SIWES has passed.............
Final year is here now💕❤️❤️
Junaid's POV
Let me go man! Stop you are hurting me!
Mansur chuckled as I tickled him hard by his side.
Promise you won't ever do that again??? I grinned as I kept on tickling him.
Okay fine, promise. No more smiling at Aa'yat. No more talking to her and I would unfriend her this instant. Ouch! Now please let me go. He pleaded with a sour laughter.
Better for you dude! I shouted out before finally letting him go.
Finally, play is over. Sadeeq my second roommate called out as we stopped the little charade that was ongoing.
I heaved a sigh before taking a sit on my bed. You won't understand guy, he just likes disobeying me. He is too naughty and stubborn. I answered.
But I don't see anything wrong with him wanting to be friends with her, didn't you say you had no feelings for her? Aren't you allegedly in love with the other one.... Uhmmmm what is her name....
Inayat. Manusr interrupted as I gave him a death glare.
Yes Inayat, Sadeeq continued as I paid attention.
You love Inayat right? So why don't you leave Aa'yat to Mansur, he likes her man.
Or do you love Aa'yat too???? He asked lastly as I just stared at him in silence.
I patted the back of my head slowly in thought as I kept finding for words to say.
Subhanallah, you love her too that is huh??? Sadeeq concluded with his mouth wide open as he stared at me.
You see, I told you dude! You are in love with Aa'yat too!, My Aa'yat!. Mansur cried out in what really didn't seem like tears. I guess he saw that coming so he wasn't really surprised, he was disappointed.
Shhh, keep it down dude. I turned to Mansur. It isn't that way okay, I mean I don't know, I don't really know what to do or think now. I sighed as I laid flat on my back staring at the bunk on top of mine.
Hmmmmmm.... Sadeeq exhaled as he began.
Who do you really love Junaid???
This is a question you need to ask yourself dude.
I mean, we are in the finals Alhamdulilah, all you have to do now is scale through this year again. Moreover, you have always being a first class student and I know you would maintain it that way In Sha Allah.
You aren't really the type to mix love life with any of your other activities. So I know it would be easy for you. But once you graduate, didn't you say a job was already waiting for you at you Dad's company in Saudi??
He queried as I nodded a yes.
You see, once there is a certificate, money and all, what next? You shouldn't waste your time, you have to settle down dude. You have to get married.
And I know you wouldn't want an arranged marriage or so right?
He added as I still nodded a yes.
Then, you should decide what you want and make your move. You two can get engaged already just to secure your position. He concluded.
But the problem is with whom???? Mansur questioned as he widened his eyes.
And don't you dare choose my Aa'yat, because she is mine please. He pouted as I stared at him in disbelief.
Really? Is that all that matters to you right now???
Your Aa'yat???
Pffft! We both know she doesn't like you one bit dude! I joked annoyingly as he frowned.
She has her eyes on me and me alone. And truths be told, I really like her too. I smiled.
Blah! Blah!! Blah!! Mansur eyed as he hummed a song he was really bad at and held his pillow over his ear in other to block my words.
I chuckled at the sight of this and muttered the words; "so childish".
I turned to Sadeeq as I started;
You see bro, You are right. I think I am in love with both girls.
Inayat, has always been on my mind since the very first day I got to that department. Even though we hardly spoke to each other and she honestly doesn't know how I feel about her, I have always admired her simplicity and her lifestyle. I love her so much for Allah's sake. And if I am opportune to marry her today, Allah's willing I will.
That is just how much she means to me.
While Aa'yat on the other hand, is not someone I have always loved on first sight. It took a while, a very long while for me to finally get to know her. We have gone through so many halal phases together and I must tell you, she really is a fast learner.
She likes me which I am somewhat sure of, and is willing to get married to me this instant if I make the call. And bro, I think I have grown used to her too. I mean, when I am with her, I feel like we have known each other for so long. I feel like there is this bond that keeps wanting me to always be with her, which is very rare as I hardly talked to other ladies.
So, with the look of things, I think I like her too. I concluded.
I am so confused bro, I don't know what to do. I added.
He let out a sigh before finally answering me.
I think you should just pray about it and let Allah (swt) decide for you. He answered.
But if left for me, I think you should go with the latter, that is Aa'yat, because she is the one you are so sure loves you back. You can even get engaged now if you are really sure of things. He sighed.
I exhaled and nodded as I thought hardly on what he said.
Minutes later, a beep on my phone and it was a text from Aa'yat.
"Let's meet up Junaid, I am bored. I promise to stay at arm's length 😂😂." It read.
I smiled brightly as I stood to leave and baded Sadeeq bye before finally storming out.
Aa'yat's POV
It is just for you and I, Aa'yat excluded. Sabeerah stated as she dished a portion of jollof couscous she just made Into a plate.
Why??? Don't you eat couscous? Inayat queried as she turned to look at me.
I do, but I just crave something else. I smiled back.
Ya isa haka ma'asu craving (Hausa: It is enough, those that have cravings). Sabeerah cuts in as she tabled the food on the bed close to where Inayat sat.
