In this dirty world, there was only one person who would love you.

Prussia.

Everyday he would come home to you, smother you with his love, and whisper sweet nothings into your ear.

It was pure bliss.

There was only one rule you had to abide by in his house. Never go out of the house. Not that you minded. Your social anxiety had all but escalated to the point where just seeing an unfamiliar person would send you into a fit. Besides, Gilbird was there, Prussia had a lot of interesting books in his room and sometimes, he allowed you to use his computer. You knew it was all because Prussia wanted to keep you safe from the outside world. But a small part of you still yearned to see the outside world. For you, the outside world consisted of the small window in his room and the globe that sat beside his computer, and the old maps in his drawers. But then again, you shouldn't be this selfish. He was already doing a lot just by letting you stay in his house.

"(Name)?"

You flinched.

"(Name), it's me Ludwig."

You sighed in relief.

"Please come down, dinner is ready."

"T-Thank you," you whispered through the door. You fingers touched the cold knob and you took a deep breath.

"Hey-" Your eyes widened and you let go of the knob. There was somebody else there.

"Shut up, you bloody wanker," hissed another voice. You heard several more voices speak in hushed tones.

There were more people?

You began to hyperventilate.

"(Name)," came Ludwig's voice, "are you alright?"

"L-Luddy," you sobbed, "the-there are other people there."

Germany grew silent. You wondered if maybe he had gone to make the people go away. You took a deep breath to calm yourself down until you heard the jingling of keys and the click of a lock. The door opened slightly and your eyes met a stranger's cerulean orbs. Almost immediately, a fit had taken over you.

"Woah! Dudette! Calm down, don't worry. The hero's here to help you!"

"Goddamn it, America, you're terrifying her!"

"Stop acting like immature kids, aru! And let go of that pipe, Russia!"

"I think it is you, who is terrifying her, da?"

"Ma cherie, are you alright. You must forgive these fools, they have absolutely no manners whatsoever!"

"He-hey are you okay? Guys, I-I think she's going into a fit."

You screamed. There were so many people.

"(Name), calm down," pleaded Germany, "I'm trying to help, I don't like how bruder is keeping you locked up here, it's unethical, it's-"

"Love," interrupted a male voice.

You looked up and there he was.

"Gilbert..."

"I'm home, schatz," he whispered planting a soft kiss on your forehead. You clung to him like a lifeline.

"I was so scared," you confessed, tears pricking the edges of your eyes.

He held you tightly, "shhh, liebe, calm down."

You nodded.

"Good, now I need you to do me a favor. When I stand up, close your eyes, cover your ears, and count to a ten."

You nodded once more.

"And you won't open your eyes no matter what."

"I promise."

"Good girl."

He stood up. Immediately, you closed your eyes and covered your ears.

"Eins."

Although you covered your ears as best you as you, you still heard Prussia and those other men argue for a while until Germany joined in. You could tell by the tense air around you that something bad was going to happen but you had to listen to Prussia. You promised not to open your eyes or tale your hands away from your ears. You had to count to ten.

"Zwei."

"Drei."

You smelled something, something that smelled unmistakably of iron and a scream.

"Vier."

The screams grew louder and the smell grew stronger.

"Fünf."

What was happening?

"Sechs."

Soon, the screams stopped and a soft voice that you couldn't hear very well replaced it.

"Sieben."

You were tempted to peek but a small part of you held you back. A promise is a promise.

"Acht."

The countdown was almost done. You just had to scrape down that nagging feeling in the pit of your stomach.

"Neun."

Then it suddenly grew quiet.

"Zehn."

You slowly opened your eyes, just in time to see Prussia standing in the middle of a bloody mess. Ludwig was on his knees with a terrified look on his face.

"Bitte, bruder, don't do this."

Gilbert looked at his brother with a cold edge to his crimson eyes.

"Es tut mir lied."

He turned around to see you staring at him curiously.

"I'm sorry you had to see that."

"See what," you asked.

He smirked and patted your head, "good girl."

"Th-they won't take me away now, will they?"

"No, they won't. I promise."

"I'll kill anyone, who tries to take you away from me."
