The next morning I had a free period, so I spent my time wandering through the halls and watching a bunch of confused first years trying to get to their classes. Of course, as a school prefect I helped some of them to get to their classes, and after a few minutes of helping the students, I could finally take a rest. Most of the time when I had a free period I would just go around roaming the castle or I would read a book somewhere. I was walking in an empty hall when I felt a hand take mine and pull me behind a wall. I was surprised at first but then I laughed as I saw who pulled me.

"I see you have a free period, too?" I ask Scorpius while smiling.

"Yeah. And the best part is, we're all alone. Just you and me," he tells me while smirking.

"What exactly do you mean by that?" I raise my eyebrows at him and he laughs.

"Relax, Rose. I just thought that we could hang out together. Kind of like a date," I blow air into my cheeks before saying, "Oh, sure. I guess that would be nice."

Scorpius drags me out of the wall and we start walking around again. He leads me out of the school and he brings me outside, then we make our way by the lake and I notice that there is a picnic cloth and a basket. Scorpius tells me to sit down onto the picnic cloth and he takes out a sandwich from the basket and gives it to me. He sits across from me, the basket being in between us. He takes out his own sandwich and we both start to eat it.

"So, what happened with Jenneth?" I ask him to break the silence between us and he nearly chokes out his food when I ask.

"Whoa, you okay? Sorry I had to bring that up as the subject of our conversation, but you know what happened between me and her last night and I know that you are both Slytherins and prefects." I pat his back gently.

"Well, last night she tried apologizing again but I ignored her so she lost her temper and said that she deserves me more than you do." He answers calmly and drinks a bottle of water that he took out from the basket.

I frown at him and say, "What did you tell her?"

"I told her that you were nice and you like me for me but she only likes my looks and I also told her that I had real feelings for you," he tells me while smiling.

"Thanks," I smile at him and he leans forward at me. I lean forward, too, and my eyes flickered closed, until...

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING? GET BACK TO YOUR CLASSES!" Both me and Scorpius look at the source of the voice and we both stand up quickly when we realize it was Filch.

"Sorry, Mr. Filch, um, we had a free period..." I tell him in a steady voice.

"Oh, so if you have a free period then you can just go around having a picnic and snogging?" He raises his eyebrows at us and I frown.

"Look, Mr. Filch, we are both school prefects and we have a free period, surely we could be allowed to have a picnic," Scorpius tries to explain to Filch, and he nods.

"Fine, you're just lucky you're both prefects. I don't even know why Mcgonagall chose you as a prefect, Malfoy," he points at Scorpius.

"Maybe it's because he saved the world by helping in defeating Voldemort's daughter." I smirk at him and he frowns, but he goes away anyway.

"You are the best girlfriend ever," he turns his head to look at me and I blush.

"And you are the best boyfriend ever," I tell him while smiling.

He leans forward and kisses me, and I kiss him back. We don't kiss for too long, so he pulled away just a few seconds later.

I never would have realized that I could ever like Scorpius. Or even date him. All these years I've been feeling hate for him, but now my feelings for him slowly changes. I really like him a lot, and he feels the same for me too. Not only does he look good on the outside, I can see that he has a great personality from the inside. He's a great guy, and I have a feeling that maybe this relationship would last.
