Loving You. (Loki)
Puckering up my lips I stood in the line for a hot beverage, wondering when the line might be able to move. After blankly staring at the person in front of me, he disappears and I step forward with smile on my face.
"Can I get a hot chocolate please?"
The cashier nods and I hand the money over, only to begin the second part of the waiting game while. "Val?"
"Yo." I stepped forward, taking the cup in my pale, cold hands before I stepped out of the coffee shop and into the chilly air. Hurrying down the street I chewed the inside of my cheek. Standing on the corner of the street at the zebra crossing I looked around me, noticing two oddly dressed men standing on either side of me.
"Nice outfit's." I say to the guy standing next to me.
"Thank you, it's the latest fashion in Asgard."
"Uh-ha . . ." I nodded, not knowing what game has Asgard in it. The light switched green and I started walking instantly with the crowd, instantly losing the strangely dressed men.
Twitching my nose I turned down another street and continued walking down the street, staring straight ahead as I ignored the shops with the brilliant looking stuff in them. Some woman wearing shiny armor bumped my shoulder. "Sorry." She apologizes, making sure to stop in front of me.
"No it should be me who's apologizing, I wasn't looking where I was going . . ." She stares down at me and I shook my head. "Sorry, I need to get going now. I'm late." I gave the girl an awkward smile before I hurried away from her.
I continued walking down the cold street, noticing the clouds were darkening while I pulled my hood over my head and I drank the rest of my drink and tossed the cup into a trash can.
"When you dream, do you remember what you dream of when you wake up?" I looked over to another man in costume.
"Pardon?"
He stared at me, green eyes staring at green eyes. "When you dream, do you remember your dream's when you wake up?"
"I don't dream."
"Or could it be that you just forget when you wake?" He questions.
I raised an eye brow at him. "Or maybe I just don't dream."
"You're eyes are full of wonder-"
"And your eyes are full of trouble." I mused. "Now, lovely chat, but I gotta go." I smiled clapping my hands. "And I am really wondering if my invitation to this comic con in Melbourne got lost. Love the get up, but I really gotta go. Live long and prosper." I gave him the Vulcan salute before I turned and continued hurrying my way home.
Stuffing my hands into my pockets I bowed my head while I jog to the bus stop and waited. Biting my bottom lip the bus turns the corner just on time while I wave it down, board and then hold on for my dear life because Melbourne buses are like a roller coaster and you might die on the highway because of it.
Leaning on the seat in front of me with my boots firmly planted on the floor so I wouldn't go flying across the bus I watched the scenery, everyone else wasn't even affected - maybe coming from the nation's capital territory to the busy city of Melbourne wasn't such a good idea?
Then again, it was free.
So oh well, who am I to pass up something that's free?
Pressing the stop button I thanked the driver before I stepped off the bus and walked down the driveway of my home. I pull the keys out of my pocket and pushed them into the door before I pushed it open, only to hear a loud thud from behind me, as well as a tidal wave of leave hit me.
"What . . ." Turning I see a strange man in red with blonde hair, and a hammer.
"Lady Valkyrie?" He questions, pointing his hammer at me.
"No." I stepped inside and closed the door. I lock it before turning, only to come face to face with the green eyed man from before, and the woman from before too. "Oh this is a creepy Comic Con convention." I pressed my back against my front door as I stare at the two cautiously.
"You're needed at home." The woman says, staring down at me.
"I am at home." I said slowly, starting at the two with fear trickling through my system.
"You're real home."
"You're both a bag of cats. Good bye." Before they could blink I ducked around the two and sprinted to my bedroom where I slammed the door shut, walked into my cupboard and climbed the shelves before I unlatched the sky light and climbed out onto the roof - I am not dying today by some house invader.
Climbing onto the roof like I've planned just in case someone breaks into my house (I'm really paranoid) and slowly slid down the roof, pausing at the edge. "Umm . . ." Turning onto my stomach I slowly lowered myself back to the earth.
My fingers pried themselves at the roof tiles as I tried to wiggle my way to the earth. "I really should have thought this out!" I huffed, trying to figure out how I can reach the ground safely. But then my 'strength' decided to turn against me and I fell from the roof, right into someone's arms.
"I caught here friends! Brother! Friend's! I caught Lady Valkyrie!" The man booms in my ear, making me flinch. Soon we were surrounded by the guys gang."HEIMDALL, OPEN THE GATE." The guy yells in my ear, making me wonder if I'm deaf yet in my right ear.
But then my vision was flooded by different colors, and I felt sick. And then I wasn't in Melbourne - Earth anymore.
