Aditya returned from office and saw his parents excitedly discussing something, they were so busy they didn't even notice his arrival. It was when he called out to them they noticed him.

Aditya wanted to remind his parents about his and meghna's engagement which was delayed due to Sakshi's wedding and then due to shruthi's good news..his parents where so excited about being grandparents that they bought all of his, sumeet's and Sakshi's old clothes back from their old house.

Aditya was hesitant to start the topic because he felt he would be acting desperately and at the same time it was too embarrassing for him to talk to his parents about his engagement.

So he thought he would indirectly talk to them.he had an excellent excuse his friend umesh was getting married so he thought this was the right moment to talk to his parents about this.

Aditya hesitantly started

"Mom my friend umesh is getting married on sunday..and he has invited all of us... ahh... I was thinking to take meghna also with us...she has only met my friends once that to in rohan and Sakshi's wedding we both were so busy I didn't even personally introduced her to them...and all my friends would be there.."

Aditya's mother beamed with happiness

" aw..wow..its such a great news...but sorry adi..both me and your dad our busy that day.. your uncle Pradeep is coming to mumbai with his family..that to only for few hours as they are heading to goa for vacation so we are planning to visit them at the airport itself..so sorry we can't come but congratulate umesh on our behalf...and ofcourse you must take meghna with you..she is going to be your wife..."

Aditya gave her a blank look and said

" mom but you know we have not yet announced about our relationship so would it be okay to take her to a wedding..and you know umesh's mom she is a little bit old fashioned so do you think she won't mind me being with a girl.."

Aditya's mother said

" adi others opinion should never cloud your sensible mind..do you understand....and nonetheless we were planning to talk to all of you I.e you,meghna and her family about your and meghna's engagement so I don't think there's a problem for you to take your would-be-fiance with you.. "

Aditya grinned at his mother's words..he didn't know what to say..he was extremely happy..so he simply walked away to his room.

After reaching his room he called Meghna. Meghna on the third ring received the call

"Hey handsome whats it?"

" Hi meghna"

Aditya replied blankly..he wanted to inform her about the engagement immediately but thought to make some fun.

Meghna could read his blank tone so she worriedly asked

"Adi whats the matter"

Aditya didn't know what was he going to say because meghna could catch his lie easily so he just said

"Meghna I don't know..I am just so confused can we meet somewhere I know we just got back from office together but please I need to talk to you right now"

Meghna knew something was really off with Aditya..he never insisted them meeting like this so she agreed.

After about 20 minutes they met at a park near her house.

Aditya reached early with Meghna's favourite sweet and was waiting for her..as she entered the park, Aditya sat on a bench and made a sad face..when internally he was jumping from joy..

Meghna walked in and saw Aditya sitting on a bench holding his head in his hands..Meghna nervously walked towards him and she reached him he slowly placed a hand on his shoulder. Aditya slowly looked at her and said

" Thanks for coming meghna"

Meghna looked at him curiously he looked sad but his eyes had a sparkle in them..but she dusted that thought away thinking it was just her misconception because he really looked sad.

Meghna held his hand in her and asked

" what is bothering you adi?"

Aditya inwardly smiled meghna was still unable to catch his act so he continued..

" Meghna I am going to be arrested"

Meghna's jaw dropped,her eyes almost bulged out of its sockets. She just stood up from her place.

"Aditya what are you talking about? "

Aditya quickly replied because he couldn't see her panicked expression..

" Meghna I am going to be imprisoned by a beautiful, kind , sweet, innocent...girl for rest of my life"

Meghna jusy stared at him..so he continued

"Meghna my parents are going to talk to mama and papa about engagement, and then I will be imprisoned by your love for rest of my life"

Meghna was dumb found she didn't know how to react to this news..

She was brought out of her thoughts when adi held a piece of sweet infront of her. Meghna took the piece from his hand kept the sweet in the box kept on the bench besides them. And them she stared Aditya for a whole minute and then started walking past him.

Aditya tried to call out but she didnt turn..finally Aditya caught up with her and held her wrist and said mischievously

" stop it meghna stop acting..anyways my act was better then yours..just stop wasting your energy "

Meghna irritatedly said

" Aditya its not at all funny..you almost killed me..you know I can't see you upset.."

Meghna was so irritated by his act that the happiness about the engagement didn't get to her..a small tear rolled down her cheek..meghna closed her eyes and turned around so that Aditya couldn't see her vulnerable condition.

Aditya turned her around and hugged her

" Meghna I am extremely sorry..I was so excited about the news that I wanted to tell you personally and I didn't want to wait till morning..I knew you wouldn't come at this time of the night so I just..."

Meghna furiously interpreted

"Just what aditya..you thought you would scare me like this..it is such a great news but I am still not able to forget the fact that you made fun of my emotions..you just taken them for granted. ."

Saying this meghna turned around and walked away..without turning back..

Aditya stood there clueless of what just happened..he planned to surprise meghna by this great news and now she was upset with him but till he couldn't wrap his head around the fact what made meghna so upset..he was just joking..he had never seen her so furious before..

Aditya returned home..on his way home he distributed the sweets he had brought for meghna to some roadside kids Because he knew his parents would question him about it and right now he himself didn't know what went wrong in the span of 10 minutes.

Aditya's mother was getting ready for bed when she heard the main door opening so she walked towards the living room..aditya walked past her like a zombie.

Aditya's mother followed him to his room..she saw.. him sitting on the edge of the bed his elbow rested on his lap and face covered in his palms.

She slowly sat besides him and asked

" so young man something wrong? "

Aditya opened his eyes and said

"Mom...actually...ah.."

Aditya didn't know what to say..he himself was confused how was he going to explain it to his mother.

His mother patted his back and said

" Its okay adi I know sometimes you need to sort your problem yourself others are of no use..."

Saying this she walked away.

Aditya lied on the bed and analysed the whole scene again and again but couldn't get the point..of Meghna's anger...he slept of thinking about it..

Hey guys I stopped abruptly. But I am writing this chapter in two parts because..it was taking time to explain meghna's situation so I thought I will write her perception in the next chapter..

It will be updated within few hours or max to max tomorrow evening...
