October 31

It was Halloween!  One of Camille's favourite holiday's as she loved getting dressed up and having parties.  When she was younger she would go with her friends or parents and trick or treat or she would be allowed to have parties at their home.

They were in the Great Hall eating their meal when their owls came through with parcels and Camille noticed their family owl - Antoinette.  She was a beautiful Eagle Owl which was brown in colour with dark brown markings across her body.  Camille's eyes lit up as she dropped the parcel, which meant it was from home!  Only her friends and a few others from their school received a parcel.  The Great Hall was enchanted with the night sky and jack-o-lanterns floating in the ceiling.

"What did you get?" Her best friend, Susan asked her after she opened her parcel.

"I got loads of treats from the sweet shop my mum works at," she said her eyes full of excitement.  "And a card from my parents wishing me a happy halloween.  What did you get?"

"I got halloween candy," she smiled.  "And a card from my parents and little sister."

"D'you miss them yet?"

"Is it bad if I say no?" Susan asked laughing slightly as she brought a hand up to hide her laughter.  "Do you?"

"No, it's not.  I think it means we are having too much fun.  It's too soon to tell for me."

"You know that Weasley boy hasn't stopped glancing over here since you introduced yourself to him," Susan pointed out talking about George.

"Really?" She asked wanting to not make it obvious as she glanced at his table in the corner of her eye.  Fred nudged his twin brother's shoulder as George nodded his head at the blonde and they kept on joking with each other.  "Well, what I'm most excited about is the Tournament."

"Me too," Susan agreed with a smile.

Later that night

They were all gathered in front of the Goblet of Fire after Cedric put his name in, they heard cheering from the entrance and Camille noticed that it was two boys who looked alike that she assumed were twins.  Everyone was cheering for them even though they probably had no clue what was going on.

Camille assumed that they probably liked to cause loads of mischief.

"What d'you think is going on over there?" Camille asked Fleur as they all looked at the commotion.

"No idea," Fleur said with a huff.  "Whatever it is though, it isn't good."

"It's not going to work," Hermione said in a sing song voice and the twins got on both sides of her.

"Oh yeah?  And why's that, Granger?" George asked.

"You see this?" Hermione said.  "It's an age line. Dumbledore drew it himself."

"So?"

"So," Hermione said with a huff as the twins weren't getting it.  "A genius like Dumbledore couldn't possibly be fooled by something as pathetic and dimwitted as an aging potion."

"Yeah, but that's why it's so brilliant," Fred exclaims.

"'Cause he's so pathetically dimwitted," George said and the twins got up and laughed.  "Ready, Fred?" George asked his twin.

"Ready, George?" Fred asked.  "Ready, Lee?"

"Ready," Lee said with a smirk.

"Bottoms up," the trio said at the same time as they chugged the potion.

When Camille saw them drink the potion she was slightly intrigued.  Wondering if they would get in trouble or if it would actually work.  If they had done anything of the sort they would have possibly been expelled at Beauxbatons.  The three of them jumped over the line and everyone cheered thinking it worked, they put their names in the Goblet of Fire and everyone cheered around them.

"Did they actually make it over?" Camille asked with disbelief.

"I doubt it," Fleur shrugged her shoulders.  "The spell that Professor Dumbledore did is strong.  It's supposed to work against any kind of magic that the students use.  Remember what Professor Dumbledore said?"

Just as she had said that, their magic backfired and the pieces of parchment with their names on it poofed back out making Camille giggle but also feel sorry for the boys.  Instead of their hair being ginger it was now grey and they had matching grey beards.

"Hey," George cried as he looked at his appearance and slammed into his brothers shoulder and they started fighting a bit and the crowd cheered them on.

Camille let out a small laugh as Fleur looked at them with disdain.  The crowd silenced as Viktor Krum came in and put his name in the Goblet of Fire.

The Beauxbatons as well as the Durmstrang schools were given their schedules for where they would be sleeping and what classes they would be taking.  They weren't sorted into houses as they weren't part of the Hogwarts school but Camille loved it nonetheless.

"It was a nice try you know," Camille told one of the Weasley twins as they were walking to class.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Fred said with an amused smile and winked at the French girl making her laugh as he tried to be inconspicuous.  "I'm Fred, by the way.  Obviously I'm the fun twin.  If you stick with Georgie and I we can show you fun."

"Do I look like I need fun?" She asked with a strong French accent as she held onto her books and notebook to write on.

"Everyone needs fun, so of course you do," he said with a grin.

"All right," she nodded her head in confirmation.  "I will."

"Friends?" He asked as he put his hand out for her to shake but she was smart and knew that in the palm of his hand he probably had one of his little gadgets.

"Okay, friends, but I'm not going to shake your hand.  You probably have one of your inventions in your hand.  Am I right?" She asked raising an eyebrow and smirked when she saw the look on his face.

