Ava's POV.

It was a typical Monday morning. Leafs were falling off the trees and there was a nice but chilly breeze. I stepped out into the crisp autumn air and headed toward my boyfriend Sean's car. "Hurry up babe, we're gonna be late."
"I'm coming, just let me grab Kylie's coat" Sean and I have been dating for a year and Kylie is my 2 year old daughter. We are dropping her off at daycare. Let me tell you a bit about myself. My name is Ava Parker, I'm a junior in high school and I'm 17 years old and yes I am a teen mom it happens. Anyway Kylie's father died about two years ago. I don't remember him though. I just remember what my family told me. That I had a boyfriend, he got me
pregnant and then he died in a car crash. I was in the car with him but I don't remember it. I just remember the water rising quickly but I don't really like to talk about it. So I have black curly hair, brown eyes. My daughter Kyle has black hair, and blue eyes. She's the only family that I have. Well her and Sean. After my family found out I was keeping Kylie, they weren't too thrilled about it so they kicked me out. I've been living with Sean ever since. He's tall with brown hair and brown eyes. He's very funny and very sweet. Even though we've been together a short time, I know that he's the one for me. "Mommy are we late yet?"
"Oh jeez we gotta get going." I said zipping Kylie's coat up. "No kidding," Sean said rolling his eyes at me.
"Don't start with me" I said as I got into the car and strapped myself in. Sean got Kylie all situated and we were on our way.
When we got to school, I quickly got all the books out of my locker and shut it. Just as I was about to book it to class I almost ran into boy standing right in front of me which scared the pee out of me causing me to drop my books. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you."
"No it's fine I'm just late for class."
"Really what class?" he asked as we both stood up and I got a good look at him. He was tall and had brown hair with beautiful blue eyes that I could stare into all day. Whoa Ava you have a boyfriend calm down. "English...I'm late for english" I said as I stared at the floor trying to hide my flushed face. "Oh what teacher?"
"Brown."
"Damn I have Kelly but can I walk you" he said with his incredible smile....ok seriously Ava stop it. "Yeah sure" I said as we walked down the hall. "So are you excited for thanksgiving break?"
"Um yea I am. I mean no school no work just me, my boyfriend Sean and Kylie.
"Oh is that your sister?" I paused for a moment wondering if I should lie to him or not. " No she's my daughter."
"Oh" he said with no emotion at all. "Aren't you gonna judge me or call me a slut or something??" I asked surprised that he didn't just walk away after I said that. "No. I don't judge people. I mean I don't want them to judge me so why would I judge them?" I just nodded in agreement. He's got a point there. Man this dude is deep. We chatted a bit more until I saw Sean waiting at the end of the hall. "Well it was nice meeting you" I said as I shook his hand. "It was nice meeting you too."
"So I'll see you around?" I asked hoping I would see him again. "Oh yeah definitely. I'll see you soon Ava" he said with a smile and we both turned around and went out separate ways until I remembered something. "Hey how did you know my name I never told you?"
"Oh I know" he replied nonchalantly. "I'm Gabe" he said and walked away. "Weird" I thought to my self and turned around and almost ran into Sean. "What took you so long?"
"I'm sorry I was talking to Gabe."
"Who?" he said with a confused look on his face.
"Gabe the one who was walking with me just now."
"Um, Ava there wasn't anyone next to you. I thought you were talking to someone on the phone." I gave him a puzzled look. "But he was right-"
"Come on we're already late. I'm just glad Brown didn't walk in yet" he said as he dragged me into the classroom.

Boy if only I knew what I just got myself into.
