9| The Bell Bracelet And My Memories From When I Was 5
After Edmund, Zaia and their kids ate breakfast with us, they thanked us and left.
Right after they left, I was starting to feel a bit sad, lonely, and depressed.
I laid my head down on the kitchen table, as my ears were drooped back a little, while I stared at the bracelet I had on my wrist.
My bracelet is somewhat nothing special.
It's just a thick red ribbon with a bell attached to it.
I call it a "Bell Bracelet" because it's a bracelet that has a bell on it.
The "Bell Bracelet" that I wear is something important to me though.
My mother had it and worn it alot when she was still alive before she died when I was a Riolu.
And I always liked what the bell sounds like when it chimes.
It just sounds so nice and so pretty.
That's pretty much stated the reasons why I wear it.
It's been passed down to my family for generations.
The Bell Bracelet is probably 200 years old.
Yeah.
That's how old the Bell Bracelet probably is.
And Mom told me that the Bell Bracelet will be passed on to me if she dies or if anything bad happens to her.
I fulfilled her request after that day.
After Mom and Dad were killed and winded up dead, I took the Bell Bracelet off of Mom's wrist and putted it on me.
Surprisingly, it fitted me perfectly and very comfortably well.
As I continued to stare at the bell, thinking about Mom, I heard Yachio come in the kitchen and sit down next to me as I felt him rest his paw on my shoulder before he started to rub my back soothingly.
I smiled a little and sighed as Yachio kept rubbing my back soothingly.
Another thing me and Yachio enjoy that we have in common...
Back rubs.
It makes me feel so relaxed and happy...I was enjoying every minute of it.
I looked over at Yachio and then kissed him on the lips before parting from him.
"You okay?" Yachio asked as he rested his forehead on mine.
I shook my head a little bit as I looked at Yachio sadly.
"What's wrong?" Yachio asked as he looked at me.
I buried my face in Yachio's chest as I relaxed a little.
"It's just.....I really miss my mother and my father..." I sigh.
Yachio pulled me close as he nodded before he ran his paw through my hair.
"I miss my parents too, Lukari...But, we all know that we have to grow up and move on like our parents want us to do since we're adults now. We can't stay in the past forever...Even when we can't change it." Yachio said before kissing me on the forehead.
I nod in agreement.
"Yachio...Do you remember the Bell Bracelet and the locket that you and I are still wearing right now?" I asked.
Yachio nodded his head.
"Those were the only two things I managed to get before Mom and Dad died..." I explained before I took the locket off of Yachio and opened it, revealing a picture of me and my sister (when we were younger), with my mother and father on the right side of the locket.
We were all standing in the picture like as if we were going to have a family photo together...Mom and Dad were standing behind me and my elder sister.
Mom standing on the left with her paw resting on my left shoulder and Dad standing on the right, resting his paw on my elder sister's right shoulder.
The picture of my family with Yachio was on the left.
We were all in the same pose like the picture on the right.
All standing still, Yachio standing on the right while resting his paw on Lucas' right shoulder and me standing on the left, holding my daughter in my arms.
That's the only difference between me and my mom in the pictures.
Lucas was 13 and Luka was only 2 years old in the picture. Me and Yachio were 22 at that time.
