I feel a tapping on my shoulder.

I roll over to see my beautiful kids in their swim suits.

Lacey's little stomach sticks out of her rainbow swim suit and she's holding a cover up.

Hunter smiles at me, kissing my cheek. He's in black shorts with roses printed on them. He wanted flowers on his suit, but he couldn't wear a bikini.

I was going to say yes, but Lucky laughed and showed him those.

He has a bright pink shirt on that says, "Pink can be a boys color, too."

"Good morning, kiddos."

"Good morning, Dada!" They smile and laugh.

"Where are we going today?" They already know, but playing dumb won't hurt.

"The beach!"

I start to say, "No, the wat-" but I stop myself and smile.

"Yes, the beach."

Joey walks in with a pair of bright ass neon orange swim shorts and smiles at me.

He throws my shorts at me, which of course are bright ass pink.

Lucky dared me to wear them to a bar once.

Holy Hell, shit went down.

Everyone laughed and laughed, but someone screamed,"WHOS THE GAY HIPPIE?!"

I leaned over, kissed Lucky and said, "Stop me if I start bleeding."

And she did. The shit was new to the bar.

Joey leads the kids out and I put my shorts on, then smile.

I pat the bed gently and say, "Come to the beach with us, (Y/N). I know how much you love it there."

I grab a bag and walk out of my room, closing the door.

Joey is in the kitchen, throwing soda, water and snacks into a huge cooler.

Hunter and Lacey are trying to tackle Ginger and Edgar to get on their harness.

(Ginger is a huge black and white husky, one blue eye, one brown.)

(Edgar is a little tan pug, if you don't know what a pug looks like... oh well.)

I laugh and help the kids out, then help Joey load the cooler into the truck.

I load Hunter into his seat and Joey has Lacey.

We put a towel down in the back of the truck so the dogs don't burn their paws off, and tie their leashes to the tail gate.

"Ready to go?" I ask and both of the kids cheer.

I call Ki and Mark, telling them to meet up with us.

"This is gonna be fun!" Lacey laughs.

"Lace, you've never been to the beach." I laugh.

"So!" Hunter and Lacey claim at the same time.

"You're right, baby. This is going to be fun."
