Sometimes I get so sad it's hard to breathe, so tell me how do you expect me to talk about my demons when they're sitting on my lungs.

Violet's POV

"Come on Violet you never want to do anything fun," Bella complains. "You're so boring," Livia states.

Honestly, they're going to be the death of me. They want me to go to some club for my 22nd birthday party, and I've been refusing for like an hour now. Clubs aren't my thing, the thought of being surrounded by a lot of people, loud music blaring and alcohol makes me want puke.

I don't like being in large crowds or being around people to be honest. My two crazy best friends are the only people I feel comfortable with.

"I told you already before it's not my thing, I don't want to go," I say and get up off the couch to get more noodles from the kitchen. We were having a girls night out in my apartment. Bella and Livia both roll their eyes at me.

We've been friends since middle school. Our fathers were best friends too but that's not what brought us together, one day I was being bullied by one of the kids in school, and they swooped in and saved me, we've been inseparable ever since. They are the only people I can be around without getting scared or feeling weird.

Bella and Livia been my only family since my dad was never around and my mom well she's a different story.

Bella is bubbly, she's always in a good mood, and when she wants something, she'll do absolutely anything to get it. Livia is an absolute pervert, she can turn anything into a dirty joke, and she's super protective of her friends. She's a wild spirit.

And then there's me the weird introvert. I'm your classic nerd with the big glasses and everything, the only thing interesting about me is my Violet colored eyes. I'm always paranoid and as you can probably tell I don't go out much.

I grab noodles and throw myself onto the couch next to Bella, "You always do this you lock yourself out, I miss the old Violet the one that has fun, smiles and laughs. I miss the Violet that wasn't afraid to live life," Bella says.

I love them, but they didn't understand what it felt like to be broken beyond repair, to feel alone and helpless. "Come Violet just this once please come have fun with us," Livia begs, making a puppy dog face.

"No," I say rolling my eyes. "Please Violet please," they both ask together. Why do I love them so much, "Okay fine, just please don't make me regret this," I say and grab a slice of pizza.

"Really!!" Livia exclaims. They both jump up and down and start singing. I can't help but laugh that their childish behavior, "You guys are children." "Yes but you looove us," Bella teases.

"Well you two you better get ready we're going dress shopping," Livia announces

Little did I know, that decision had changed my life forever.
