Hey guys! So I know I have been inactive for a while so I'm trying to update as much as I can.

I don't own any of these characters.

Cinder's POV

It's been eight years since I moved in to my home and a lot had happened.

Firstly Linh Garren got into a car accident and passed away, not long after I moved in actually.

Adri blamed me for the loss of her husband.

Secondly, I studied a lot on mechanisms and eingenearing well because it interested me and I was good at it.

I had been able to fix anything device and had been getting better.

With the only person in this family with a job gone, I was forced to work at an early age as a mechanic which made it impossible for me to get a proper education in school. I usualy went online and learnt most of my things.

However, Adri finally decided I can go to highschool, even though it's the middle of the school year.

Our neighbour, Iko, became my bestfriend, other than Peony.

I was currently sitting in our store cleaning up my greasy tools when I heard a familiar sound from the window.

They park across my shop had a bunch of kids playing tag. I sit and stare at the kids wondering what it must be like to be able to do what they want.

I started to doze off after my long day but was snapped out of it the momment another familiar sound appeared.

"Cinder!" It was Iko.

"Oh hey Iko!" I yawned and rubbed my eyes.

"Wow you look so alive." She said sarcastically.

"Ha. Ha. Its been a long day," I replied.

"Anyway I hear you're going to attend Luna High? That's fantabulous!" She squealed.

"Uh- oh yeah that." I yawned.

"So? When are you starting?"

"I'm pretty sure its this week." I said.

"Okay more importantly, what are you wearing?" She grinned.

"Oh me? Well I was thinking of this gown I saw in the mall which is super sparkely!" Sounding over enthusiastic so she would know I was being sarcastic.

Iko rolled her eyes.

"Fine. I have this new jacket that Peony got for me. So I'm probably going to wear that with one of my band shirts?" I questioned the shirt part.

I love listening to different kinds of music and I have a few band shirts. My current favourite one is this black shirt with My Chemical Romance's three cheers for sweet revenge album cover on it.

"Okay okay but what about shoes?" She asked.

"Sneakers." I state.

"Okay you need more clothes and shoes. " she said as I rolled my eyes.

"It's time to close the shop. Could you help my sort my things in the back room." I asked.

"Okay." She left and I went under my table to pick up my tool box.

All of a sudden, something hard hit my head.

I pull away from they table and see a guy standing infront of me.

"I'm looking for Linh Cinder. Is he here?" He asked.

"I-I'm Linh Cinder. And who are you?" I asked.

"You don't know who I am?" He asked.

I shook my head.

He smiled. "I'm-"

"Kai! Oh my gosh Cinder!!!!! It's Prince Kai from the Eastern Commonwealth.

Kai? Kai! Oh now I remember.

"Oh you're the guys Iko and Peony cant stop talking about." I said.

"Cinder!" I laughed.

"I guess so?" He looked confused.

"How can I help you?" I asked.

"Well my phone seems to have some problem and I need it fixed." He said.

"Why not just get another phone?" I asked.

"Because my dad told me that this is the last phone he's getting for me."

"Okay I'll see what I can do. Come back tomorrow." I said.

"Okay." He said as he left the shop.

I immediately started on his phone.

I know its a short chappie but at least its done XD
