"Why are you so happy?" Blake asked as I skipped toward school today. "Our cousin is back after a long time," Kyle said smiling. Asher looked at me and I smiled at him. "Sophia?" he asked me and I nodded. "She is your favorite isn't she?" he asked. "Yes, and she has invited us to her house this weekend," I smiled.

"Us?" he asked. "Do you not want to come?" I asked my smile dropping. The others had stopped at their lockers and he was walking me to mine, we seemed to do that a lot lately. "Kiara-" "It's fine I won't force you," I said opening my locker and fidgeting with the stuff inside. I heard him sigh as he pulled me away and pushed me up against the lockers.

"Asher!" I said as all the students stared at us. "What?" he said angrily. "I know you don't like meeting new people, it's fine!" I said looking around. "You know I hate it when you frown but even more when you lie?" he asked. I sighed looking at him.

"Look these past few weeks have been amazing and having her back here has been the best thing, so please let's not fight over it. If you want to come my offer is still open and if you don't want to it's completely fine!" I said. "I have work I will see," he said dejectedly. I sighed and kissed his cheek. "You overwork yourself, let's go," I said grabbing his hand and dragging him to class.

It was Friday and I was so done with the week. I smiled when I saw everybody at lunch. "What's up, guys?" I said sitting down.

They all muttered something and I sat down between Christian and Asher. "Why is he grumpy again?" he asked. "I invited him to this family thing," I said. He raised his eyebrows smirking. "Meeting the family already?" he asked. "Shut up it's just a chill day at Elina's brother's house," I said. Christian looked so confused but I shrugged. Sophia and Edward were confused. Not exactly, they just needed to confess.

I sat there scrolling through my phone when Asher nudged me. "Can you please start eating!" he grumbled. I sighed taking a bite of my food. "You worry too much about me, I am not going to die," I said. "Don't care if you do," he muttered. "Whatever," I grumbled back making him look at me.

"Asher, can I talk to you outside?" Kyle said making all of us look at him. Kyle had an angry expression on his face while Asher looked like an emotionless person. He nodded without hesitation and they both walked out. Elina gave me a worried look and I just shrugged. "I don't think it is going to end well," Christian said. "Right now I can't deal with it," I sighed.

I was ready to leave for Sophia's house when I heard a familiar deep voice downstairs. "What the fuck are you doing here?" Kyle shouted. "Kyle, don't say that, swear jar," Mom said. I rushed down to find Asher standing there in his black outfit but he looked very presentable. I smiled going to him and hugging him. "Hi," I smiled. He easily caught me giving me a half-smile. "You need to stop throwing yourself at me," he smirked.

"Oh My God, did Asher King just joke?" I asked. "King?" Mom said looking at him and me. "Yes Mom," Kyle said smirking. "Asher honey, I am sorry," Mom said as she saw Asher's expression change. He just nodded not looking at her. "Mom we are going to Sophia's see you soon," I said hugging her and rushing out. I could hear Kyle screaming but I just ignored him.

"So what was that?" I asked. He just ignored me. "Great, be all nice just in front of my mom," I said getting in the car and crossing my arms. He got in too but didn't say anything. "Your brother asked me to stay away from you," he said making me turn to him. Because his voice didn't hold anger it held pain.

"You think he is right?" I asked. "Yes," he said. "Asher! How many times-" But I stopped when he was so close to me. His face was inches away from mine. His hand on the window supports him. "I am here, aren't I? So that means I do care if you die," he said buckling me up and starting the car. I rolled my eyes as I let out a breath. The car ride was silent and I saw Kyle's car behind ours as we almost reached Sophia's house. Kyle and Elina walked inside after hugging her.

"Sophia this is Asher. My best friend. And Ash this is my cousin's sister Sophia. She is the sweetest sister I have." I smiled at her.

"It's nice to meet you Asher." she smiled at him.

"It's nice to meet you too Sophia," he said giving her a small smile.

"Please get comfortable I will set the breakfast table," she said to us. And then I grabbed his arm and started dragging him inside.

As everyone ordered the cake I just sat there. "I'll just have the apple one but just a small piece," I said. Asher raised his eyebrows at me.

"Shut up I'm getting fat. I need to work out and control my eating," I said to him.

"She will have one piece of all the cakes please," Asher said and Lena nodded smiling.

"Ash," I said sighing. "Shut up," he replied and we just glared at each other.

Soon everyone broke out into a conversation but Asher mostly stayed quiet. I didn't miss the glares Kyle was giving him. As Sophia suggested watching a movie we all walked to the home theatre. I and Asher sat on one couch as he put his hand around my shoulder and I snuggled closer to him.

"Asher, you okay?" I asked. "Hmm," he muttered. "Was it the phone call?" I asked. He had gone to take a call before walking in here and it took him quite some time. "No, just don't question me," he muttered and I left it at that. In the middle of the movie, I felt Asher pull me closer, his hand around my waist rubbing soothing circles as our hands intervened.

This felt perfect, I could get used to this. Edward walked in soon and looking at the way he took care of Sophia I smiled. That, that was love. "You want something they have?" Asher whispered and I nodded. "But you deserve so much more," he whispered. I kissed his cheek and he looked down at me but there was no emotion in his eyes.

