Amanda's POV:

"Aunt Lucy?" The twins ran to Christian and I, I picked Ashely up and placed her on my hip while Christian picked Ashton up.

"What are you doing here?" Christian asked her

"I mean no harm, I just want to talk to Amanda." She said

Aunt Lucy looked horrible, she had bags under her eyes and she looked skinnier than she used to. I don't know what the hell happened to her, but she looks horrible. I looked her in the eye to see if she was lying, and she looked sincere. Right now, she looked harmless.

Christian and I looked at each other and I sighed and nodded my head. I placed Ashley on her feet and she looked up at me.

"Mommy, what are you doing?" She asked me, I bent down at her level and looked at her.

"I'll be quick baby, you go with Daddy and your brother first." She said, she glanced at Aunt Lucy and then at me. I saw the fear in her eyes, I knew she was scared of Aunt Lucy's presence.

"Please be careful, Mommy." She pleaded, I gave her a smile and nodded my head.

"Of course I will baby." I said and kissed her head. I stood up and walked over to Ashton and kissed his forehead.

"Don't worry okay bud, Mommy's gonna be alright." I said, he nodded his head and glared at Aunt Lucy.

"Don't hurt my Mommy." He said, Aunt Lucy just stood there with no emotion on her face and nodded her head. I looked at Christian and pecked his lips.

"I'll be fine babe, you take the twins to their room, we won't be too long." I said, he nodded his head and kissed my forehead.

"I love you, be careful." He said, I gave him a small smile and faced Aunt Lucy.

"We'll talk outside." I told her, she nodded her head and I walked out and closed the door behind me.

"What do you want?" I asked her

I'm afraid, yes, but she can't possibly hurt me out here, there are people around.

"I just want to apologize for everything." She said, I just stared at her not knowing what to say.

"Amanda, I'm really sorry for what I did to you, I don't know what I was thinking. I let the alcohol get to me. I'm really really sorry, Amanda." She said, is this real? Am I dreaming? Is she really apologizing to me?

"Why'd you do it?" I asked her

"I-I was jealous, I loved your father, your real father, which I bet you met him already. I loved him with every bit of my heart. We were together when we were in high school, but a few months into the college life, he broke up with me saying that he didn't love me anymore and that he met someone new, your mother. We were separated in college because he got accepted into a different college and your mother was in the same college along with her twin sister. I was so hurt because I could see her when I see you, you look so much like her.

I never moved on from your father, I was so hurt. I was always closer to Lorraine than Lauren, and so when she died, the pain just increased. I was told that I was now in charge of you and the twins. When I saw you, I immediately saw your mother, you looked so much like her including the eyes, and so I took my anger out on you." She explained

I understand what she went through, but she still tried to kill me and that needs a little bit more time to forgive her for.

"I understand Aunt Lucy, but you have to understand that I need time to forgive you. Aunt Lucy, you almost killed me, and scared the twins." I said, she looked down and nodded her head.

"I know, Amanda. I'm really sorry." She said, I sighed and wrapped my arms around her. She tensed up at first but returned the hug.

"I'm really sorry, that was no excuse for what I did." She said

"It's alright Aunt Lucy, I understand, but I can't say the same for the twins." I said and rubbed her back in a soothing way. We pulled away and she looked at me.

"Speaking of the twins, why did they call you Mommy?" She asked

"Christian and I adopted them, Mom and Dad suggested it and it's probably one of the best decisions in my life." I said with a proud smile

"I'm really proud of you, Amanda." She said

"Mom and Dad are coming in a bit for dinner, do you want to join us?" I asked

I know what you're thinking, what the hell am I inviting the woman who tried to kill me for dinner? Well I think it's time that we forgive and forget.

"I'm not so sure." She said, I can see that she really doesn't want to join us but I really want everything to be at peace.

"Please, I'll make sure that you're comfortable. I'll tell Mom and Dad to keep their cool." I said

"Sure, why not." She said, I smiled and grabbed her hand pulling her inside the house. Once we got into the house, I pulled her in the living room where Christian and the twins were. Ashton and Ashely snapped their heads in my directions and let out a smile, but once they saw Aunt Lucy, their smiles dropped.

"Mommy, what is she doing here? Why is she here?" Ashley asked

"Baby, Aunt Lucy wants to apologize for everything she's done,
I forgave her, so maybe you could too?" I asked, she looked unsure and so she looked at her twin brother. Ashton looked pretty unsure himself, I could tell that they were both thinking about it. I looked at Christian and he was just looking at Aunt Lucy.

The front door opened and I knew for sure that that was Mom, Dad, and Alyssa.

"Hey guys, we're he-" Mom said but stopped as soon as she saw Aunt Lucy in the room with us.

"Lucy?"
