Choices Determine Your Fate

Guys! Just finished my Everyone Falls... well, sorta. I'm going to probably rewrite a lot of parts to make it better fit the quality of all of the rest of the chapters I've made. This all in an effort to place good in the Pokémon Wattys. Hehe, I've already entered that One Shot, which I thought was pretty good! *Insert Lenny Face*

Also, if you haven't already... You will be SOO impressed by the book I'm currently working on. I can guarantee you've never seen this sorta thing in a pokemon fanfiction... https://www.wattpad.com/myworks/88631845/write/430849918 There's the full link to the PREIVIEW/WHAT IT'S GOING TO BE LIKE. I recommend to go read over that, but here's a brief summary.

"There are 24 different endings that you can stumble across, but only ONE successful. What Will You Do? Which path will you go down..." Yeah, that was probably weird... just go check out the link to actually understand the full hype behind this. Anyways, enjoy this chapter!

Blaze held his head, the machines starting to take their toll on him. The torment, torture... why him? What had he done? He'd given them all the answers they wanted, told them all that they needed to know, but it all seemed to be biting him in the butt now. Each and every passing second, the more and more he slipped in and out of his mind.

"Give in... let us help you..." The emphasis the pokemon put on help was enough to drive Blaze even more insane. The complex, evil contraption they had his cell connected to was blazing. It was beeping, swirling, the machine in a high gear. It was harder and harder for Blaze to hold on, trying his best to fight this corruption. But eventually... he lost. He fell to his knees, howling out and almost digging his claws into his skulls. His body sparked, and he yelped louder, collapsing to the ground after the sparks died down. "He's perfect... We're done..." Epilson sat in front of the mess, a bag of popcorn in front of her as a way of torment.

"Arise... Project Flare..." Blaze's eyes glowed, and he rose at the very command. An orange aura surrounded him, and he gave off a menacing stare. He had been transformed, transformed into a project. He was now truly one of them, or at least it seemed. Epilson grinned, putting her claws together and walking to the cell.

"Don't tell me you can't get out of this?" Blaze's energy rose, his eyes glowing a threatening red. In an instant, the bars slowly began to melt away. They disintegrated, evaporated. Epilson clapped a bit, the devious smirk all over her face. "That's what I thought..." Blaze didn't say a word, his old self completely lost.

                                               /////////////////////////////////////////////////

"Looks like you do have a brain after all..." Jester gave a devious smirk to Claire, and she growled through the confined glass. "A deal's a deal..." Jester sighed dramatically.

"You just look so cute... Perhaps we could hang out, you know after Team Rocket takes over..." Claire knew nothing of the situation with her friend, and at this moment she was stuck suffering from her own lie. Perhaps she and Blaze wouldn't even be here if she'd of just told the truth about Flance... maybe then she wouldn't have to endure this torment from this cocky, evil Absol.

"You know what... I'd love too... over your dead corpse!" Jester laughed to himself and Claire gritted her teeth. "You know... I thought Absol's were supposed to be mostly peaceful. Gee..." Jester laughed to himself again, purposely making it dramatic.

"Ger... Oh you just wait! When I get out of here! I'm Gonn-" Jester interrupted her, a confident grin on his face. "You're gonna what... kill me? Torture me to death... You see, that really hurts me deeply. I was hoping for something more like... mating with me? I mean, you're one of a kind, I must say." Claire didn't know exactly how to respond to a question, a flustered expression on her face. Jester only turned his head a bit, a cocky grin on his face.

"Gee... Guess I'm moving too fast, eh? Don't worry... now since I have all the information I need, thanks to you, you sweet little thing," He smiled, winking to her, keeping the torment coming. "Like I was saying... thanks to you, we've won!" He went up to the glass, face to face with Claire.

"But don't worry... I won't hurt ya! I mean... because of me, you're still alive. You know... the offer still stands!" Claire gave off a disgusted, pure hatred filled face. "You... disgust me..." Jester shrugged, backing away.

"Gee... how rude! See you soon!" He was kind enough to leave the dim light on, walking out of the door completely. As soon as he was gone, Claire gave off a deep breath. She was not weak, she was actually quite strong. How could she of allowed herself to be captured, why couldn't she just simply defend herself? She looked at the walls around her, the one door that was to her confined room.

"When I get out of here..." She gritted her teeth, drawing a bit of blood before she finally decided to ease up. "This corporation isn't going to like it..."

Another figure emerged from the dark shadow to the corner of the room. At first she was shocked, backing all the way to the corner of her cage-like area. The pokemon only walked further up, walking just into the light of the room. Claire's expression dropped, her eyes widening.

