Aditya's parents arrived at meghna's house..for fixing a date for aditya and meghna's engagement.

Meghna's parents warmly welcomed them...meghna's family was so relieved that kasturiji had left this afternoon.

Never in their life they wanted to get rid of a guest...India is a country were guests are treated as god..but her actions had caused a lot of problems. So they were better off without her.

Aditya's and meghna's parents had a heart to heart talk.

In the span of five years of sakshi and meghna's friendship their parents also had been in touch...not as bffs or anything but surely good friends..

They all were waiting for Aditya and meghna to arrive so that the date could be fixed.

They all knew about adi and meghna's fight last night though not details but could surely feel the tension.

But the morning incident were both of them so desperately were is search of each other..kind of gave them relief that by now they would have resolved their problem.

After half an hour Aditya and Meghna walked through the door holding hands and giving each other all lovey dovey looks.

The whole clan of elders left a sigh of relief.

Meghna's dadi was first one too speak..she cleared her throat and mischievously said

" we all are here...some people should try and acknowledge our presence as well"

Meghna rolled her eyes and immediately pulled her hand away from aditya and said

"Dadi!!!"

"Finally you realised we are here..... the way both of you were looking at each other..I thought I would be a great grandmother any time soon" saying this she winked looking at meghna and aditya.

All sets of eyes turned towards her and gasped..

"Omg ma please..control..our samdhi's are here..what are they going to think.."

Meghna's father whispered to his mother..

But Aditya's father started laughing and said

" I think we must skip the engagement and just get them married asap.."

Everybody started laughing except meghna and aditya.

Meghna at that moment found her carpet design very interesting. Her cheeks were on fire..teasing by friends was different and teasing by parents was very....ah..embarrassing...

Aditya first time ever in his life regretted that his family was opened minded.

After that embarrassing encounter..their mothers controlled the whole situation and brought them back to the main topic..

Meghna's mother said

" we were actually going to call you today morning to discuss about their engagement..but coincidentally you called for the same thing.."

Aditya's mother nervously smiled and said

"We were so involved in sakshi's wedding and then shruthi's family had come over for the first time after their wedding that we kind of forgot about their engagement. Meghna has become a undivided part of our family that I sometimes forget that she still has to be officially be my daughter. "

At which meghna's parents nodded in understanding and warmth that their daughter had already become a part of others life.

Aditya's father suddenly spoke

" we hope you don't mind that we insisted to decide a engagement date without asking panditji"

Meghna's father smiled at him and said

" yes we agree with you completely...when both our children have found their right partners and are happy..then the day which would make them more happy has to be lucky..so there is absolutely no need to ask panditji whether the date is good or bad..if it is not good..their happiness will make it a good day.."

All of them smiled and discussed about the dates..

After half an hour of discussion the date was decided..they would be getting engaged in 2 weeks time.

The details regarding the ceremony were decided it was going to be a not so grand engagement according to their parents.. (rolling my eyes...seriously) 150 guests..a banquet hall..a long list of delicacies...was a not so grand ceremony for their parents... aditya and meghna absolutely had no say in it..after all they were indian parents...they plan for their child's marriage before he or she is even born...lol

After all the tiring discussion they all had dinner at meghna's house and left after yet another teasing session for aditya and meghna.

Meghna's mother was in full form after meghna's inlaws left..she dragged meghna to her (meghna's mother's) room and started showing her the jewellery she had

" Meghna you decide which jewellery you want to wear on your engagement we would get it polished..they all are passed from one generation to other..they have our ancenstors blessings...and don't worry you also take a new set as well so it won't be all classic stuff..it would be trendy as well.."

Meghna gaped at her mother's excitement.

Suddenly meghna noticed something in her mother's cupboard and walked towards it...she pulled that thing out and said

" mumma this is your wedding saree right??"

Her mother nostalgically smiled and said

" yes it is"

Meghna smiled at her mother and a strange idea struck her mind

" I guess its not dry cleaned for such a long time...I think we must dry clean it..otherwise it may get damage.."

" yes you are right..do one thing tomorrow while leaving for office..drop it off at the laundry"

Meghna nodded in agreement. After deciding the jewellery meghna left for her room.

Next day meghna was near her front gate waiting for aditya to arrive so that they could go to office.

Aditya arrived in a few minutes. As meghna settled in the passenger seat. Aditya noticed the bag in meghna's hand and enquired

"Whats in the bag?"

"Oh this..its my mom's wedding saree..actually I wanted to drop it off in the laundry for dry cleaning but the laundry near our house is closed for few days..so I thought I would drop it off in the laundry near our office..its renowned one.."

"Whats with women and their attachment with things? My mother also has her wedding saree locked in a cupboard as if its some kind of treasure"

Meghna just ignored his comment..because a strange plan cooked inside her..brain.. (keep thinking whats it..you will come to know about it soon..)

A few days later(on the day of umesh's wedding)

Meghna was admiring herself in mirror...she had a worn a purple designer saree with a simple but elegant diamond earrings and neck piece. She was not really comfortable with the saree but Aditya had once said that his friends were a bit modern. Firstly she had decided to wear a silk saree but then it would be so-not-in-fashion thing so she wore the purple designer saree with a sleeveless blouse but as she was not comfortable wearing it..she immediately changed into a beautiful silver mega sleeve blouse...which she was admiring at this moment.

