***Christian's POV***

"Christian, please keep an eye on my kitten. I am heading the search party to find yours." I nod in acceptance as Tony walks over and kisses Josie deeply.

I open my arms and Josie snuggles down into my arms. He places his covered feet up against my legs under the comforter.

"What movie would you like to watch?" I ask, my eyes staring down on to my smiling bestie.

"Can we watch Onward? Please." Josie bats his eyelashes. I playfully tsk and look for the movie On Demand.

"Christian you haven't fed. Please do. I worry for you." Josie strokes my hand in his soft palms.

"You just want me to drink from you." I tease. Josie nods his head aggressively and climbs in my lap.

I sit back against the head board and move his curls back. I stroke his neck with my thumbs and place small kisses there. Josie giggles and I roll my eyes.

I swear this is more for him than me.

"Ready." I ask, my fangs descending and preparing to break his skin.

Josie nods and I lap my tongue across his neck, along the artery that I will puncture. I open my mouth and slowly push my fangs into his delicate flesh.

The euphoria is automatic. I close my eyes and inhale deeply, my Adam's Apple bobbing as I carefully take in his alluring blood. I swear, had Tony not accepted him as his beloved, I would just take him as my own. His blood is sweet and the most tantalizing flavor to ever wash over my tongue.

I take my fill, checking on Josie as I retract my fangs and lick the flesh. Josie smiles and falls back into my arms. I pull him into my chest and rock him soothingly before standing to head to the kitchen.

Once there, I heat up the food that Tony set out for us. I set Josie in the chair and prepare him a plate with a coke. I sit beside him and we eat in peaceful silence.

Josie eats a little. As usual, his small tummy fills up quickly. When we are done, we head back upstairs to finally watch the film he chose.

Josie giggles and smiles through the animation. His angelic laugh is as entertaining as the movie itself. I find myself smiling and chuckling along with him. The movie is great. It's Pixar. It was bound to be a hit.

Josie yawns big and cuddles onto my chest. I rest my eyes while moving my hand soothingly up and down his small back.

I obviously slip into a nap of my own. I wake to the sound of Josie pecking my cheek. I pop one eye open and look up at the adorable guy.

"Good morning." Josie bounces on his knees next to me.

"Is it morning?" I ask. I look towards the window and realize that indeed it is.

"Sorry I woke you." Josie crawls off the bed and walks to my side. He grabs my hand and pulls me towards where he stands.

"Are you hungry?" I ask, while following him down the stairs.

"A little but, I really wanted you to teach me how to make coffee." Josie stops in front of the Keurig.

"Oh it's easy." I grab the little k cup and put it in the machine. Filling the reservoir with water, I talk Josie through the steps.

Josie grabs the cream and honey while waiting for his mug to fill.

"Thank you, Christian." Josie smiles as his lips pucker to blow on the steaming liquid.

The sound of the screen door alerts us of Tony's arrival. He is still in the clothes he left in hours ago. I imagine they were out all night doing my bidding.

"Got good news." Tony smiles widely and swoops Josie into his arms.

"Lay it on me." I chuckle. Josie is just eating up Tony's affection with a silver spoon.

Tony takes a seat, bringing Josie into his lap. Josie settles down and sips his coffee from the cradle of Tony's muscular arms.

"Found her little hide out. But." Tony gives me a knowing look.

"I hate buts." I groan.

"Funny, I love one in particular." Tony kisses Josie, under his curls.

"The but." I encourage. I want to know the rest.

"She is either extremely skittish, shy or in danger."

My interest peeks at the last adjective.

"What brought on that conclusion?" I ask. I grab a cup of coffee and return to my seat.

"She appears to be in hiding. From what or who, that's the question." Tony picks at the breakfast he has in front of him, reaching up to feed Josie. Absentmindedly, Josie eats while kicking his legs in his beloved's lap.

I make a mental note about that little development.

"Well, I guess she will come out when she is ready." I don't mean to sound nonchalant about the whole thing. But, I have no time for games. I don't know the girl and I don't have to.

That's not how things work. Yes, she is made specifically for me. However, I won't whither away without my beloved. I just simply have her as an option. If she rejects me, I find someone else to love and cherish.

It's not rocket science.

"You're not invested." I don't miss the accusatory tone of my Sire's voice.

"You can't be invested in something that you have never actually dissected. That's not smart money. I refuse to pine away for someone. If they choose to accept me fine. If not, I will take Josie." I laugh when Tony slaps the shit outta my arm.

"The truth is, you didn't accept Josie right away. It all worked out." I explain how I see things.

"That's because, I wasn't aware that he would accept me." Tony turns Josie in his lap and cuddles the small boy in his arms.

"Sire, you're ridiculous. I love you. Why would I reject you?" Josie looks innocently at his beloved. Tony smiles widely and captures Josie's lips in a soft kiss.

"I love you sweet man. Thank you for allowing me to do so." My heart thumps a little louder at the exchange. They are goals. Albeit a marathon and not a sprint. But, goals they are, all the same.

"Well, if you two want some alone time, I can find something to do." I clean up the kitchen while I speak my offer.

"It's still the weekend. Only Sunday." Josie all but whines. I chuckle. He is definitely my biggest fan.