"Good thing that you're never getting out of here then, right Claire?" Claire growled, Flance having a crooked smile to his face. His eyes were a dark red, a quite frightening sight to see. Claire gritted her teeth.

"How much do you wanna bet? Aeru, Kara, Lucian... they're probably already coming for you! All of you!" Flance only smiled. "Let them come... just what we want!" Claire lashed out, the glass knocking her back. She couldn't believe Flance was here... right in front of her. "You know Claire? I've always liked you... much more than those other rats. You've always stuck out... perhaps you'd of been a better choice than that Blaze," Claire's eyes widened at the mention of Blaze, and she gritted her teeth harder.

"Flance! What happened to you... what'd you do to him!" She said it in a harsh growl, not letting any weakness show through her. Flance only grinned a sadistic smile. "You don't know who you're dealing with! Perhaps you'd be better off if you just listened and followed along! You know, retaliation is an unwise move!" He threw the threat out like a bucket of nails, screwing it tightly into Claire's resilient mind. Claire was tough, not having any of this.

"So why are you here! Come to just torment me... at least that Jester had an actual purpose!" Flance extended his blades dangerously. "I've already had it up to here with you!" He put the blade against his neck, his expression angry.

Claire stepped back a bit, her vulnerability the thing that was making her nervous. Flance stepped up. "Come on, please! Say something else smart..." Claire gnitted her teeth, this time remaining quiet. It didn't seem he wanted any information, no. He seriously seemed like he just wanted to torment her, get under her skin. Flance then eased up a bit after hearing her silence.

"That's what I thought..." He looked Claire directly in the eyes, a threatening glare across his eyes. "I hate you..." Claire said it softly, pure hatred drizzling from her mouth. Flance growled, slamming the door shut behind him.

"Anybody else in the corner!?" Claire yelled at the weird, bizarre darkness tainted to the edge of the room. This time, no sounds were heard. Claire went down softly, trying to forget that she was trapped, stuck in this prison like facility.

                                                        //////////////////////////////////////////////

"Alpha! You here?" Aeru, Lucian and Whiis walked out of the guild, already in front of a new place. This wasn't the guild... or a forest... but something so much greater. This was the Sanctuary, a place that even now was looking great. The Sanctuary was like the guild, except it was much less work-force like. Here, there were entertainment places, businesses, a large variety of pokemon, and most importantly, Aeru's home.

They had already told 'Alpha' to meet them in front of the entrance, and it seemed that he must of been running late. Soon however, the male Umbreon showed up. "Ah, hello there!" Aeru ran up to him, Lucian and Whiis in awe of this 'Sanctuary'.

"You're never late... for a second there, I thought you'd forgotten!" Aeru and him laughed a bit. At the second the two stopped, an Espeon made her appearance next to them. "Aeru... Oh, and his friends..." She curiously walked past the two, and made her way to Whiis and Lucian.

She right away noticed the badge against their uniforms, and she sighed a bit. "So that's where Aeru's been... the guild? You know, we've all sorta missed him here... us and the gang?" She was seemingly talking to herself, Whiis and Lucian now heavily confused.

"What do you mean you've missed him here? Has he been here before?" The Espeon nodded. "Well... this may seem weird, but let me introduce myself!" Alpha stopped and joined her at her side. "This is my cocky, overprotective brother... Luna!" Luna sighed, rolling his eyes a bit. Lucian was now even more confused.

"But I thought he was... Alpha?" The Espeon shook her head. "No no no... that's what everyone calls him though. My name is Sera..." She bowed gracefully, and Whiis and Lucian half nodded.

"Okay... so uh... what are we doing here?" Whiis and Lucian both asked at the same time, both heavily confused. Aeru joined them, sighing. "Where's everyone at... we need to form the old team again!" Whiis and Lucian sighed, opting to just go along with it all.

"Well... Winston is still probably pulling stars out of him... hehe! And err... the others, except for Jane, who just recently left to go to Kantos, should be here shortly... or else..." She grinned to herself, and Whiis and Lucian gave her a hesitant look.

Aeru lit up just at that second. "Wait... Where's Kara! Seriously, where is she!" His eyes lit up with excitement. Surely she must be somewhere nearby. For she had to see this place... this was after all made by the Ralts evolution line.

"Um... When have you been so interested in where she is?" Lucian tilted her head a bit, and Luna tilted his head. "Who is this... Kara?" He had slightly remembered that name, but he was still deeply confused.

"Oh... Kara is my friend! Gardevoir... um, er... just met her a week or so ago... yeah!?" He replied rather awkwardly, scratching his head in a goofy sort of tone. It was all he could really say, all that he really had time for. Luna nodded.

