No emotion could describe how I am feeling now.

Scared

Hopeless

Angry

Frustrated

How could I just burst like this?? I told her I liked her. I even cussed. What else will this girl make me do more??

She is going to be the death of me.

How can a person be so cute, beautiful, adorable and....hot at the same time? Is it possible?

You have the living example in front of you.

That's true.

I was on the way to my house when suddenly a thought knocked into my mind.

What the fuck did I do?

I told her that I liked her but what if she doesn't and breaks our friendship. I can't lose her.

A tap on the car window snapped me back to reality and I faced left to see Shaira on her bike signalling me to roll the window. What does she want me to do now? I hesitantly rolled down the window and the next thing she said left me.... SPEECHLESS

"I hate it too"

I slammed the brakes and looked at her back bewildered and still not able to comprehend what happened.

I hate it too

I hate it too?

I HATE IT TOO!

Does it mean that she likes me too? She said that she hates it which is probably the fact that she likes me?

Urghh

Why does she have to be so confusing?

Because she is Shaira Evans

Nope cause she is MY Shaira Evans.

I smiled to myself and started to drive again. By the time, I reached home my face was going to break because of how big I was smiling. No matter what, I couldn't stop the grin from appearing on my face. But it quickly vanished when I saw that the lights of her house were off.

Where is she? She should be home by now.

I made a note to call her later and entered the house, running up the stairs to my room to take a quick shower and go to Shaira's house as I had to tutor her. Exams were arriving in six months or so and she still has half of the math syllabus left to finish and what not.

How does she pass in her exams?

It was 7:30 now and still no sign of her. I dialed her number again but she didn't pick up. I decided to go to her house and surprisingly the lights were on. A frown appeared on my face but I ringed the bell and a few seconds later a....guy opened the door.

"Who are you?" We said simultaneously.

"What are you doing over here?" He asked and I could feel myself getting angry by each passing second.

"I came to see Shaira. She is not picking up her phone. I am Aaron." I mumbled and a look of recognition flick through his eyes.

"Oh I know you. Come in." He moved aside and opened the door wider."I am Jace, Shaira's brother." I nodded my head remembering that she didn't live alone now.

"Take a seat. I told her to go a shop to buy some groceries." He said and walked to the hall, sitting on the couch while I sat beside him. It wasn't long before a conversation picked up and somehow we had a lot of similarities also I got to know a lot about Shaira.

The conversation continued but it wasn't long till I noticed the time.

9:47 pm.

"She should be back by now." Jace took out his phone and called her but it was unreachable.

"Let me call Alicia." I took out my phone and he nodded trying to call her again. The phone ringed and Alicia's voice greeted me.

"Hey Aaron,what's up?"

"Hey Alicia. I need your help. Is Shaira with you?"

"Um..no why?"

"She went to the grocery shop but didn't return yet and it's also getting late."

"Oh did you call her?"

"Yeah but she isn't picking up."

"Maybe she went to a fight. Let me call the others and ask them."

"Sure, thanks"

"No problem."

I hung up and turned to Jace to see him running his hand through his hair and quickly typing away on his phone.

"Did you call her?" I asked and he nodded."Her phone is switched off." I waited for Alicia to call me back. Time was passing and I was getting worried.

What if something happened to her?

My phone ringed and hope sparked within me that she might know where Shaira is.

"Hello did you find anything about her?" I asked

"No the others also don't know where she is."

"Ok thanks. I will wait for her."

"Let me go to Liam's with Jake, maybe he knows."

"Ok." I ended the call and sighed. I knew that Liam the one who taught her how to fight. She told me about him.

What if she is badly hurt from a fight?

An image of her bruised knuckles and bloody face reminded me of the time when she came to my house at night.

"Why the fuck isn't she fucking picking up her fucking phone?!" Jace yelled and threw his phone in the couch. Now I know where she got her habit of cussing so much.

Time went by.

11pm

The others were all over here trying to find a way to get contact to her.

"I am going to the nearest grocery shop to check if she is there or not." I said and walked to the door.

"It's late now. The shops will be closed." Ryan reasoned but I was damn worried about her to care that the shops were close. All I wanted is for her to be safe and back to her house.

"I will come with you." Jace offered and we both got out, walking to my car and drove to the nearest grocery shop.

"There are four grocery shops in this area. We will go and try to find if she came here or not." I said as I stopped infront of one of the grocery shop. It was about to close but we asked the person closing the shop, probably the owner about her and showed him her picture but he said that she wasn't here.

We checked on all the shops but no one seemed to know where she is.

Where are you?

It was eating me alive to not know where she is and if she is safe or not. I stopped infront of the last shop and it was open. The shop was circled with police tape,ambulances and police cars surrounded the area. Some officers were inquiring a few people and some were inside. Reporters stood at the front trying to get a better view of inside. I gulped and turned to Jace who had a passive look on his face.

With every step I took, dread filled me.

What if she is not ok?

What if something happened to her?

We walked to a police officer and Jace tapped on his shoulder. The officer turned and replied.

"Yes?"

"What happened here?" I asked him with eagerness laced in my voice. I need to find my Shaira. But my world shattered when I heard the next thing he said.
