Asher's POV :
As soon as we surrounded the house I signaled Blake and Christian to go in. "Kiara, needs to be safe, she is our priority," I said through the Bluetooth. I heard my men nod at me. I burst the door open and find no one there. I looked at Blake and Christian who were on high alert to their guns ready to fire. When I heard rusling I turned to find a few men approaching us. I fired my gun at his knee and Christian and Blake took other men as I rushed to the basement.
"You seem to be here, quick," I heard his voice as I turned around to find Kiara strapped to the chair, duct tape on her mouth, hands and legs tied to the chair. Her eyes were glaring at the man. She had cried a lot. There were bruises on her hand and her thigh was bleeding. I growled taking a step forward towards her when I saw he was hoding a knife in hand.
He pulled her hair making her groan as he placed it against her neck. "You know one step and she dies Pheonix," he laughed. I stood there taking out my gun. "I dare you," I said as I felt someone press a gun against my back. "You think I only had five men?" he glared down at me. "Drop your gun, get on your fucking knees," he shouted. I refused and he took the duct tape out of her mouth making her groan again. "Don't you fucking drop your gun," she screamed at me.
"Look at that, Pheonix, at least she is stronger than your sister," he said pressing the knife enough to draw blood making her wince. I dropped the weapon. "Ash," she hissed at me. I couldn't, I couldn't look at her like that. She was in danger and if I had to go down on my knees in front of this bastard I would. "Drop to your knees," the man beside me said kicking me in the knees. I looked at Kiara who begged me not to. "You asshole, I swear to god, when Asher has you he is going to give you a slow traumatizing death," she glared at my father. "Father," I gritted through my teeth making her shocked. "Let her go," I warned. "What are you going to do? I have another gang supporting me they probably have your men surrounded by now," he chuckled. "What kind of sick fuck are you?" she screamed at him. Before I could register he slapped her right across her face.
"Kiara," I said making her look at me. She said silent still glaring at the man. "You know I love how well she listens," he chuckled. "What do you want," I barked at him. He shot me in the upper thigh making me fall to my knee. "What the fuck do you want?" I hissed at him. "Everything." "Your house, money, the gang, my wife," he said. "Don't fucking take mom's name you filthy fucking bastard," I shouted at him. I could hear the gunshots upstairs. It was a lot of people. I looked around at the 4 men rather than at him.
"Here's what's going to fucking happen Antonio, you are going to let her go and I let you walk out of here and give you a fucking chance to leave the country. You know you have fucking pissed me off, you make one wrong move and you die, all of you," I growled. One of the men behind him shuddered. Weak. I scoffed. "You know for someone with too much disadvantage right now, you fucking talk a lot," he said walking to me as e handed the knife that was against Kiara's neck to someone else.
She was staring at me. Tears streaming down her eyes. She was hurt. Her entire clothes were soaked with patches of blood everywhere. I gave her a small smile before signaling her to my leg. Her eyes widened in recognition and she nodded at me. As soon as Antonio was close enough I drew my knife slicing through his leg and took out my gun immediately shooting the guy behind Kiara and then the 3 other men. Antonio screamed as he took his gun aiming at me mine aimed at his. It took barely a second when his body fell to the floor and I felt the pain in my chest. The last thing I remember was Kiara was screaming my name.
Kiara's POV :
I sat in the hospital bed as my family and friends surrounded me. I was awake for the past ten minutes and no one had said a thing. "So.." I chuckled. "You okay?" Kyle sighed breaking the silence. "I have a better question. How did I get out of there?" I asked looking at Blake and Christian. "We found you and Ash, and he was already passed out and I think you were struggling with the chair to get to him that you hit your head. We took you to the hospital," Blake explained. "Where is he?" I asked not wanting to know the answer.
"Umm, honey how about you rest up," Elina said, caressing my hand. "Is he okay?" I asked looking at them. "Well...." Dad said sitting down beside me. "He has been in a coma for the past two days, lost too much blood, and had three bullets, one almost touched his heart," Dad said slowly. My eyes widned. "What do you mean he is in a coma?" I asked looking at them tera streaming in my eyes. "Dad?" I asked trying to hold onto his hand but I could barely move. "Sweetie, you need to rest, he is going to be fine," my mom tried to tell me.
But I couldn't process anything, I remembered how he looked when his father shot him and I couldn't even move to be near him. "I'll always love you," he said before smiling and closing his eyes. I opened my eyes tears streaming down my eyes. I could hear the machine beeping and my body giving up.

Finally, they were discharging me. It has been two weeks. Since the crash, my body had almost recovered. The cast on my hand the bandage around my back and waist still there. "You are recovering well," the doctor smiled at me. I smiled back. "When can I go see Asher again?" I asked. She chuckled. "Now that you are discharged, whenever you want dear," she said as she wrote down on her notepad and bid goodbye to me. "You know, I know you love him and all, but-" Kyle started and I glared at him. "You better take me to him, right now," I said as he helped me walk over to his room. Christian was sitting outside and smiled at me when I came over. "Any progress?" I asked hopefully. He gave me a sad smile and opened the door for me. It had been four days since I last saw him. His body just lay there, an oxygen mask on his face.
