CHAPTER ELEVEN: Coffee?
Note before reading: If the scenes feel rushed, that means that the book still needs to be revised after completion. As I said, feedback is highly appreciated if there are mistakes or anything that you want to let the author know. Lovelots! 💕

Eli couldn't help but give me a death glare as I only cheekily smiled. After that little trouble we got in, we both had agreed that I'd help him with his lyrics and at least make sure that our first meeting isn't too bad.
From that pizza delivery up until that paparazzi fiasco, I could assume he wanted to at least get something to eat downtown or even just take a break and get in touch with nature.
Since we were too trapped inside of our units, I told him that maybe we could go to the park, considering that we could probably get some coffee on the way.
Of course, knowing his trauma of getting bombarded by paparazzi again, I decided that I'll be the one to order this time.
So, apparently, on this trip – I'm more like his butler.
I couldn't help but sigh at this and look at the time on the clock that was on the desk. It was already 11 am and we have to get ready at 12 pm. I only got an hour left but I had already taken a bath and even dressed up.
Knowing where I plan to go, I decided to wear some comfy black and blue striped sweater. It's a bit oversized for me but I had to match it with sweatpants – just in case this guy decided to chase me or something. It's better to be safe anyway.
Pairing the look with Adidas 3-striped court bold shoes, I stared at myself in the mirror and smiled. "Well, you look nice today."
A crash came from next door and I could only roll my eyes. "Almost, Cia. You got this. This would be a nice day and no one would change it otherwise."
A knock came on my door, making me jump in shock. Eli suddenly barged in and I couldn't help but glare when he suddenly went to the living room and sat down on my sofa.
Wow, this guy looked like he's really comfortable even though I haven't even said he's welcome to make himself feel at home. The audacity. I couldn't seem to help but give him a look as he only grinned at me.
"Do you have any coffee stocked in the fridge?" he asked me as I only nodded but there was still a hint of hesitation when I actually went to the fridge and grabbed a packet. Certainly, a neighbor should knock, right?
I was about to ask him about it but he seems to be reading my mind already since he raised his hand in an attempt to stop me. "Look, if you think that I shouldn't come here in the first place, I could already say that you can help me with the lyrics. So, I think this would be a nice place to do so instead of going out."
"Let me guess," I started off while trying to find out his reason. "You got traumatized from what happened a few days ago."
"That's not true." He wanted to argue but then fell silent afterward. "It's just, I don't think that today's a great day to go outside."
"Heard it was going to rain," he continued and I only rolled my eyes.
Taking a coffee packet, I gave him a mug and a spoon before telling him that he can get some hot water on the electric kettle. I recently got coffee before I even got dressed up so I'm sure it was still hot.
When I finally looked back to see Eli, he was giving me a raised eyebrow. "What do you want me to do with this?"
"Make your own coffee. Don't you know how to stir one up?"
"You make your own coffee?" He couldn't help but ask but I already felt offended by that.
"What do you mean? You don't know how to?" His eyes widened and gave me a glare, standing up from the sofa and suddenly coming up to the table.
He then went next to me, grabbing the kettle and putting water on the cat-designed mug. "It's not that I don't know how to make coffee, I just expected you to have bottles of Starbucks – since you always take those whenever you go out."
"You're stalking me?"
"No, I always see you drinking at the park with your little laptop and writing. You're there every day."
My cheeks flushed red and looked away. "Well, I don't tend to buy it unless I'm writing outside. I can't imagine myself bringing my mug outside."
He only nods at me, finally stirring up his coffee and putting sugar on it. My eyes gazed upon his attire and I'm guessing he really wanted to go out but he was hesitant. He was wearing a brown coat, his hair was a bit messy since it hasn't been completely dry yet, and was wearing round glasses in his eyes.
At first glance, you'd think he's a journalist.
Smiling, I decided to break the tension. It seems he was too caught up with what happened at the restaurant so it was better if I could talk to him about it. "Since you seem all dressed up, why waste it? I got the perfect place where you can get inspiration on those lyrics."
"What are you up to right now?" Please, he sounds so done. Laughing, I tried punching his shoulder lightly but he moved away before I could even do so. Coughing in awkwardness, I only smiled right after.
"I got this writing spot and before you say that it might be crowded, it's not." Eli had seemed interested when I said that not most people visit the spot and it was silent and nature's the only thing in there.
"Not most people go there at this time of day so we might be able to write your lyrics and my book easily there." At first, he only drank his coffee and he doesn't seem to believe me. After a few tries, he gave up and told me to lead him there.
"I better not regret it."
"Oh, you won't, for sure."
