Chapter 25
New cover ♡♡ comment what you think. ☆★
Nine months. Thought Hermione. Nine months. She was nine months. Soon she would hold her daughter in her arms for the first time. And that honestly terrified her. She, Hermione Jean Granger, was soon to become a mother.
Hermione hummed softly as she and Draco lay in bed on a windy Saturday morning. They were both sat up. Draco's head lay against the pillow and Hermione's rested on Draco's bare chest. Draco had on pajamas bottoms and white socks with no shirt. One of Draco's arms were wrapped around Hermione and the other one ran his fingers over her bump. Tracing them back and fort.
"You looking forward to it" Draco asked softly. Hermione nodded slightly. "I guess its gonna be pretty tough" Hermione answered. Draco nodded his head. "I'll be there for you" His voice whispered in her ear. "I know you will" Hermione kissed his cheek.
The pairs relationship had grown stronger. They had bonded over this experience.
It was now February. The days had gotten slightly longer and less colder. Hermione used her wand to levitate her book so she could read. It was a muggle classic she adored.
Matilda.
It was about a unique young girl whom was judged by her amazing ability to control things with her mind. When Hermione was young, and unknown to her magical powers, would read it whenever the girls st school would tease her. They teased her for knowing everything about fantasy worlds they thought to be nonexistent. But Hermione knew deep down in her heart, that unicorns did exist, that magic wasn't a myth. And while the other children thought witches were bad and wicked, Hermione knew that they weren't. Besides, if they all say it isn't real, how do they know witches are bad? She would always think. Hermione was always convinced, from a young age, she wasn't ordinary. She was special and for something wonderful. Something that would bring a greater good.
Whenever Hermione returned to the muggle world, she would resist the temptation to brag to her teasers and hex them.
Hermone flicked onto the next page of Matilda. Already the brunette was on chapter two. "What's that??" Draco's eyebrows knitted together in confusion. "Its a muggle book." Hermione replied, not taking her chocolate brown eyes away from the words printed on the book.
Draco began to read over his girlfriends shoulder. His eyes darting across the pages. After a little while, Draco had become quicker at reading than Hermione and urged her to flip onto the next page. Hermine was amused at the blonds' eagerness to be involved with her muggle reading.
Eventually ,They had both finished. "Here" Hermione got up and went into the living room. She returned with a blue book. Draco looked confused. Hermione sat back down. "Read this." She handed him the book.
"I think you'd like it. I read it the whole time when I was younger" Hermione explained.
Draco read the cover; Charlotte's Web.
The cover was pastel blue and had a small girl with pigtails, a round pig sat next to her and a plump sided was cradled in a web in the corner of the cover.
"Go on, give it a shot" Hermione egged him on. "Alright, guess it can't kill me" Draco agreed with a curt nod. He opened the first page.
Hermione lay back down and drifted back to sleep. Draco on the other hand, was enchanted by the book. He kept flicking through the pages, taking in every word. Finally, the Slytherin had reached the end of the book. Woah, he thought.
His mind buzzed with so many questions.
Like;
Why did Charlotte have to die?
How did Charlotte make such miraculous meanings in her web??
Draco wanted more. He wanted to read more muggle books.
When Hermione woke up, he would beg for another enchanting tale.