I sat down and held his hand. "I hate you, you know? You are making me wait again. I miss you, Ash, get better, please. I want you to open your eyes and look at me. I want you to tell me you love me again. Please," I said tears streaming down my eyes again.

One month. It had been a month. I had fully recovered. I was back again in the office. I sighed as I looked at the person presenting. I loved being back at work, but at least I wasn't couped up in our apartment. I sighed looking at my phone. 20 more minutes. I sat through the presentations. I couldn't wait to see him. As soon as the presentation was done I gave my reviews and dismissed everyone.
I immediately left the building getting into my car and driving away. I smiled at the receptionist as I walked upto his room. I smiled at his bodyguard who gave me a small smile too. I handed him the coffee and walked in. He was still there. In the same position. I sighed walking upto him. "Hi baby," I said sitting down beside him. Holding onto his hand. Telling him about my day. "And then I drove here," I said as I squeezed his hand. "Get well soon Ash," I said laying my head on our intertwined hands. "I love you, please talk to me, come back, please, I beg you, I miss you a lot," I said closing my eyes, as tears escaped my eyes.
I felt a hand on my head stroking my hair. "You know you need to rest right? You can't be moving like this, I need to get your tests done man," I heard a voice. "That can wait, she is sleeping, let her, she has gone through a lot in the past one and half months," I heard a familiar deep voice. I let out a breath opening my eyes. The hand in my hair fell to my neck. I looked up to see Asher smiling down at me.
My eyes widened. I took a deep breath rubbing my eyes. "I'm a real angel," he chuckled. I looked at him tears brimming in my eyes. I immediately hugged him letting my tears fall. After a few minutes of him rubbing my back and constantly telling me everything was fine, I let him go. "How are you?" I asked in a small voice, giving it a once over. "Good as new," he chuckled. "I hate you," I said holding his hand and he intertwined our fingers. "You said that multiple times when I was in a coma," he chuckled. "I do hate you," I said almost about to cry again. "You know I was in a coma for exactly 48 days, you said you hate me 50 times, but you told me you loved me 117 times," he said staring at me as he caressed my cheek. "Shut up, your brain wasn't working," I said glaring at him.
"Come here, kiss me," he said pulling me closer and I gladly agreed. It was soft, slow. We pulled apart looking at each other. "Say it," I demanded. He chuckled.
"I love you," he said.
"I love you. I love you more than you could ever know, and more than I could ever express," he said pulling me closer. "Good," I said kissing him again more passionately this time. I didn't want him to be away from me even for a second.
"I love this, but I need to run a few tests, so he can get well sooner and you can fuck each other," I heard a voice making me pull back to reality. I turned around to see the doctor Chris and Blake. "Right," I said trying to get up but Asher held my hand. "You are not leaving," his eyes darkened. "Relax, I'm just gonna stand over-" "No," he growled. I looked at him, not even an hour out of a coma and he was back. "Ash," I warned as I asked the doctor to come over to him. "I am perfectly fine, let me go, I have a fucking business to run," he growled at the doctor. "Yeah, I don't think so, you are staying here at least for a week if not two," he said checking his vitals. "Ted, I swear to god-" "I'm the doctor here buddy, shut the fuck up," he said hooking up the insulin to him. A nurse walked in and was a little shocked at the men in the room. She blushed and looked at me before standing next to Ted. He said some things and they both noted down things. I felt Asher squeeze my hand making me look at him worried.
"You okay?" I asked looking for any injury. He chuckled. "I love how worried you are," he said. "Yeah, the last time I saw you in the hospital it was awful, you need to stop scaring me like that you know," I chuckled. "I am sorry," he said looking at me. "Your dad's a dick," I sighed. "I am glad he is dead," he said. The nurse looked at us wide-eyed and Ted laughed. "Okay, everything seems normal right now, I still need to run blood tests, and MRIs for now," he said.
"I'm fine," Asher glared at him. "Sure buddy," he said leaving the room. "You know you kinda scared the shit out of us," Chris and Blake said giving him a hug which he gladly returned. "How's the business going?" he asked. "You shouldn't worry about that," Blake said. "Take rest Asher, you can come back in three weeks and everything will still be fine," Christian said. The door opened and Kyle and Elina walked in. I smiled at them. "Good to know you are alive," Kyle said looking at Asher. "I mean who would have married our sister if not me?" Asher smirked. "A million other guys, one more week and I would have set her up with someone else," Kyle smirked back.
"Okay you two, shut up, Asher, I'm glad you are okay," she said putting the flowers beside his bedside. "Thanks, how are the kids?" he asked her. "Good," she smiled. We all talked for a while before everyone decided to leave and we were finally alone. "You know I missed you too?" he said making me chuckle. "Your brain had shut down, you didn't," I chuckled getting up to adjust his bed so he could sit up. "Don't make fun of my emotions. I could hear you," he said making me stop and look at him. "All your stories, I don't know what bullshit Ted told you but I heard everyone," he sighed making me sit on the bed and he held my hand.
"Every time you came in and talked to me, I wished you would never leave," he said. "I am never leaving you," I said. He pulled me so I had my head on his chest. "I love you Kiara," he said kissing my forehead and a lone tear escaped my eyes. He was okay.