We are all finalists now Alhamdulilah, Sabeerah, Inayat and I decided to stay together in the same room yet again.
We are more like sisters now, I have so grown to love this two ladies ❤️💕💕.
So what is it you are craving??? Inayat asked with a mouth filled with couscous.
Table manners inny. Sabeerah called to her attention as she eyed her in response.
I smiled at the two before answering the pending question. I am craving pounded yam and egusi soup endowed with soft cow skin. I drooled with my imagination.
Waw, someone really does has tastes for good things. Sabeerah exclaimed as Inayat laughed along.
You guys are not serious. I joined in.
But seriously I don't know why, but I just woke up craving for it. Well, last night I came across a page on IG for African foods and I saw this Image. I said out as I showed them the image of the pounded yam and egusi I had described.
Waw, looks so yummy. Inayat commented.
But, this is going to be stressful if you want to make it yourself. Sabeerah lamented.
I know it is. I laughed out
I don't plan on making it myself either. I added.
So what now? Want to place an order??? Sabeerah asked.
Table manners Eerah. Inayat corrected earning a frown from Sabeerah.
No, actually I am waiting for a phone call. We would head to a nice eatery and together we would dine there. I smiled as they both looked at me in silence.
Junaid? Inayat asked out sadly.
Yes Junaid. I answered back casually.
I haven't really told the girls how I felt for Junaid, but I always told them about the phases we have both been through and how much our relationship means to me.
#brother and sisterhood#😂
The mood between us suddenly got tense and I could tell Inayat was being jealous.
Sabeerah cleared her throat as she added with a that is so nice, do enjoy.
Which made us all smile out.
My phone rang almost immediately and It was from Junaid.
"I am waiting in front of your hostel mallama". He said.
I ran to the locker we all shared, I was the first occupant while Inayat was the second this time. Sabeerah was the third and a lady who preferred to stay at her parents house off campus came last.
Since we three were like sisters, we decided to share both lockers.
I opened the locker containing some of our clothes and picked my baby pink hijab.
Less I forget, I am an Hijabi now.
Ma Sha Allah ❤️💕.
I wore my hijab and quickly made my way downstairs as I baded the girls bye.
I got downstairs and Junaid was there at the front of social centre pacing back and forth.
I signaled at him using my hand and he caught my glimpse almost immediately.
Assalamualikum. I greeted as I got to where he stood.
Wa'Alaikum Salam. He answered back with a broad smile.
Huh? What's up with the bright smile this afternoon, any good news??? I queried.
No, not really. He sort of blushed.
Everything is fine.
So where are we headed??? He added.
Anywhere I can get food. I plainly answered.
What's wrong? You and your roommates gave up on cooking for each other??? He kind of asked.
No, not really. We wouldn't do that. I answered back with a smirk.
I am just craving pounded yam and egusi that is why. I confessed.
Woah... That is going to be a big Dinner. He joked as we both chuckled.
Well, I don't really know these canteens and eateries as I have hardly visited one. I mean I do go there to buy drinks and all, but no idea on the kind of foods they sell. I causally answered.
Oh, I see. So you only eat what you prepare huh? I asked as we got to where snooker game was being played at the social center and we took a quick pause before he answered.
I do, but Mansur is always a volunteer when it comes to that. He said out as we chuckled yet again.
Awww.... So nice of him. I kind of smiled out.
Yes somehow. He answered casually as he hastened his steps.
I ran over to him as we made our way into foodsteps. I hope to get what I am looking for in this eatery or should I say canteen pffft!.
Junaid sat somewhere as he reserved the seats for us while I placed our orders.
Soon, our orders arrived and Junaid stated;
"I didn't know you were going to order for me too, would have told you there was no need."
Why? I asked.
I am allergic to melon. He casually stated like it was no big deal.
Woah, of all allergies, yours is melon??? I asked with a bit of laughter written on my face.
Yes. I am serious. He answered with a smile.
It runs in our family. He added as he stared at the food.
Oops, too bad I already bought for two so you have to eat. I teased.
No, I would just pack it for Mansur. He loves pounded yam. He answered.
Okay then that is fine. Just watch me eat. I smiled as he nodded a yes in response.
This is my first time trying this, so I hope it goes well. I smiled out as I fed myself a cut.
OMG she just said yes!!. We heard a guy exclaim from somewhere outside and everyone went to watch, of course excluding Junaid and I.
He just proposed to her.
You know, the I love you, will you marry me of a thing. I smiled at him as he just nodded.
The day a guy is going to propose to me huh, I am definitely sure I am going to choke hard on my breath. I joked as he laughed out and I joined in.
I LOVE YOU AA'YAT❤️❤️. He said out.
What??? I queried in shock.
Yes, and I am really serious about it. I have grown to love you. Will you marry me??? He asked sort of seriously.
Subhanallah I can't breath. I said out loud as I began gasping for breath.
C'mon, I was just joking. Junaid laughed out as he mocked my reaction.
No, I am really serious. I really can't breathe. I said in a more serious tone as I stood in gasp for breath.
Aa'yat! Aa'yat!! Junaid called out as he held me tight and everything went blank.
Yhu_so_shy💕❤️
