Check out the media, its your invite for Meghna and Aditya's sangeet ceremony on 19th December,2014.

And now..let's begin with her Mehndi ceremony!!

Meghna was tossing and turning in her bed. She tried hard to close her eyes and waited for sleep to consume her again. But tough luck. The excitement for her wedding had taken her sleep away.

Today was the first ceremony of her wedding i.e her

Mehndi Ceremony.

Meghna finally took her phone below the pillow and checked the time as it was still dark outside she couldn't guess the time.

She sighed loudly realising it was just 5am in the morning. She knew nobody would be up this early as everyone in their house except her had slept pretty late due to all the preparations.

She was sent off to take rest by her aunts saying it was her day and she must be all fresh and energetic for enjoying it.

Meghna decided to get up but as soon as she sat she realised she would never be able to reach the washroom because all her cousins were sleeping around her bed on the floor.

Meghna sighed and again flopped on the bed.

After and hour or so her Dadi walked in her room and asked all the girls to get ready as Meghna's Mehndi designer would be coming in an hour and before that they had to take care of the other rituals as well.

Around 8 am everybody had their breakfast and made the final arrangements for the ceremony.

Finally Supriya along with shruthi, sakshi and Aditya's aunts arrived at Meghna's house with the Mehndi.

After a few minutes the mehndi designers also arrived.

Sakshi enthusiastically said

"So let's start with the Mehndi ceremony...okay..I know everyone is curious that why are we applying Mehndi to Meghna in the morning when the actual ceremony is planned in the evening.

So the reason is

It will take atleast 5 hours to design Meghna's bridal mehndi and if we start with that in the evening then she will have to sit idle during the ceremony and she will get bored and if we drag her for some dance or something her mehndi would get spoilt, So we have decide that the rituals will take place in the morning and all the family members will apply mehndi right now so that till evening it will dry out and we all can enjoy the ceremony freely without worrying about the mehndi being wet.

All the guests will apply mehndi and will enjoy our performances."

Everybody appreciated sakshi's thoughtfulness but one of Meghna's younger cousins who were like 12 years odd said

"This is not fair...in serials and all they apply it with the songs being played and all..it so boring right now"

Everyone laughed at their cribbing and asked them to wait till evening for the performances.

Finally Aditya and Meghna's mothers did Meghna's tilak and Aarti and placed a dupatta (veil) over her head.

After that each married women did her tilak and aarti.

Then Aditya's and Meghna's mother placed betal leaf on Meghna's each palm and applied mehndi on it. And all the married women followed their suit.

Suddenly one of Meghna's cousins spoke out of nowhere

"Dadi why are we applying mehndi on a betal leaf and not on Meghna's hand?"

Dadi smiled at her and said

"Beta actually earlier we used to apply it on the bride's palm itself at that time there weren't mehndi designers and all. But now the designer does excellent mehndi's and if we apply it on the her palm it won't go with the design of her mehndi so we use a betal leaf."

Everyone smiled at the thoughts behind each ritual.

Finally after the rituals 2 of the mehndi designers took Meghna towards her room and made her sit comfortably and started applying her mehndi.

In the living room other 3 designers started applying mehndi to the ladies.

At around 1.30 pm Meghna's mehndi was completed.

She carefully walked towards the living room and was surprised to see that her mother and supriya were the ones applying the mehndi.

Seeing meghna all her cousins ran towards her to see her mehndi design as they were not allowed to enter Meghna's room by the elders as they had fear that the cousins would distract meghna and would spoil her mehndi. They were about to reach her when dadi stood between them and Meghna and said

"Girls carefully don't spoil her mehndi okay!!"

"Okay"

They all sang in unison.

Dadi moved asidw and they all hovered over Meghna.

Meghna stretched her hands so that they could see properly.

Everybody praised her mehndi and teased her over Aditya's name in her Mehndi. They all tried to find it but failed miserably and meghna laughed at their expense.

Finally Sakshi glared at Meghna and said

"Aare abhi toh bata kaha hai bhai ka naam...ya likhwaya hi nahi toone...aisa kaise ho sakta hai ki humese kisi ko bhi nahi mila naam??"(comeon now tell us..where have you written bhai's name..or have you avoided writing his name. Because how is it possible that all of us couldn't find it?)

Meghna sighed and asked for a small mirror and held it across her palm and pointed at the centre circle. The design was small and intricate. She placed her index finger on a design and said

"Read the alternate alphabet in the mirror!!"

