I was drowning
In an ocean of emptiness
I'm not clowning
That was my weakness

I saw a glow
Deep in the bottomless pit
That is my soul
And that alone was a huge fit

It took me
A little while after
To finally feel
And become my master

It didn't happen overnight
And it definitely wasn't magic
A light in my soul shone so bright
And somehow it was no more tragic