She was brought out of her haze by her ringing phone. Sakshi was the person calling. Before meghna could greet her sakshi rambled

"Meghs come to mom dad's house immediately there is an emergency"

Meghna went pale..she made a mad rush towards the door and just within 20 minutes she was at Aditya's door step waiting for someone to open the door.

As the door opened meghna pushed the person aside and searched frantically for some kind of problem. But everything felt normal..so she turned towards the person who opened the door for her.

Aditya stood there leaning on the door frame for meghna to explain her frantic entry.

"Whats the emergency? ?"

Meghna asked between her ragged breathing..

Aditya gave her a worried look and asked

"What do you mean by emergency? "

" sakshi called me and asked me to come here because..of some emerg...."

She was cut off by a frantic looking sakshi..

" thank god you are here..come help me..I just can't decide what to wear.."

She held meghna's hand and started dragging her towards her room. Meghna didn't budge and pulled her hand away.

Sakshi turned around irritated..

"Sakshi..you called a confusing attire selection a emergency??really..you all most gave me a heart attack or rather killed a person on road with the way I drived till here..what were you thinking while doing this??"

Sakshi guiltily looked at meghna and said

"Sorry I didn't think you would get serious about this?"

Meghna just a took a deep breathe and said..

"Please don't ever do this.."

Aditya came near her and gave a glass of cold water. Meghna took it and gulped it down in one shot.

"See I told you friendship with my sister is dangerous...you should really rethink about continuing it.."

Aditya said to lighten up the mood..he didn't interfere in between earlier as it was a banter between friends..but he really felt bad for meghna because looking at her he knew..how stressed she was.

Sakshi glared at Aditya and said

"You don't mean it bhai..because..if thats the case you both would not be together..don't forget..my friendship with her is the reason you both are together..."

Sakshi's in laws had went to rohan's native place for some wedding. So sakshi and rohan were staying at sakshi's house for some days as sakshi was missing her family alot.

After a while..meghna and shruthi helped sakshi get ready. As supriya was out doing shopping sakshi ate meghna's and shruthi's brains for getting ready. Finally Sakshi wore a while designer saree..with silver work on it..

Shruti suddenly said

"Sakshi you know mom's white pearl necklace..it would look awesome with it.."

"Hey ya shruthi..I guess you are right..do you know where it is it?"

"Ya its in mom's cupboard..lets just go and get it...here"

She handed her the cupboard keys and said

"Take this keys the necklace is in the locker..you take it..I will go munch on something I am really hungry.."

Sakshi laughed at shruthi's desperately hungry face.

Sakshi and meghna walked towards sakshi's mother' room..when sakshi was busy searching the necklace..meghna casually asked

"Sakshi which one of these is your mother's wedding saree I never saw it..aditya said..its a very beautiful one.."

Sakshi found the necklace and wore it and then pulled out a saree and said

" see this is the saree..actually mom wanted me to wear it once but I don't like..even she asked shruthi to wear it once but she also refused subtly saying she would ruin it..but I know she also feels it old fashioned"

Meghna said

" sakshi its old but .."

She was cut off by rohan

"Sakshi mom is on phone and is asking you, if you want any special thing in lunch tomorrow"

Sakshi left..asking meghna to keep the saree inside and lock it..

Meghna locked the cupboard but didn't keep the saree inside..

Meghna closed her eyes and said

"Please forgive me mom.."

Meghna placed the saree in a bag and placed it near her car keys in the living room luckily nobody had seen her.

She walked towards aditya's room and knocked.

Aditya opened the door and moved aside to let her in.

"Meghna how many times do I have to tell you not to knock..its going to be your room as well so.."

Meghna walked towards him and said

"GOING TO BE...not yet Mr."

Aditya held her hand and pulled her towards him...and teasingly said

"You could make it yours now itself"

Saying this he leaned towards her. Meghna pushed him away..and said

"Patience...Mr. Impatient..

So..I was here to tell you that I am going home to get my clutch and sandals and drop my car home...because of your sister I couldn't get my stuff so I will head back home you pick me up on your way.."

"Oh..so when she does something stupid she is my sister and when she acts smartly she is your friend...nice"

Meghna laughed at his pouting face and said

"Adi seriously I will leave right now get me in half an hour okay..bye"

Adi was about to escort her to the door but she stopped him

"Adi you get ready..I will go.."

Meghna informed shruthi, sakshi and rohan and left.

Luckily all three of them were busy eating ice cream so nobody noticed the bag in her hand.

After an hour Aditya and Meghna, Rohan and sakshi were talking to their friends at the wedding reception when suddenly a girl came from no where and hugged Aditya. Aditya looked uncomfortable but just gave her a side hug.

Meghna's face went from shock, to disbelief, to outrage..she just wanted the girls hands off Aditya...she just wanted to go there and rip the girl away from Aditya.

Meghna felt....aww..just..simply JEALOUS...

