Meghna stormed inside her house and just walked past her family to her room and banged the bedroom door. She felt helpless at this point.

Never in her life she had lost her temper so badly. When she closed her eyes she could only see aditya's sad face. Then she laid face first on her bed and closed her eyes and went through the days events which caused her the outrage.

Flashback

Meghna entered her house after office.The day was a busy day, clients had called all day long. She was too tired but was excited at the same time on sunday she was going to meet Aditya's friends on his friend umesh's wedding. She had seen them in sakshi's wedding but as adi was busy she was not personally introduced to them. But on sunday she would meet them all.

As Meghna was arranging her office files, their door bell rang. Meghna quickly opened the door, her face broke into a huge smile..

" Dadi...welcome back..."

Saying this she hugged her ..

"Dadi..I missed you so much..how was your trip?...and how come your are early? Your were going to return on friday right? What happened ? Is everything alright?"

Her grandmother gave her hearty laugh and said

" meri maa pehle mujhe andar toh aane de...(oh..mother let me enter first..)

Meghna just smacked herself and moved aside..it was then she noticed her grandmother wasn't alone..she was accompanied by an older lady..who was nearly around her dadi's age..

" Meghna...she is my friend kasturi..she was with me on my tirthyatra..actually one of our co-passenger suffered an injury so he had to be brought back so we all decided we must also accompany him..actually kasturi stays in Belgaum..and she didn't get a ticket to Belgaum.and her son is right now out of town , he will return tomorrow morning..so he will pick her up on his way..so she will stay with us tonight"

Before Meghna could speak her father said

" Welcome back maa..you should have informed us we would have come to receive you.."

At which her grandmother' s friend spoke..

" vimla you are very lucky..you have such a lovely family..won't you introduce them to me"

Meghna's grandma smiled and said

" kasturi this is my son Viraj and his wife Rupal and she is my loving grand daughter Meghna"

All three of them walked towards kasturiji and took her blessings.

Then kasturi asked Meghna to sit near her

"So vimla any wedding plans for your poti (granddaughter)..".

Meghna blushed at the mention of her wedding and her grandma said

" yes kasturi her wedding has been fixed..His name is Aditya..Meghna works in his company itself. He is Meghna's best friend's elder brother. He is a very nice boy"

Kasturi ji made a sore face and said

" Oh..so its a love marriage..."

Looking at her disgusted expression meghna's face went pale.

Before she could continue further her dadi said

" oh..no...no..its an arranged marriage...Sakshi's mother asked for Meghna's hand in marriage."

Still kasturiji had a sore face and said

" kuch bhi ho bhale ghar ki ladkiyon ko istarah shaadi se pehle apne pati se roj roj milna shobha thodi deta hai"(still its not good for girls of well cultured family to meet her would-be- husband daily...)

Meghna stared at kasturiji in disbelief..was she for real...who was she to decide for her when her own family didn't object her..

Before meghna could protest her grandma said

" Oh..its not the same now a days..and however they are going to get engaged soon..."

Before Meghna's grandma could complete her sentence kasturi ji spoke

" he ram yani ki inki sagai bhi nahi hui aur ye milte hai....hai...bhagwan..vimla teri jagah meri poti hoti toh..mein toh uski naukri chodakar ghar baitha leti...kya pata..koi aisa kam karde ki hume pachtana pade..me toh kaihti hoon jald jald se jald sagai aur shadi dono niptade..

(oh my god..vimla if my granddaughter woukd been at her place I would have made her quit her job..god knows what she would do and bring shame to our family...according to me you should just get her married soon.)"

Till she completed her mini..anti women speech...meghna was fuming....she was shocked to know that still people like kasturiji existed in this world..she was about to answer her when her dadi eyed her and asked her to follow her to her room..Meghna immediately excused herself and went inside..

Meghna's grandma closed the door after meghna entered..

" Meghna please forgive me because of my friend you were humiliated inside your own house..."

Before she could continue meghna hugged her grandma and said

" Dadi please don't say sorry its not your fault..."

"Meghna I would have sent her off immediately but she is in need..we can't abandon her right now"

Meghna smiled at her and said

"Don't worry dadi..I understand...and thank you so much dadi"

Her grandmother gave her a questioning look

"Thanks for what?"

Meghna hugged her and said

" For being the world's best and coolest grandma"

As her grandmother was about to open the door Meghna's phone started ringing..

Kaun mera..mera kya tu lage..

Kyun tu bandhe mann se mann ke dhage..

Bas chale na kyun mera tere aage..

Meghna's grandma turned around and said

" Someone can't sleep without listening to your voice"

She winked at her and exited her room.

Meghna blushed at it..everybody at her house knew that this ring tone was for Aditya's call..

