The next morning we wake up and go downstairs where my mom's making toast, bacon and eggs.

While we're eating Hunt barely looks at me. It shatters my heart little by little.

He's not even eating, just picking at it and staring down.

He looks sad about something.

Terra gives me a look that says: well did you tell him?

I look away sadly avoiding her eyes letting her know it did not blow over very well.

Terra walks up to me after we finish.

Hunt had already gone upstairs.

"So how did it go? Did you tell him?!" She asks.

"Yeah I told him , but we got in a big fight and now he's super mad at me. He won't even look at me, so how do I get him to talk to me?" I ask my sister.

"Just apologize" she says

If only it was that simple.

"I tried for ten minutes last night, but he ignored me the whole time" I say.

" He'll get over it, I promise " Terra says.

"you think?" I ask.

"yeah.  Just  apologize and give him some space, he'll come around, besides you guys are meant to be together, so it'll all work out in the end " Terra reassures me.

I smile at her.  "thanks sis"

She smiles back at me. "Anytime bro"

We fist bump and blow it up.

Terra  pats my shoulder and goes up to her room .

I walk up the stairs and Hunt is sitting on the opposite bed on his phone .

I walk over to him and sit down on the bed and Hunt doesn't even acknowledge my existence.

"Look, I really am sorry. Will you please just talk to me?"

He sighs and sets his phone down . "What do you expect me to say Lucas? You kissed another guy, not really much I can say about that "

"Look, I just want you to know that Jake kissed me and I didn't even like it. I pulled away immediately.  Hunt, it's you I like"

I say and sit on the bed. 

I touched his hand and  he leapt forward and hugged me.

"Fine, if you really mean that..."

"I do." I say honestly, never wanting to see him in pain ever again.

"I believe you and I like you too. Even  if you do make mistakes, you're still my Lucas through and through, but this won't work every time you mess up you know " Hunt says

I hugged back.

"your Lucas? I could get used to that, and I promise I will never try to hurt you again. I promise to also always be honest with you " I say.

I pulled away and kissed him and he happily kissed back.

It started simple and short but grew more passionate. I started to run my fingers through his chestnut brown hair and he rubbed the back of my neck.

Before it could get to wild we both needed air.
We quickly got it and kissed again, but only shortly 'cause then my parents and sister walked in.

We pulled apart and stared at them. They just stared back.

Terra was grinning ear to ear and my parents had proud looks on their faces, like I had just won the lottery.

"Sorry , Sorry " they say and close the door .

I peck Hunt's lips again.

" So boyfriends?" Hunt asks.

"Boyfriends " I confirm.

I kiss Hunt's forehead and we lie back down.

I run my finger through his hair as he lays his head against my shoulder. I lay my head on top of his and all of a sudden, my whole world is complete.

I could get used to waking up and having him in my arms.

I would be his safe place and he would keep me from going off the deep end.

I would love him and he would love me and nothing else in the world would ever matter.