"How the bloody hell did you know that?" Fred asked.

"I'm smart.  That's how."

"You know," Fred caught up with her as she began walking.  "I think we'll become great friends."

Camille was sixteen turning seventeen this year, but she was smart.  At Beauxbatons she would get O's, E's and A's on all of her assignments and her O.W.L's.  Camille chose to take Apparition lessons which she had to pay extra for but she didn't mind.  She was also taking Alchemy, Charms, Herbology, Potions, Transfiguration, Astronomy and Earth Magic.

"How different are the classes here then at Beauxbatons?" George asked Camille.

"Well, there are some similarities after it being my first day of classes here.  We both learn about magic.  The only major difference is besides the core wizarding classes we 'ave to in third year choose a concentration between culinary arts, humanities like literary arts, performance arts and studio arts."

"Which one did you choose?" Fred asked.

"I chose the culinary arts because back home my maman works at a bakery and she makes all these sweet treats that I love.  So I wanted to learn how to make them as well."

"Wicked," the twins exclaimed and nodded their head at approval.

"Did you have houses in Beauxbatons like we do in Hogwarts?" Fred asked.

For the year, Dumbledore asked the Hogwarts students to make friends with the students from the other schools.  To learn about their culture and what they like to do.  To show them around and help them especially given how big Hogwarts was.  It was big enough to get any first year student lost.

"Oui, we did.  Instead of Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin we 'ave Bellefeuille.  The colours are soft green and white and the house symbol is a leaf.  It's like Gryffindor where the brave and loyal are put in this house.  They are sensitive as well, are hard workers and are characteristically book-smart.  What is different though in this house those who are placed in it feel a strong connection to nature and are caring to animals.  Next, we 'ave Papillionlisse.  The house colours are purple and blue with the house symbol being a butterfly because papillion in french means butterfly.  Those who are placed in this house love arts both visual and musical.  They are very social and are sophisticated..."

She then went onto explain the last house- Ombrelune.  The colours are grey and navy with the moon being the house symbol.  They can be manipulative and cunning much like the Slytherins are.

"You only have three houses?" The twins asked with wide eyes and she nodded her head.

"Oui.  Can you guess which one I was in?"

"Obviously not the last one," George said unsure of how to pronounce the names of the houses.  "I'm going to say the first one.  What do you say, Fred?"

"Obviously the first one.  She doesn't seem like someone who likes the arts much less someone who likes nature.  Are we right?"

"You are," she laughed.  "How'd you guess that?  You've only known me less than a day."

"We can be smart too," George defended them making her laugh.  "We've been wanting to know this - are you a Veela?"

"No, I'm not," Camille shook her head.  "Fleur is a quarter-Veela but I am only a witch.  Not everyone who attends Beauxbatons is a Veela, you know," she said with her thick French accent.

"We'll have to tell our sister Ginny," George said.

"Yeah, she thought you were a Veela.  But we said you weren't," Fred said.

"So, tell me about your inventions," Camille said wanting to stop talking about the subject as the twins dived into talking about them.  Camille could easily see how passionate they were.

"How about we show you some of them, aye?" George asked with a grin.

"Okay," Camille said as she swallowed thickly, kind of nervous for what she was about to see.

The twins had taken her to their common room and pulled down their small trunk full of their inventions.  Fred popped open the trunk and Camille's eyes lit up with wonder.

"What am I looking at?" She asked the twins and they began pulling out their inventions making her laugh.

"Welcome to Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes!  This is an extendable ear," Fred said as if he were trying to sell it to her.  "It allows you to listen in on conversations that we aren't allowed to."

"So basically to snoop?"

"Precisely," Fred said with a nod of his head.  "We used them all summer long but only recently had to stop as our mum found out and went berserk.  How else are we going to get information?"

"That is very true," Camille agreed with the twins as she took the piece of string in her hands and looked at it.  "It looks so real."

"That's the whole point," George said.

"Does it work?"

"'Course it does," Fred said pretending to be offended and Camille apologised as she didn't mean to be rude.

"This is what I had in my hand earlier," Fred said pulling out the electric shock shake and handing it to her.

"You were going to use this on me?" She asked seeming to be offended, but was faking it.

"Freddie, I can't believe you would use it on our guest," George said as he slapped his twin brother's chest making him wince at the action.

"She caught me before I could," Fred said with a whine.  "Sorry," he apologised.

"It's all right," she smiled at the ginger twins.  "Have you two ever thought of selling this stuff?"

"What did you have in mind?" George asked as they both were intrigued as he leaned forward and put his elbow on his knee and rested his hand in his chin.

I don't remember when Fred and George started selling their products if it was when Umbridge was a teacher at Hogwarts or not.  Either way hope you all enjoy this chapter!  Sorry for getting it up so late.