"Oh..." That was all he said, turning to the other three. "Look... We have a mission! This could be highly dangerous... so no going easy! You give it your 100 percent all, nothing short! Understood?!" Lucian sorta blinked, the leadership being shifted to Luna. Sera rolled her eyes.

"Gee... I can handle my own, you know!" Sera retaliated a bit, and Luna stepped up. "I'm trying to protect you, everyone!" Sera exhaled loudly, stopping at that. Aeru held his head a bit, an instant heat wave coursing through his body. "I-Is... Is it just me, or is it getting hot in he-" Aeru fell to his knees, knocked out cold.

"What! Gah, Aeru!" Sera ran up to him, putting her tail against his pulse. "What... What happened!?" She could feel his pulse, it still beating normally.

Whiis stepped up, kneeling above Aeru. "He... Looks heated up. I... perhaps a fever?" Whiis was wise when it came to the medical type of field. Whiis tapped him a bit, Aeru inhaling loudly and jolting up. "GUYS!" Aeru blinked, looking around.

"No... No..." Sera gasped, and Luna growled a bit. "Aeru... what happened?" Luna stepped in front of him, his eyes glowing. Aeru was at first confused about the hostile type approach, but then he understood.

"It wasn't... I'm fine! He's all under control..." Lucian shook his head rapidly. "Who's under control!? What?" Whiis nodded along with Lucian, and Aeru stared blankly at them.

"Err... I-I don't know..." Aeru lied, and Lucian and Whiis growled and stepped up. "We're your friends too you know! You can't just leave us out!" Aeru backed away, standing up. He, however, fell back down, landing on his back and giving out a displeasured grown. Sera ran right back up to him, putting her tail around his arm.

"Here... Let's get you somewhere. Maybe Lisa could help you... she's been wanting to see you anyways." Sera helped him up, her tail helping to support him. Lucian's eyes widened a bit, and he put a hand over his mouth.

"What is it Lucian? Huh, please tell me something!" Whiis was a bit maddened, Lucian ignoring him and running in front of the two. "You're project Beta aren't you! Yes, you have to be!" He pushed Aeru down, his anger flaring.

"Ha, I knew it all along! All the talk about a Gallade, the failed project! That's you!" Lucian clenched his fists, Sera quickly stepping between the two. Aeru gritted his teeth, staring up at Lucian.

"YOU KILLED MY BROTHER! THIS WHOLE TIME YOU WERE HIDING IT!" He almost roared out, the newly discovered information striking him hard. After seeing the faze, the instant fever and passing out session, Lucian finally discovered the darker secret behind Aeru. Flance had always told him Aeru was him, but he denied it to a point where he seemingly forgot. But now, he was almost positive he was right.

"I... You're wrong!" Aeru knew that he was not indeed incorrect, but it was all he could think to say. Sera was upset herself, a desperate expression on her face. She hated fighting, hated killing and fights. "Stop it! Please!" She planted her paws down, looking up at Lucain and then down to Aeru. Lucian bit his lip hard, turning away from them.

"I... I don't care if you were in control or not! You lying, filthy, disgusting bit*h!" He walked, his fists clenched and his steps heavy. "I'm going to save my friends... with or without you guys!" Whiis sorta nodded, joining Lucian. Sure he wasn't supportive of the outburst, but he did feel like that was the best action now.

A deep, twisted voice rattled all them, turning them back to their senses really quick. "No... You're not..." Aeru's body stood up, one eye the same color as usual, the other a dark red. Luna immediately bit his teeth, his powers beginning to surge. Lucian's eyes widened, the aura slowly rising off of Aeru.

In an insane power wave, Aeru's body completely lost control, wind swirling up dust around them. Sera gasped, watching closely as Aeru slowly lost control over himself. "NO! FIGHT IT, PLEASE!" Luna looked at her, quickly running in front of her.

"Stop it Sera! Get out of here, NOW!" He almost demanded her, and she obediently nodded. She sprinted up to Lucian and Whiis. "Come on..." She urged them to follow her, and they each refused.

"Project Beta... I'll send him right back to the underworld!" Lucian made a blind charge into the smoke, striking his fist against Aeru. Aeru, now mainly Beta, caught it. "That wasn't a very smart move..." Beta's voice was twisted, demented like. Lucian growled, rising his leg up to connect a Low Kick to Beta. Beta flinched, his grip releasing from Lucian.

Lucian was in a mad haze, lashing and striking Beta with everything he had. After connecting a fist to his jaw, he sent his knee deep into the gut of the project. "YOU'LL DIE!" He was about to strike again with his fist, but again it was caught.

