"Yoh Sammy!? Where you at bro?" The obnoxious voice sounded in the small strage area.
Samuel Winchester and his brother Dean Winchester had been out on a hunt when Dean got the call. There was a break in. One of their storage units had been raided. The sight was not pretty.
"Dean! Come check this out!" Sam called out over his shoulder.
Sam refused to take his eyes off of the spot for fear it might disappear. It had happened to him before he was just lucky Dean didn't think he was crazy. Given what they do on a daily basis any normal person would think they were both crazy.
Dean couldn't believe what he was seeing. The shock had stopped him in place. He looked to Sam and back at the spot. With a tender step forward Dean grabbed his brothers shoulder.
"We found it!" A shrill shreek of joy sounded.
"Well done Bellatrix. Give it here." A snarl came from the shadows.
Bellatrix Lestrange along with her husband and his brother had been sent on a top secret mission. Since they were the only three who had tried to find their master they were the most trusted. They were given top secret information regarding a certain relic to be found in the muggle world.
"Move powerful than Felix Felicis and without the time constraints of a consumed potion. With this I am guaranteed to defeat Harry Potter." The name hissed out like poisoned fruit.
The box was opened, it's ceal broken. Now the battle of life and death began as a single rabbits foot was removed from the confines of a spell bound box. A box enchanted to keep the powers locked away. A box that made the world a little safer.

"Where do you think this leads?" The question was shaky.
"I don't know Dean, but if dad had that box locked away then there must be something dangerous inside. We have to get it back." Sam said.
Dean simply nodded still speechless from what he could see. They stepped through the threshold and found themselves in the middle of winter. Sam shivered looking around quickly. The first think Dean spotted was something that looked like an inn. Dean dragged Sam over to the place and they both entered.
"What will it be boys? Butterbeer or Firewhiskey?"
Dean and Sam shared a look of confusion. They had no clue what either was, but since they had 'beer' and 'whiskey' in the name Dean was somewhat happy.
"Firewhiskey!" Dean responded with a chuckle and a smirk.
Sam hit Dean's arm as Dean's eyes followed one of the waitresses. Sam had noticed three kids looking at them with curious gazes. He could tell they knew him and his brother didn't belong. One kid had scruffy dark hair, the other was a redhead and the last one was a girl.
"You think they work for you-know-who?" Sam heard the girl ask.
"Not likely. They stick out like sore thumbs." The redhead pointed out.
The dark haired kid hadn't said anything. He simply watched the brothers and it made Sam a little uncomfortable. Sam turned to Dean after a few more seconds.
"We have to go. Now." Sam demanded shoving Dean towards the door.
It was in an alley not far from the Three Broomsticks that they found themselves trapped. The three kids had followed them out apparently. They chose to strike when there were no witnesses which Sam found acceptable.
"Who sent you?" The Dark haired kid asked pointing a wooden stick at the brothers.
Dean started to laugh. He teased the boy not understanding what could happen. Then it happened as fast as light, all three striked casting different spells.
"Silencio!", "Stuify!", "Petrificus Totalus!" The three turned to Sam, sticks at the ready. Sam's eyes were wide from shock.
"Dean!" Sam yelled as he rushed over to his brother.
"He'll be fine if you answer our questions." The girl stated.
"No one sent us. We don't even know where we are. Our storage unit was broken into and we just followed the trail." Sam said frowning.
"So you're muggles. That's good. Fintie Incantatem." The girl directed her stick at Dean. "I'm Hermione Granger. This his Harry and Ron." She pointed to the boys respectively.
Dean shot up in the spot flailing his arms and legs. He looked bewildered. Sam helped him stand as they faced the kids.
"I'm Sam Winchester and this is my brother Dean." Sam said after a moment.
"Hermione what are you doing? We can't trust them." Ron whisper yelled.
"Oh hush Ronald they're muggles. You-know-who doesn't trust muggles, we all know that." Hermione scolded.
"Don't point your stick at me." Dean shouted.
"It's a wand not a stick." Harry corrected. "Why are you here anyway?"
"We don't know where here is. Like I said we were robbed and were following a trail that led us here." Sam said.
"Do you know what was stolen?" Hermione asked.
"No not yet but we need to figure it out. It could be dangerous." Sam admitted.
Dean and Harry had been glaring at each other the whole time. It had taken both Hermione and Ron to get Harry to move and Sam had to push Dean along to follow the kids.
Two weeks had gone by. Dean and Sam had been hauled up in the Room of Requirement. Hermione, Ron and Harry took turns to check up on them and bring them food. It wasn't a bad place and they had figured out that not all witches were horrid looking and evil.
"I figured it out!" Sam yelled. "The box that was stolen it had a lucky rabbits foot."
"How is that bad?" Dean asked.
As if on que the door opened. Hermione walked in noticing the somewhat happy look on Sam's face. She nodded her head and asked him to wait. Then she dashed out of the room. A few minutes later all three of them entered the room.
"You found something right?" Hermione quarried.
"Yes I did. According to this what was stolen was a rabbits foot. It brings great luck to whoever has it. Like really good luck. Nothing can go wrong. But I mean they actually have to touch the foot with their hands." Sam explained.
"That's not good for us." Harry sighed.
"Hold on. The nerd here has some more information." Dean grinned.
Sam rolled his eyes but continued. "Throughout history there are stories of people have the best luck and it suddenly switching to the worst. There was a story written about how if someone looses a Rabbits foot their luck turns so bad that they end up dying. I don't know if that's the power of the foot that was stolen. Our father had it locked up for a reason though."
Harry nodded. "Well then it's worth a try."
Harry stood up and left the room. He was followed closely by the other occupants. He walked out onto the field and produced his wand. After taking a deep breath he yelled out. "Accio lucky Rabbits foot."
Things had been going perfectly. Not one mistake was made. Not one thing out of order. His power was growing. Voldemort found everything and everyone he set out to look for. Luck was truly on his side. The days had become irrelevant as his strength and power grew and finally it was time. He no longer needed an inside spy because simply walking up to Hogwarts would guarantee his win.
It was time to make his move. Time to march on Hogwarts. The only problem now was that he had lost his magic item. He didn't care much about it though. After all the win was still his and nothing could stop it now. His power was much greater than before.
His fate was cealed before he even knew it. It started with the horcruxes. Voldemorts protection of them ended up destroying them. He made one mistake after the next. In the end he was left with just himself. His power faultered for a moment, but since it had not failed he did not believe that his plan would fail.
He arrived at Hogwarts in record time followed by all his death eaters. This was to be his last moment alive, but he did not know that yet. It didn't dawn on him until Harry Potter himself stood face to face dangling a very familiar object. Only then did it dawn that things were not going as planned.
Voldemort rushed forward in an attack. Wand at the ready. His aim precise. It was now or never for him to rule. Now his time was up.
His final defiant attempt was lost as he stumbled forward. He lost his footing and his direction. His feet flew out from under him his wand flying free from his hand. In a final effort to keep his wand he unknowingly accepted his fate.
It was too late for him to realise when his wand replaced his eye. The piece of wood wedged itself firmly in his skull. The sharp tip breaking through the back of his head from the force. His body flopped, once, twice then no more.
The luck from the Rabbits foot turned sour and then was no more. The war was over before it bagan. Now there was only one thing to do. With the help of the Winchester brothers, Harry destroyed the artifact. Breaking the gift and curse of luck it had given him from holding it.
