Scorpius:Dating
As I made my way to the Great Hall with Rose, with my hand in her's, I could hear all the gasps of people around us. Some people were whispering things to each other, probably about me and Rose, but I ignored it. Rose, on the other hand, got really nervous because of what people would think about her, so she let go of my hand and moved away from me. I looked at her straight in the eye but she quickly looked away and she started to walk away from me. I walked towards her and I tell her, "Rose, you don't have to worry about the people around us," she looks around at all the people watching us. "Scorp, these people are saying things about us! I don't want people to see me differently just because they know that you and I are--"
I interrupt her with a kiss. A nice, gentle kiss. She was shocked at first, but then she melts into it and kisses me back. The kiss wasn't long, though, since I didn't want to snog her on the first day of our fifth year, so I pulled away after five seconds.
"Dating." She finishes her sentence and I smile at her.
"Dating? We just went on dates but we aren't officially dating," I tell her and she giggles.
"Yeah, I guess we aren't--"
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
"What?"
The words come right out of my mouth. I've always wanted to ask her that question, but I thought maybe it was just too fast. We've only started going on dates three weeks ago and I think that it's still early, but I know my feelings for Rose. I think that it's about time I asked her.
"I said, will you be my girlfriend?" I smile at her and she looks at me, shocked.
"I..." She starts nervously. I held her hand and we both looked at it. We remain silent for a few moments, before Rose finally speaks up.
"Yes," she finally says and smiles at me.
I'm so happy that I carried her and spun her around, not minding all the people watching us.
"Alright, you two lovebirds. Get in here so the sorting ceremony can start and we can eat dinner later." Both me and Rose look over at the direction of the voice, and we both start laughing as we realize that it was Albus. I put Rose down slowly, and I hold her hand as we make our way into the Great Hall.
When we get into the Great Hall, Rose kisses me on the cheek and tells me that she'll be at the Gryffindor table, and I tell her, "See you."
I head towards the Slytherin table while Rose goes to the Gryffindor table. I take a seat in between Albus and another one of my friends, Randy.
"You took your time getting in here. What's up?" Randy asks me.
"He got a little busy with his girlfriend," Albus answers for me.
"WHAT?! You never told me you had a girlfriend!" He tells me with a little anger in his voice.
"Look, I'm sorry, okay? I just started going on dates with Rose three weeks ago, but she's only become my girlfriend earlier. It just hap--"
"ROSE?! ROSE WEASLEY IS YOU'RE GIRLFRIEND!" Randy shouts it out really loud that every student and teachers turn to look at us.
"Yeah, why? What's so wrong about that?" I answer calmly at him.
"First of all, she's a Gryffindor. Second, she's a Weasley, the enemy of your father. Third, I like her."
I just stare at him shocked. One of my friends likes my girlfriend. This can't be good.
"Hang on a second, you like Rose?" I ask him with the calmest voice I could do.
"Uh...yeah," he answers while scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Well, you know what? You're my friend, and I should respect you and whatever you do. My crush on Rose was fading away anyway," he admits to me.
"Oh, uh, thanks?" I tell him.
"Could both of you please shut up? The sorting ceremony's starting." Albus points at the first years who were staring at us, and me and Randy both nod.
A few minutes later, the sorting ceremony is finished, and our house, Slytherin, has a couple of new students and we have our dinner.
When we finished eating, we all head to the Slytherin common room, and Jenneth and I, as school prefects, assist all our new students. I show them how to get to our common room, and I was surprised by how easy it was to teach them because of how obedient they were. We get into the common room and I tell them where the boy's and girl's dormitories are. As soon as they all went to their dormitories, I go to the prefects bedroom while being followed closely by Jenneth.
"Scorpius, I'm sorry about what happened." She tells me from behind. I ignore her and she immediately loses her temper.
"What do you even see in her? I am much more pretty than her! I deserve you more than she does! She's a Weasley and you're a Malfoy! You're supposed to be enemies!" She shouts right at me. I turn around to face her and give her an angry glare.
"Oh, really? You deserve me more than she does? First of all, and remember this, Rose is nice and she isn't the kind of girl who wants to date me just because of my looks. And I know that you want me because of my looks and because I'm a Malfoy. You can't fool me, Jenneth! I don't date girls just because of their looks, they need to have a good personality. They have to date me because they like me for me and not for my looks and my last name. I have never dated anyone in my whole life because I just waited for one girl, and I mean ONE girl who I have feelings for and has feelings for me, too! So, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to bed because I have school tomorrow and I want to have a good reputation here at this school." She moves away from me and starts to cry, but I still stand my ground.
"Oh, please. Crying won't change my mind." I turn away from her and storm up the stairs and into the prefects bedroom. I head to the boy's bedroom and jump up on my bed.
"Why...why does it have to be hard for me to date Rose?" I say while burying my face onto my pillow. I stand up and go to the bathroom to take a shower and I change into my pajamas. Once again, I jump up on my bed and this time, I fall asleep.