"Oh... Just like your brother..." Beta's expression was cold, and he slowly twisted Lucian's arm back. Lucian let out a pained groan, the smoke clearing. Beta kept twisting and twisting, Lucian literally being able to feel his arm snapping under the pressure.

"HEY AERU!" Beta turned, but was immediately met with Luna's sharp fangs. Luna kept biting down, his fangs digging deep into Beta's back. Beta's red eyes closed tightly, an angry growl shaking the land. Luna kept it up, his eyes glowing brightly.

"GAH! LET... LET... LE-" Beta's form slowly started blacking out, Luna keeping the pressure up. Beta was close, and with an increase in intensity from Luna, Beta's form glowed. "YOU FOOLS! I-I'LL BE BACK!" Beta let out another pained expression, his eyes turning colors once more. Luna immediately let go, Beta's form falling down, slowly hitting the ground.

Luna's eyes changed back to normal, his breath panting softly. "We... can't risk that again..." Sera, in a quick flash, was at Luna's side. This time, Whiis joined the two, kneeling down to Aeru. "Gah... what was that! What just happened... and who are you?" Whiis looked at Luna, and Luna casted an eyebrow to Whiis.

"That was Beta..." Lucian only clenched his fists tighter off in the distance, the last bit of his suspicions being confirmed. "And me... I'm one of his projects..." Whiis nodded his head a bit.

"One of his projects... Or from Team Rocket?" Whiis wondered how, how this Umbreon could have so much power. Although it was hard to sense for everyone else, anyone else even... He was special too. He sensed such a strong energy from Luna, and it was shocking to him. He sensed the same in Beta, too.

"No... You see, Aeru was first a project. After meeting us and all that, he gave me a segment of his powers, a sorta clone of his project abilities. He can do it to anyone... a thing that all projects can do..." Whiis was a bit taken back. How come he never told Lucian, him, Claire or Blaze about any of this. Why wouldn't he do it to them.

"So... He can do this to anybody? And just like that... no risks or anything?" Luna sorta shrugged. "Yeah... Pretty much. He just does it..." Whiis knew that there had to be a drawback, had to be something that made it not worth doing to everyone he loves.

"There has to be a catch..." Whiis kept questioning Luna, who had no clue himself in why Aeru didn't just simply do it to everyone. "I don't quite know myself... Why wouldn't he just do it to everyone he knew then?" Luna asked the same question, and Whiis chuckled lightly.

"I don't really care... I probably wouldn't anyways. I guess it was just a question..." Luna slightly had a tone to his face, getting the slight hint of pride in Whiis's tone.

"I accomplished a great power by myself... don't go thinking that to get strong all you have to do is become a segment..." Luna defended his own pride a bit, and Whiis smiled.

"I never said it was why you're strong... but I want my own strength, that's all." Luna nodded, understanding his point. "I respect that... But project powers are something you can never achieve on your own. You can only maximize your base powers so far..." This was something Luna had already done, the new powers sorta expanding his level bar a bit.

"It'd been nice if we, his friends, would've known about this! I mean, he never even told us about you guys, or this place." Sera, who was slightly feeling left out now, sparked. "Come on... I'll show you guys around! You and Lucian..." Lucian turned to face them, his anger having subsided slightly.

"I... refuse to see that monster again..." Sera shook her head swiftly. "No, No! Please... he can't control it! Aeru's done nothing wrong... please, follow me!" Lucian couldn't believe his ears. Had they not heard the backstory he had given. This whole time, Aeru was the one who was responsible for killing his little brother, the one this whole time who had been keeping this all a secret from them.

"Come on Lucian... A trip around won't do anything..." Whiis urged him on too, grabbing one of Aeru's shoulders. Aeru was still out cold, nobody really knowing for how long he would be unconscious. Sera wrapped her tail strongly around his other, the two successfully keeping him up.

Lucian was about to respond, but was unexpectedly interrupted. "I'm so sorry we were late..." A Machoke spoke out, his eyes widening when he looked at Sera. "Don't blame it on me... It was all Winston!" A Lopunny chuckled, Winston only scratching his head. Sera smiled a bit. "Yep, all Winston!" Another pokemon, this time Sceptile teased in. Winston sighed.

"I wouldn't of been so slow... if it weren't for the injury I was facing!" Sera laughed, along with the Lopunny. "Don't flirt with me then!" Winston huffed, him and the Sceptile knowing first hand the power in her Swift attack. Whiis only sighed further, more people who he didn't have a clue were. He could sense a great power in them all, like Aeru just had some sort of second group of friends.