"I didn't say I wanted to be away from you. It was just an offer." I run my fingers through his platinum curls. Josie flashes those large blue eyes up at me. He is a stunning creature.

"We respectfully decline." Josie giggles the words out.

"Okay. So what is it you want to do?" I question.

"We can do anything. I just want to be with my two favorite vampires." Josie smiles adoringly between Tony and me.

"I suppose if your beloved kicked you to the curb, Josie would be fine with taking you as a second beloved." Tony jokes. I chuckle but, don't think that isn't Plan B.

"I'm not going to deny it." Josie giggles manically at Tony's lips making claim all over his alabaster skin.

"Let's at least see what this kitty is made of." I lean down and place my lips on Josie's forehead.

"Can we go to an amusement park?" Josie asks. I internally cringe. There are always loud and obnoxious people at those places.

"Yes." I groan out. If Josie wants to ride rollercoasters and test gravity, bring on the barf bag.

Josie jumps up and does a little wiggle dance as he heads towards the stairs. I laugh. The boy has moves.

"You hate those places." Tony accuses. I can tell he was counting on me to veto the idea.

"If Josie is happy, I am." I wink. He isn't using me as a tool of manipulation. That's what sex is for, I think.

"Let's go Sire. Come on, Christian. If we hurry, I can get all the rides in." Josie pulls us towards the door. I follow blindly. I don't mind.

The drive, to the best park, is long. It takes an hour and a half. Had Josie been a vampire, we could have run in less than an hour. As it stands, we didn't make the worst the time.

Josie giggles and claps when the lady offers to paint his face as a butterfly. I watch in awe. She works her artistic talent quickly. He looks precious, because he is.

We stop off and grab him a drink. We stand in line for so long at one attraction, I finally rush off to buy express passes. By the time I return, we are pushed to the line on the side and skip the main.

I buckle in with a hint of hesitation. I'm not exactly excited to hold my stomach from expelling through my throat.

We don't fit into one cart. I sit in front of the cart that holds Josie and Tony.

The most appealing smell hits my nose, I think I recall it. Cherry Blossoms and Sweet Mint. My head whips to and fro, my eyes searching for my kitten.

"What's wrong Christian?" Josie asks but his loud squeal and the jolt of my body prevent me from answering him.

Seconds fly by in absolute terror. My body is plastered to the seat. My hands hold onto the metal bar with a death grip. The ride propels us forward at ridiculous speeds. I grit my teeth and bear down on my hold.

It's for Josie. Josie. Josie. Josie.

I repeat the mantra in my head. I'm not exactly ecstatic to watch the scenery swoosh by me so quickly.

The ride comes to an abrupt hold, suspending us is air. We stay upside down for too long.

"Christian. It's so fun." I glare at the little doll.

"He doesn't seem to enjoyyyyy." Tony's words are interrupted as we spin, twist and turn. My stomach does somersaults. I'm going to be disgusting shortly.

Everything passes in a blur. My head spins and my eyes water. I'm going to hurl. Yep.

A few more aerial turns and we slide towards the platform at a snails pace.

My head rests on the bar in front of me. If I could sweat, my shirt would be soaked.

"Christian. Sire, he looks pale." I would laugh, it's ironic. But, I can't move my facial muscles. I'm paralyzed by fear.

The hydraulics release, the sound of air pumping through the mechanics, alerts me.

I throw myself from the seat after fumbling to yank the fucking seat belt from around my waist. I stumble down the platform and all the way down the stairs. I push others out of the way and head for the nearest bush.

My legs feel too limber. I am not in any kind of shape.

"Christian. Come on. You will recover." Tony rubs my back. Josie frantically bounces on his heels. His hands dance in front of him before landing on his flushed cheeks.

"I'm sorry. Christian, I'm sorry." Josie's voice is saturated in fear.

"I'm okay. Just, move." I toss my guts into the bushes. There is nothing pretty or delicate about it. I expel all my stomach's content. I'm not made for acrobats.

"We can leave." Josie rubs his dainty palm across my shoulders.

"Nope. I'm good." I stand up and smile. Tony hands me a water. I rinse my mouth and pull a piece of gum from my bag that Josie hands to me.

"You look terrible Christian." Tony isn't being mean. He's finally observing.

"Yeah. I will live." I chuckle. Being immortal has some perks.

"Let's go look at animals." Josie grabs my hand and shifts us towards the tiger enclosure.

"Big Cats." I smile and point. Josie is already sprinting towards the little set up.

His eyes are wide. His smile is stunning. He's mesmerized.

"So beautiful." Josie pushes his hands against the rails and leans forward.

"Hey. No." I snatch Josie by his belt loop and hold him a little further back.

"It's okay. They won't hurt me." Josie shakes his head and stares intently.

"That's your ideology. I'm not willing to risk it." I wrap my arms around his waist and stand closely with him.

He is right. They are majestic and gorgeous.

I watch with trained eyes. Their gates are almost fluid. The way they move is captivating.

A loud, familiar chuffle catches my attention. Suddenly I'm not holding Josie. My feet are carrying me closer to the sound.

The scent lures me away.
