I am Rydia Kasumi I'm a human in appearence but I'm not normal. I'm a wolf and my best guy friend ever, Allen, is too. Allen is the greatest guy I have ever met. I have had a major crush on him since I met him 5 years ago. He will never love me though, I'm not good enough for him. I don't think he will ever notice a girl like me...

     Allen and I are sitting in class. I didn't do my homework again, this isn't new for me. We are only in 8th grade.. I know that's too young to be "in love" but my wolf knows what she wants, and she wants him.

     He looks at me, "Hey Rydia, did you do the homework?"

     I shake my head, "when do I?"

     We laugh and our teacher calls on me, "Rydia, did you come prepared today?"

     I look over at Allen he is scribbling something on his paper.

     I look up at the teacher, I'm about to answer when he looks at Allen, "Allen Martin what do you have there?" He sounds angry.

     He grabs the paper and looks at the name on top, "oh trying to steal Rydia's work I see, well that doesn't work in this classroom, you get a zero for this homework assignment. I'm sorry about your friend's behavior today."

     After he walked away I looked at Allen, "What did you do?"

     He shrugs and smiles at me, "I just erased my name and put yours on it."

     I punch his arm lightly, "Don't do that for me again. I always pass all our tests."

     We listen to out teacher lecture for a good 20 minutes about how you should always do your homework. I held back giggles as Allen mocked him when he wasn't looking. After he finishes talking we just talk the rest of the hour quietly. Allen and I talk about nothing like usual. When the bell rings I walk out the door eager to get to my bus.

     I sit alone today and my wolf, Pine, decides to remind me again that she wants Allen to. be our mate.

     You know you want hime to be ours too. I see the way you look at him just make a move. please.

      I silence her, "He knows how I feel and he ignores that otherwise...He would be mine."

     She submits because she knows this to be true. We can both tell so I just settle with thinking about what dating him might be like. After all, that would still be awkward, he's my best friend... I close my eyes and think about my day and the homework I have that I probably won't do.