                                          ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Claire had been alone now, herself losing track of the time since she's been there. She had far since ran out of ideas on how to possibly escape the confined glass, and she had accepted her fate here. Perhaps it'd be better to just go along with things until she figured out what this place was really about, and what had even happened to Blaze. She was still clueless, time just ticking by slowly.

The door creaked open, and she instantly looked up to the small door that secluded her even further. To her dismay, it was Jester again. She found a bit relief that it was him instead of Flance or someone like him. Jester didn't have a smirk on his face, just a normal expression. "Hello Claire..." Claire rolled her eyes, not feeling it at all. "Bye..." She let the snarky-ness in her tone pour out onto him.

Jester just sighed, a new found smile on his face. "Well, we're going to play this game again..." He looked up at her. "You're free to go..." Claire's eyes widened, and she found a bit of hope rise up through her. "W-Wait... What?" Jester smirked a bit.

"With me, of course! You see, lucky for you, You're in my control!" Claire wasn't smiling, laughing, any of it. The hope drizzled down, and she felt completely hopeless. "What am I... your prisoner?" Jester stopped laughing, looking at Claire.

"No... I mean, you don't have to look at it that way..." There was a slight seductive tone in his voice, and Claire herself blushed a bit at the sly message he was inducing. "Grr... As soon as I get out of here, you know I'll retaliate..." Jester shook his head.

"Okay... so I'll let you out, and you'll what, attack me? Just think about this a bit... You know you can't win, and it'll seriously do nothing for you. Your retaliation is useless for you... and it'll hurt you much more in the long end." Instantly the glass doors opened, and a new, fresh wave of oxygen swarmed around Claire.

"So come on... attack me..." Claire was still on the now opened platform, gritting her teeth tightly. He was right. Currently, she was allowed to actually have her powers, being allowed to have so much things. He was right, if she did try and retaliate, they could easily take away her powers, and leave her even more useless.

"Too scared... That's what I thought..." He looked at Claire, and she growled lowly. Slowly, she stepped down off the platform, with a lot of resistance walking slowly up to Jester. He watched, a smile written clearly on his muzzle as she slowly made her way to him.

Once standing directly next to him, Claire just noticed the differences between them. She had actually never seen a male Absol up close before. He was a bit taller, more buff overall than she was. His fur was a slight shade darker than hers, her fur being a sorta light shade of white. She found herself looking up to him even, his eyes a darker blue than hers and his lips holding a devious type look . Even his scent was different, more masculine and developed.

"You ready..." Claire sorta snapped out of her daze, the situation hitting her like a hammer atop the head. She was speechless, not knowing what to do. She so badly wanted to do something, something more than just going along with this all. But as she weighed in her consequences once more, she slightly nodded to him, her expression nervous even.

"You look... nervous..." He stopped, turning to completely face her. He had a sly grin on his face, and Claire growled defensively and put a paw backwards. "Believe it or not... you're lucky to have me. I mean, you could've easily been assigned to that Bisharp if it weren't for me. Hehe... You still can, if you'd like!?" He was actually going to do this to her, and Claire looked up at him with a blank expression. "I'm not going... I hate you..." She didn't feel a need to really finish her first thought, and was losing her resistance of retaliation. Jester nodded his head a bit, turning back around.

"You'll get it someday..." He walked to the door, opening it for her. "Right this way!" He put a dramatic, prince like tone to his voice, the same smirk on his face as he watched Claire growl.

                                                         //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Kara held up a hand, blasting through the entrance of the Team Rocket HQ. She was immediately stopped by two guards, Epilson almost immediately dropping down in front of them. "Kara? Gee... Never thought I'd see you here?" Epilson was actually slightly confused, and Kara popped one knuckle.

"You want Lucian, right? Well, I wanna learn something about Aeru..." Epilson looked back at the two guards, waving them off. "You seem so much different Kara... I like it!" Epilson knew that having Team Rocket attack her now, when Kara's very presence seemed to be somehow about her brother, was a stupid move for her. Kara was smart, knowing her safety in this approach.

"We keep this between us... deal?" Epilson nodded, stepping on the collapsed door and outside of the HQ. Kara's eyes flashed red, then back to normal in an instant.

NYE-HEH-HEH! This felt like a sorta boring-ish chapter. There was some stuff that I just had to make known, that's why there was so much new characters and places left and right. My bad for the sort of boring, informational type chapter but it had to be made in order to actually move on.

Also, tomorrow I have literally a full day of writing. Expect like a lot of good stuff getting done. Anyways, thanks for the support and please Vote, right now to help support me and this book. I love you guys... UNTIL NEXT TIME!
