crouching down. His nail shifted into that of a wolf's claws. Very gently, he ran the claw down Stark's forearm.

My stomach twisted when the blood that raised to the surface was a lilac.

"Oh no." my chest felt tight. "He can't be a vampire."

"He's a hybrid. Just like Mikhail." We all looked back at the sound of Kendra's voice. "I'm surprised he's lasted this long. My sister and Erebus must've turned him into a vampire while they placed the curse to wipe his memories."

I found it hard to breathe. "It's my fault. He killed a girl and was going to drink her blood, back when he kidnapped me. I emptied all the pints of her blood that he collected."

"It also explains how uncomfortable he gets when we speak of Erebus like he's the scum beneath our shoes." Castor's brows furrowed.

How did I not realize any of this?

With the help of Alric, I managed to lift Stark up, supporting him by his arms over our shoulders.

"I think we should just keep him in the bathroom." Alric murmured as we shuffled to the nearest stall.

Kendra appeared in front of the stall.

I opened my mouth to explain but she cut me off. "I know. Vampire. My sister is half vampire too, remember? I hope you plan on giving him blood."

Alric paled. "What? Does he need it? Like, now?"

Kendra snorted. "Calm down, I'm not asking you to be part of the whole fang rape thing-"

"Oh so you're asking me to be the one!?" I hissed, unintentionally shoving Stark into the bathroom before Alric closed it. "Newsflash; he's my mate, not my Eric Northman. And I'm not gonna be his blood flavored Caprisun."

"Well no one on this plane can provide blood, Katya." Kendra stated with an underlying harsh tone. "Just how ancient vampire blood is toxic to werewolves, Lycan blood is toxic to newborn vampires."

"But Alric was bitten by a vampire back when we were at my old pack." I defended. "Don't make up shit just to have me give up my blood-"

"Actually, the vampire was an ancient." Alric piped up.

I scowled, my anger overshadowing my nervousness. "Fine, whatever. How much blood does he need?"

Iris cleared her throat. "A pint...or two."

I nearly laughed. "A pint? Or two? Do you want this war to be over before it's begun? I'll be weak if that much blood is taken."

Lorena set a hand on her hip."Don't worry, you have a couple of hours. Spread the amounts over time and you won't be ill. Plus, Stark will be able to regulate your blood flow once he's better with his affinity. Don't ve scared, we won't let you die."

I shook my head and rolled up the sleeves of my blue and white checkered flannel before I opened the door to the bathroom. "Screw you."

"Hey." The door shut behind me.

Stark was crumpled on the floor in an uncomfortable position. I raised him to his feet, his paralyzed body under my command. I propped him, pushing him back until he sat in the sink. I had to keep a hold of the collar of his shirt to stop him from leaning forward and following over.

"Stark?" I slapped his cheek a few times. "Come on,"

He didn't respond.

I growled in frustration.

I'm starting to remember why I didn't like Lycans.

I shifted only my nails so that they were claws before gliding them horizontally across my wrist. It was weird, hand feeding (wrist feeding?) my mate my blood. It wasnt euphoric and I didn't feel like I was getting fang raped. Color returned to his complexion ever so slowly and instead of my rubbing my wrist all over his pale lips, I now felt his tongue flicker out to catch the thick red liquid- much like a cat drinking milk.

"What...what are you..." Stark's voice was raspy and unused, like he'd been left in the desert for years.

"I'm not a fairy who has a constant supply of magical blood so kindly stop."

I pulled my wrist away but Stark snatched it back, licking at the stray drops.

I think he could feel my glaring eyes on his when he glanced up slowly. "Sorry. There was some left."

I opened the bathroom door to see Kyo and Felix.

"Perfect. Can you make sure he stays here? Call me every 10 minutes to give him blood- yes he's a vampire. Don't ask. I'm already starting to feel dizzy."

An arm looped around my waist and suported me when I stumbled.

"Jeez, the least you could do is close that wound of yours." Kristos' dazzling smile hit me.

A few minutes later and I was back at the last cabin with Kristos trying to wrap my wrist in a bandage.

"I'm telling you there's no need for that, Stark's getting blood from there in like 6 minutes, it's pointless."

He shook his head. "If you want this to go by quicker, let him use your neck. The blood pumps faster there."

I sighed, this time ceaskng my struggle so he could bandage my wrist.

"Where are the others?"

"Trying to calm everyone." He slathered a cooling slave on the angry red lines. "The other Lycans found out Stark was a vampire."

I grimaced. "We weren't exactly keeping it a secret..."

"But you didn't announce it." Kristos pointed it out as he removed the bandages from the first aid kit. "After all, rumours like that cause chaos. And chaos on a plane is not good."

"I'm just glad I'm not handcuffed this time." I muttered under my breath.

Kristos gave me a questioning look befkre I waved him off. "It's just some stuff. Forget I said anything. I should be getting back to my new Eric Northman now."

The plane jerked down and the seat belt sign flashed.

Oh no. Please tell me this is not happening.

From somewhere in the plane I heard Iris screech.

"CASTOR, I SWEAR TO THE MOON GODDESS HERSELF IF YOU END UP KNOCKING OUT THE LAST ANOSOVA BROTHER I WILL SKIN YOU ALIVE AND TOSS YOU IN A BATH TUB FULL OF SALT."