Sakshi who was observing meghna closely said

"Hey..agar ek khoon maaf hota toh abtak..Niharika ke photo pe haar chad chuka hota.."(if one murder was forgiven then Niharika would be dead by now)

Meghna glared at sakshi..

Sakshi knew right now her joke were not going to calm meghna down so she said

"Hey meghs she is Niharika..bhai's classmate..she is complete despo..she flirts with everybody..and now everybody in their group is married or engaged except her and bhai..so she is hitting on him..bhai doesn't have a ring you see.."

Meghna was going to say something when Aditya called out for meghna..

Meghna reluctantly walked towards him.

As soon as she stood near him, aditya snaked a hand around her waist and said

"Niharika meet my would be fiancé Meghna...and Meghna she is niharika"

Niharika just forcefully smiled at meghna and was about to say something when Aditya's friends called him..he excused himself from the ladies and went towards his friends.

Niharika evilly smiled and said

"Hey meghna you know..if you need any help about adi always feel free to ask me..you see we were..close friends.." stressing on Close..

Meghna understood her not so decent help and said

"But I think..my first hand experience would be handy..don't you think.." she said winking at niharika..

Niharika just rolled her eyes and walked away. Aditya came from no where and held meghna's hand.

" so my junglibilli.."

"What??" Meghna asked him glaring at him.

"Oh..no I thought I had a first hand experience with you...and from the way you went all jealous...I thought you would be a wildcat.."

"Hahaha..very...funny"

Meghna replied sarcastically.

All four of them returned late at night.

A week before their engagement.

As they reached office Aditya and Meghna had to drown themselves in work, because their parents had already ordered them to take leave for a week at least. All the preparations were done from ring to dinner arrangements. Invitations had been sent.Only few small things had too be done. Their parents wanted them to take a break from their work for a few days.

But Aditya and Meghna had decided that meghna would be on a leave for a week and he would be taking only 3 days off because he had very important meetings all lined up in this week.

They both were busy discussing a project when Garima knocked and walked in..

"Hey AK you have a lunch date at 1.30am you need to leave now to be there on time"

"Lunch date..."

Aditya and meghna shouted simultaneously...but Aditya in shock and meghna in outrage.

Garima laughed at their reaction and said

"Actually Supriya mam has booked a table for both you..at Hotel Moonlight. "

"Ohh.." they nodded in embarrassment.

They had an romantic lunch..as the restaurant was near by they had walked till there.

On there way Meghna went to that laundry to ask for the sarees. The shopkeeper said that the sarees were not ready yet so she will have to get it tomorrow.

Aditya saw Meghna walking towarda him with a disappointed face.

"Hey what's up??"

"Adi the sarees are not yet ready.. and from tomorrow I am on leave..I will have to travel all the way here to collect it"

"Hey don't worry..I will get it for you tomorrow"

"Okay but promise me you won't open the bags"

Aditya eyed her suspiciously and said

"Okay but what will I get in return.."

Saying this he held her hand.

Meghna pulled her hand away and said

"OMG!!Adi plz behave your self we are on a street.."

Adi mischievously said

"So lets get back to office then..asap"

Meghna just glared at him and walked with him.

At they both were waiting for the elevator Aditya held meghna's hand. Meghna knew he was just doing it to rile her up.

Aditya was busy caressing meghna's palm when meghna noticed the elevator had arrived uptil 1st floor meaning it would be down any minute.

Right before the elevator could open meghna turned around and said

"Mr. Shah nice to see you here"

Aditya frantically left meghna's hand and turned around.

He didn't want his clients to have a bad image of his and meghna's relationship.

At that precise minute when he turned the elevator door opened.

Meghna stepped inside the elevator and pressed the button for closing the door.

Before aditya could understand what was happening meghna was inside the closing elevator..sticking a tongue out at him.

Aditya ran his hand through his black hair.

And thought to himself

Meghna I will get you for this.

After Aditya reached his office..meghna was no were in sight so he called garima and asked

"Garima..have you seen meghna"

Garima gave him a questioning look and said

"She went with you right then how will I know where she is?"

Aditya just left. He didn't want to argue with anybody right know.

After an hour meghna and aditya had a meeting with the clients. During the meeting Meghna avoided eye contact with Aditya..she knew he woukd just get her for doing the elevator thing with him.

After an two hour long meeting the clients left.

Meghna was about to leave with the clients when aditya said

"Ms. Meghna just a minute"

Garima escorted the clients to the exit.

As the clients left meghna wanted to run away..as she turned around Aditya held her hand and pulled her towards him and leaned towards her when he was about to peck her cheek..

Aditya's phone started vibrating he reluctantly pulled away from meghna but held her hand firmly.

He received the call without looking at the caller id.

"Hello bhai..please come soon there is an emergency...I have texted you the address"

Sakshi spoke almost loosing her composure.

Aditya laughed at her and said

"Sakshi I am not meghna...so stop your overacting and tell me what is the real reason?"

Sakshi started crying hearing his response..

Aditya had a sinking feeling.. and sakshi's next words turned his world upside down.

"I wish this was just a joke bhai..but it isn't....mom dad.....are"