Soon we all left for the game room when Elina pulled me to her. "I saw you both," she said accusingly. And I looked at her confused. "You are so cute!" she screamed happily. I sighed laughing at that. "Thanks?" I said. "Also, Kyle is being an ass about this, so don't pay any attention to what he says, okay?" she warned me and I nodded.

"Kiara," Asher said stopping me. "Yes?" I said as Elina winked at me and left us alone. "I think your brother is right, I will leave you alone from tomorrow," he said. "Asher, can we stop talking about this?" I sighed. "No, 'cause you are falling for me and I can keep you happy or safe," he said whispering the last part. "Ash," I said placing my hand on his jaw. "You make me happy, You don't just need to be my side, is that a lot to ask?" I asked.

"Yes," he said making me stumble back. He glared at me before walking away. I stood there not knowing what to do.

As we entered the club I was in awe. How the hell did he own this? I saw some bodyguards and workers recognizing him. I don't know how he convinced everyone to be here. "We can all sit in my office," he grumbled. "Why does your boyfriend own a club?" Elina whispered. "Because he is a gang leader," Kyle rolled his eyes. Elina glared at him.

"It's true, it is one of his family businesses or one of his sister's endorsements?" I said. "See her answer makes more sense," Elina said to Kyle. "Let's dance she said dragging me to the dance floor. We danced our hearts out until Kyle came and stole Elina from me and they walked to god knows where.

I felt someone's hands around my waist and I turned around when I found them to be rough. A man stood behind me maybe 20? "Excuse me?" I said. "You look pretty," he slurred. I was about to get out of his grip when he was pulled off of me and thrown to the ground. Asher towered over him and I sighed.

I saw Elina run towards me and I grabbed Asher's hand. "Asher please no," I said he kicked him a few times since I held onto his arms before he signaled his men to take him away. Kyle came and hugged me but I got out of his embrace after assuring him I was fine and stood in front of a very angry Asher.

"Why save me, when you don't want to be with me?" I asked him. He glared at me dragging me with him. "I will drop her home," he said without waiting for an answer as we walked upstairs. "Asher, you can't do this to me," I said as he closed the door with a loud bang. "I can do whatever the fuck I want," he said angrily.

"Asher you -" but I couldn't complete my sentence since he pressed me against the door his hand around my waist and another around my neck pulling me closer as he roughly attacked my mouth. Before I could react I could feel the hunger in the kiss. I responded quickly my hand in his hair and the other on his chest. Our tongues tangled with each other as his hands went inside my shirt. The kiss grew as he pulled me closer. After a few seconds, we pulled back and he just stared at me. I placed my hand on his jaw as he leaned into it. "You okay?" he asked me softly. I nodded.

"I wanna go home," I said to him. "Okay," he said grabbing my hand and the other went around my waist and let me back outside. I saw the glare and nod he gave to one of the guards before leaving. But I wanted to leave as soon as possible.

He opened the door for me and I got in. As soon as we got back Elina pulled me inside and I wanted Asher to come in but Kyle pressed a hand on his chest and dragged him away. "Elina, what is happening?" I asked her. "Let him talk to him," she said bringing me back.

It's been a week since I last talked to Asher. After that kiss, I was going to talk to him after we went back to my room, but he left immediately after he talked to Kyle. And the worst part was he was in school but found ways to avoid me.

I stood near his car waiting impatiently. I could see him and Blake walking towards me and Blake turned around trying to leave as soon as I but then Asher stopped him. I could feel them talking but it was out of my hearing reach.

"So you finally want to talk?" I asked. "Doesn't look like I have an option as such," he said looking around. "Ash?" I asked making him look at me. "Did Kyle say something? I'll make sure that doesn't happen," I said walking toward him.

"Your brother can't do shit to me," he spat looking away. "I know no one can then it means you brought those stupid thoughts upon yourself again didn't you?" I asked him.

"Kiara, look I don't know what you think of me, or how much you are obsessed with me. Leave me alone, I am not interested in you! Can't, you get that through your head? Look you are a rich spoilt brat, you are ugly and you are also dumb. So please leave me alone I don't want to be with someone like you," he said looking me straight in the eye.

The fact that he didn't even flinch when he said all that to me made the tears in my eyes drop. "You are starting with this again?" I asked. "Look go away, I don't need you," he said turning around the anger clear in his voice.

"But what If I need you?" I asked my voice broken. He didn't turn around and I gulped. "Asher look at me and tell me everything meant nothing to you, look and me and tell me all those words, all those kisses, those conversations were all nothing to you," I said my voice raising a little.

Blake looked at us sadly but stood there doing nothing.

Asher turned around and looked at me before taking slow steps. "Look little girl, I don't need you in my life, all that we had was nothing, it meant nothing to me. It is not my fault that you got carried away in your fairytale but sorry to say this I am not the hero in your story I am the villain. So go find your prince 'cause I am not the one.

So leave me the fuck alone 'cause I don't want anything to do with a girl like you," his hands holding my shoulder so firmly that it hurt. But it was nothing compared to what was going through my mind.

"It's for me to decide who the villain of my story is, and you are right, it is you because you are afraid of losing yourself. So congratulations, you have lost me already," I said turning around and leaving.

"But you will always be my prince," I whispered as I walked away.