Meghna was not in an mood to talk to Aditya because she was still fuming over kasturiji's words but she felt..talking to him would reduce her stress so she received the call

" Hey handsome whats it?"

" Hi meghna"

Aditya replied blankly..

Meghna could read his blank tone so she worriedly asked

"Adi whats the matter"

"Meghna I don't know..I am just so confused can we meet somewhere I know we just got back from office together but please I need to talk to you right now"

Meghna knew something was really off with Aditya..he never insisted them meeting like this so she agreed.

Meghna agreed to meet Aditya but didn't take her parents permission so she immediately walked towards the living room and said

" mama papa...adi is little upset about something he wants to meet me right now can I go...I will be back in an hour..we are going to the park nwar our house.."

Meghna' s mother walked near her and said

" Meghna anything serious beta.?"

"Mama I don't know he said he wants to meet me..and he sounded upset and you he never insists on meeting at this time of the night..so I am really worried..can I go"

Meghna's father patted her back and said

"Ofcourse you can go.."

Before meghna could leave kasturiji came out of grandma's room

" he bhagwan kaise din aagae hai..ma baap hi bacho ko kuein me dhakel rahe hai.."

She turned towards Meghna's grandma and said

" Ya kya parvarish hai tumhare bacho ki..ek javan ladki itni raat gair ek ladke ae milne jarahi hai"

Meghna's grandma suppressed her anger and said

" she is not going to meet any random guys aditya is her would be fiance...and we trust our children and for the matter of fact its our family matter I don't like outsiders interfering in it.."

With that kasturiji turned around and furiously walked towards the guest room.

Meghna started crying

" Sorry all of you because of me...she insulted all of you...don't worry I will call adi..I won't go"

Meghna's dadi held Meghna's hand and said

" Meghna we trust you and we don't need to prove it to strangers...adi needs you right now..if it would have been some other reason I wouldn't have allowed you but he is upset and he needs his companion you must go...."

Meghna thanked her grandma and within 10 minutes she reached the park..

Meghna walked in and saw Aditya sitting on a bench holding his head in his hands..Meghna nervously walked towards him and she reached him he slowly placed a hand on his shoulder. Aditya slowly looked at her and said

" Thanks for coming meghna"

Meghna looked at him curiously he looked sad but his eyes had a sparkle in them..but she dusted that thought away thinking it was just her misconception because he really looked sad.

Meghna held his hand in her and asked

" what is bothering you adi?"

" Meghna I am going to be arrested"

Meghna's jaw dropped,her eyes almost bulged out of its sockets. She just stood up from her place.

"Aditya what are you talking about? "

" Meghna I am going to be imprisoned by a beautiful, kind , sweet, innocent...girl for rest of my life"

Meghna jusy stared at him..so he continued

"Meghna my parents are going to talk to mama and papa about our engagement, and then I will be imprisoned by your love for rest of my life"

Meghna was dumb found she didn't know how to react to this news..

She was brought out of her thoughts when adi held a piece of sweet infront of her. Meghna took the piece from his hand kept the sweet in the box kept on the bench besides them. And them she stared Aditya for a whole minute and then started walking past him.

Aditya tried to call out but she didnt turn..finally Aditya caught up with her and held her wrist and said

" stop it meghna stop acting..anyways my act was better then yours..just stop wasting your energy "

Meghna irritatedly said

" Aditya its not at all funny..you almost killed me..you know I can't see you upset.."

Meghna was so irritated by his act that the happiness about the engagement didn't get to her..a small tear rolled down her cheek..meghna closed her eyes and turned around so that Aditya couldn't see her vulnerable condition.

Aditya turned her around and hugged her

" Meghna I am extremely sorry..I was so excited about the news that I wanted to tell you personally and I didn't want to wait till morning..I knew you wouldn't come at this time of the night so I just..."

Meghna furiously interpreted

"Just what aditya..you thought you would scare me like this..it is such a great news but I am still not able to forget the fact that you made fun of my emotions..you just taken them for granted. ."

Saying this meghna turned around and walked away..without turning back..

She couldn't believe it Aditya called her midfle of the night to inform her about the engagement and played prank on her...because of which her parents were insulted..

Flashback ends..

Meghna opened her eyes...

Was it really wrong for adi to share his excitement with her...

Was it right on her part to take her frustration out on Aditya..the only thing he did was play a prank..was it that bad...

He didn't know that her parents would suffer due to this...

When her inner war resolved she could clearly see what went wrong..

Her parent's insult..didn't go well with her..but she couldn't take it out on kasturiji..and then Aditya's prank just triggered her suppressed anger..

When she realised her mistake..she could feel happiness and excitement which adi felt..for their engagement...which made meghna all the more guilty..

Finally meghna felt relieved.. With a resolve to apologise to Aditya, meghna slept with happy dreams about their engagement...
