It has been two months since Akio started his first year at the Ninja Academy.

Akio was currently dressed into a yellow and white shirt with his clan's usual black star symbol on the back of it, along with black and white shorts.

As a knock was heard on his bedroom door.,

"Akio, come eat your breakfast before Megumi comes to get you!"

"I coming, mother!" He called back, putting his math and history book back into his bag along with the notes he took when doing his homework last night.

After putting his books back into his bag, he headed on downstairs to eat his breakfast before Megumi came to pick him on up to walk him to school.

"Akio," His mother said as Akio started to walk out of the front door. "After school, your grandfather wants you to meet him in the clan training area back of the compound."

"Alright, but I better get going now," Akio said.

"Yes, I'll see you later, Akio," She said, holding the twins in her arm.

"I make sure he gets back home and to the training area in time, Lady Kaede," Megumi said with a bow.

"Yes, of course, you will."

"Young Akio, let's get going to school," Megumi said."You have your homework, right?" She asked.

"Yes," He replied.

"Then let go," Megumi said, walking away from the front door with Akio close to her side.

"Yes, Megumi," Akio said as he and Megumi started making their way to the Academy.

Akio walked into the classroom after saying goodbye to Megumi. When he stepped inside, he saw that he was early and that Sasuke was the only one there at the moment.

"Hey, you!" Sasuke suddenly called out, seeing Akio enter the room.

"Yes, Uchiha?" Akio asked, glancing at the Uchiha.

"Would you spar with me?" Sasuke asked.

"I don't know it quite early, and besides, why do you want to spar with me anyway?" Akio asked, looking at Sasuke curiously.

"Yeah, I guess your right, but the way you avoided Naruto's paper ball, even though you were caught off guard. I want to see how strong you are," Sasuke explained.

"I can understand that. I have to meet my grandfather after class, but maybe you can come over and join me in training with him," Akio said.

"How sure are you that he be okay with that?" Sasuke asked.

"I don't think he would mind if it is going to help with my training as the next clan leader," Akio commented before he continued up the stairs and said in the back corner as usual.

As time passes, more and more students enter the class filling up the room.

"Good morning, class," Iruka greeted as he walked into the class, holding a stack of papers on his clipboard."Before we begin class, I like to announce that we have a new addition to the class!"

"Huh?" Most of the class questioned, while Akio just looked at the door in silence as Iruka told the student to come on in.

The door on opened as a seven-year-old girl with slightly pale skin and silky long white hair, and red eyes walked into the classroom. She had rounded, fluffy white ears on her head and a matching tail. She was also wearing a brown kimono and black shorts.

'That girl looks interesting. I wonder where she is from.' Akio thought, taking in the new girl's appearance.

"Introduce yourself, please," Iruka said, looking at the girl who walked into the classroom.

"My name is Mai Haiena, and my family was originally from the Land of Woods until we moved here late last night," The girl replied in a soft voice looking out the window and finding it more interesting.

"Ant questions for Mai?" Iruka asked.

The first person to raise their hand was that Ami girl, that was part of that group of girls Akio saw picking on Sakura when he first met her.

"Yes, Ami, what is your question?" Iruka asked.

"What is with the creepy red eyes and fluffy ears like some kind of animal," Ami mocked.

"Ami, stop it with the bullying now!" Iruka commanded.

"No, it's okay," Mai said, looking at Ami with a smile."My eyes are red because of a medical condition I was born with. In contrast, most of my family has brown or greenish-yellow. And everyone in my family has fluffy ears."

"Alright, any more questions?"

The next person to ask a question was a girl that Akio couldn't remember the name of, just that she was a girl who asked her on a date once.

"Who do you think is the most attractive guy here?" She asked.

"Um, I don't know since I just moved here," Mai said, confused.

A few more people continued to ask her questions until Iruka decided enough was enough.

"Mai, take a seat next to Akio over in the back," Iruka said, pointing at Akio, who kindly nodded back.

Once Mai sat down next to Akio, Iruka focused his attention back on the class."Alright, today we're going to start the day off with a history assignment with partners. However, since we have an odd number, someone is in a group of three."

Iruka then started to announce the partners."Naruto and Kiba are partners. Next, Sasuke and Ami. Hinata and Shino," He announced and continued to list the partnership until reaching the end."Lastly, Akio, Mai, and Sakura."

"Ah," Many of Akio's and Sasuke's fangirls groaned, not being part of him.

Sakura looked surprised, not expecting to be a partner with Akio.

'I can't believe that he is my partner. I haven't talked to him since he defended me.'Sakura thought, looking over at Akio, who smiled at her.

"Everyone sit with your partner or partners!"

Sakura stood up and made her way over to the other empty seat next to Akio and Mai as Iruka began to pass out the assignments.

"Now that everyone has a sheet of paper, I'm going to ask you questions, and you will work as a team to answer. One of you will be in charge of writing," Iruka explained.

"Yes, Iruka-sensei," The class said, ready to begin.

About an hour later, the partnership activity ended, and the partners with the top scores were Akio, Sakura, and Mai in first place and Sasuke and Ami in second.

"The girls will now leave for Suzume's female ninja class, and the boys will be staying here learning about the different types of weapons," Iruka said, dismissing the girls.

"Have fun, you two, and excellent job with the activity we ended up in first," Akio congratulated his partners.

"I'm just glad I was able to help bring new," Mai said.

"No problem," Sakura said quietly as she started to walk out of the classroom with the rest of the girls as a lady came to get them for her class.

Akio then turned his attention to the front as Iruka began to talk about the different types of weapons.

A few hours later...

The class was dismissed as the bell rang, signaling the end of the day.

'Wow, what day with fast.' Akio thought, not realizing how fast today felt like the class had just started.

He stood up and started walking out with Sasuke following him. He almost forgot that he was going to see if it be okay for him to join in their training.

When he arrived outside where Megumi was, he asked her if Sauske could join him for training.

"Well, I'm sure that be alright, but we should let his family know first," Megumi said.

"Alright," Akio said.

After stopping at the Uchiha's and getting the okay from Fugaku for Sauske to train with Akio, they headed on to the Ōshiro's compounded.

Akio and Sasuke spend hours of training with taijutsu training with Akio winning the matches twice. At the same time, Sauske was taking a break before another match. Akio was made to work on his Yin Release and some basic Kusarigamajustu.

Finally, after another two hours of training, his grandfather made him and Sauske dinner before having Megumi walk him back home for the night.

Now Akio was at home getting ready for bed after a long training session.

Chapter Ended

The third chapter, Luminous Blossom, has been published. A new student joins the class, and they do a partner activity as well as Akio and Sasuke do some training together. However, that relationship due to change after the massacre. I hope you enjoy the chapter. Let me know what you think in the comments.

Also, I haven't figured out Mai's role in the story, but she might be Akio's teammate since I don't know yet if I will make him a fourth member of Team Seven.
