Finally Meghna reached her new office compound, she didn't know why was she feeling nervous, was it because of joining a new job or was it because she was going to face Aditya....

her thoughts were disturbed by a loud horn of a car..she turned with annoyance.. she wasn't blocking the way then why was the driver banging the horn...her anger just crept away when her eyes fell on a ever smiling face which she would have loved to see every day. ..yes you guessed it right it was Aditya..

smiling she went near the parking lot...Aditya got out of the car, and started walking towards Meghna. As they reached infront of each other their heart beat just lost count, they just stared at each other. They didn't know what to do so they wished each other a courtesy hello and a good morning.

Aditya then offered Meghna his help to reach her immediate boss and Aditya's manager Ms.Garima. Then he politely took her leave and disappeared inside his cabin.

They couldn't believe it they couldn't talk to each other..how were they going to face each other everyday.

Meghna was alloted her desk and work. And she instantly hated her destiny her cubicle was infront of Aditya's cabin whenever the door would open both of them could see each other clearly. They were losing it ever time the door opened both would look at each other and smile...their hearts were out of control whenever one would look at other they certainly lost their heart beat..

Oh god this was unbearable

Meghna thought to herself. As it was a busy day till lunch Aditya's cabin door was hardly closed for 15mins some or the other person would be called in his cabin.

As Meghna was filing some papers her colleague karishma sitting right next to her was called inside Aditya's cabin.

Karishma knocked on Aditya's door and went inside listening his come in..As the door opened his eyes searched Meghna and seeing her,a smile crept on his face. Karishma asked the reason he called her in his cabin. Aditya went blank he didn't know why was he calling his employees in his cabin he just wanted the damn door to open so that he could just get once glance at Meghna. Every time he called someone inside his cabin he would ask them to do some silly works like calling clients for feedback..when they had customer service dept. separately...now he wasn't left with much excuses. Then a idea strikes him..he tells karishma

"the three new employees may not know that its lunch time...and the others don't know them so tell everybody to assemble in canteen for lunch today we will have our lunch together so that the new ones could know everybody..."

karishma then left his cabin..and joined everybody who were getting ready for their lunch break she conveyed Aditya's message and everybody assembled in the cafeteria.

Then after everybody arrived, Aditya asked everybody to formally introduce themselves. Then it was Meghna's turn

"hii everyone my name is Meghna I am a CA and joined your oh sorry our company as a financial advisor...I like reading books and listening to music...I am looking forward for working for this firm..and thanks everyone for warmly welcoming us..." Aditya was enjoying this she was infront him and nobody would mind him staring her right now. There were two reasons for which he assembled everybody one he wanted to see Meghna once without any interruption and second he knew Meghna was not prone to get along with new people easily so he wanted to help her easy out a bit.

After lunch everybody left. Meghna walked towards Aditya who was talking to his manager Ms. Garima. He noticed Meghna coming towards him and he quickly sent Garima away so he could talk to her privately.

Meghna stood next to him again the silence crept between them. Then Meghna mustered some courage and spoke

"thanks.."

he raised his eyebrows questioningly. She then continued

"for this introduction session"

Then he smiled at her and just replied welcome and they both went back to their work. This was certainly awkward. Looking at each other was a different thing and talking to each other was different.

At 6.30 Ms. Garima informed Meghna that she could leave. She packed her things and just couldn't walk out. She wanted to say bye to Aditya but there were people around her how was she going to explain it to them. So she silently walked towards the elevator.

After informing Meghna Garima informed other newbies and then went to Aditya's cabin. As Aditya's cabin door opened his eyes searched Meghna and when he couldn't see her his smile dropped. Garima entered his cabin and was explaining his schedule for the next day, he was not listening to it, he just couldn't control his anxiety he asked Garima

"where are the new employees did they already leave?"

when he received a positive reply from her he stood from his seat and collected his his things and said

"I am actually late so could you please mail me the schedule please..bye " without waiting for her reply he made a mad rush towards his car. As he started his car he saw Meghna and felt a sigh of relief.

Meghna was about to get out of the office compound when she heard a horn and turned around knowing well who it was. Aditya halted his car next to Meghna and lowered the passenger window and nervously said

"hey..would you like to give me company actually I don't have my friend today to accompany me and I don't like to drive alone so will you come I will drop you home" he felt ridiculous he didn't even think he sounded so desperate and what would he do the next day because he didn't have a friend who accompanied him..he surely messed it up...

Meghna was stunned was he really offering her a drive home..didn't he realizes that it would be a awkward 2 hr drive to their homes. She wanted to turn down the offer but looking at his hopeful face she couldn't deny and opened the passenger door and got inside.

Aditya couldn't believe his fortune she was in his car and they were together for the next two hours all alone. His heart jumped in happiness. The ride home was awkward none of them spoke ..only casual talks like how nice view, horrible traffic etc. was going on..Finally they reached near Meghna's house...she got out of the car and thanked him for the drive.

She was about to turn when he called her

"Meghna..can we become friends? I know it's difficult to converse with each other..we are going to face each other everyday so lets be friends..and just easy out this unwanted stress between us..what say?" saying this he moved his hand forward for a handshake..

Meghna thought for a while he was right it was not possible for them to move forward..without letting go their past few days..so she hesitantly moved her hand forward for the handshake....as their hands met electric current ran through them...the only thought they had was,

is being friends a good idea????

I will try and write the next chapter better than this...