Sakshi read it loud

"A D I T Y A"

Meghna smiled at her and said

"Now read the other alphabets which you left in the reverse order..sameway in the alternate manner

Sakshi proudly patted Meghna's back and read

"M E G H N A"

everybody praised the designer for such and intricate and awesome design.

( If you are confused that how was it written then it was written like this...AADNIHTGYEAM *mirror image*)

After that the girls left her alone. But a new problem had arised as all the women had to apply mehndi they had their lunch before itself but as meghna was busy with the mehndi designer they had decided that she would feed her later but now their hands were filled with mehndi

Meghna's mother said

"Don't worry I will wash my mehndi and I will feed her"

Meghna was about to protest when her father walked in with lunch and sat next to Meghna and said

"Don't worry today I will feed my daughter. As a revival of her childhood memories"

Meghna's father took a morsel of rice and fed her and as soon as she ate it a tear rolled down from both of their eyes.

In the evening Meghna was busy staring at her Mehndi when Nisha and Mansi entered her room and dragged her to the washroom asking her to get freshen up as the make up artist was going to arrive in next 15 minutes for doing her make up for the mehndi ceremony.

Meghna walked out of the restroom wearing her outfit for the Mehndi ceremony it was a blue lehenga choli with golden work on it..it was beautiful accompanied with a Pink dupatta.

Nisha and Mansi were awestruck looking at her. Nisha blew a wolf whistle looking at her. Meghna giggled at it and sat in front of the dressing table where the make up artist transformed her from a beautiful girl to a beautiful would-be-bride.

The mehndi ceremony was to be held at a near by hall. All of Aditya and Meghna's friends, relatives and colleagues were invited.

At 6 pm all gathered in the hall.

As soon as Meghna entered the hall Aditya was awestruck looking at her.

Meghna couldn't take Aditya's stare and just lowered her eyes. He himself was looking awesome in his Navy blue colour kurta.

Their family greeted each other and took their places.

Aditya and Meghna sat in the centre of the crowd. Aditya awas about to speak to Meghna when

Sakshi and Rohan went up the stage and

Sakshi started

"Welcome everyone..we are glad that you all are here to be a part of our happiness. And for blessing Meghna. Today..Meghna has officially became a would be bride...kyunki ab toh woh mere bhai ke rang me rang chuki hai(because she is now colored in my brother's love) (referring to the mehndi color)

Meghna blushed at it and then they started with the performances.

"So now here is a welcome dance by Meghna's cute lil cousins"

All her young cousins and nieces who were around 10 years of age walked on stage and then the song was played

Kesariya balam aaoji..

Padharo mhare des..desri

Padharo mhare des..

Everyone applauded for their performance and then Rohan came up and announced thw next performance which was by sakshi, nisha and mansi

Mehndi rachan lagi haatha mein bande de naam ri..

Aayi shubh ghadi dekho

Mhare aangan aaji ri..

After their performance meghna's mom and aditya 's mom walked on stage and with aditya and meghna's aunties and they performed on

Bano Ki Mehndi Kya Kehna

Bano Lage Hai Phoolon Ka Gehna

Bano Ki Aankhen Kajrari

Bano Lage Sabse Pyaari

Bano Pe Jaaon Main Vaari Vaari

After the performance meghna walked on stage and hugged them all.

After their performance it was meghna's friends who rocked the stage..

Dekho mehndi lagi lagi..

Dekho dulhan saji saji..

Yeh..mehndi...haan..mehndi.

Pyaar ka rang dekhaegi..

Jab haathon me rach rach jaegi...

Meghna was dragged on stage by her friends and then they danced along with the song.

The crowd roared with claps.

As soon as the descended the stage Aditya suddenly stood walked towards the stage and whispered something to Sakshi and then the lights went of...

Then the song started playing

Mehndi lagake rakhna doli saaja ke rakhna lene tujhe oh..gori aaenge rere sajnaaa..

Aditya dragged Meghna on the stage and theb they both performed the whole song. And then at the end their friends and cousins and other family members joined them on stage. As everyone was busy dancing aditya dragged meghna to a secluded place.

Meghna was about to ask him why they were here when Asitya suddenly pinned her between the wall and himself and said

"You are looking awesome but the color of your mehndi which is because of my love is making you look for gorgeous"
