I was preparing my morning coffee and Patrick was getting ready for work, its Saturday, that means I have work today. 

"Hey how was yesterday? Did you enjoy while you were with Marcus?" Patrick asked as he fixed his tie.

"Oh my god don't even get me started, first I received a phone call from the cops, and then when he got to know about the break in and the murder, he freaked out and the whole day he kept asking stupid questions, instead of watching Netflix. Ugh" I was so tired after speaking to him, like who the hell asks questions like "Were the murderer's parents informed about this?" Like what the fuck! How old is he?!, after all this I really started doubting his mental health.

"Haha, he might have been really shocked, after all he was sleeping at that time." Patrick chuckled. 

Then I told Patrick about the strange texts I was receiving, and his reply was, "Just block the number, Ray." Why didn't I think of that before, I'm so dumb.

"Okay then Ray I'll be on my way, see ya." Patrick said. He just opened the door when, "Hey look who's here!" Patrick looked back.

"Ayy yo bitches." It was Brook!!

"Hey Brook, what a surprise." Patrick smiled.

"I sure am a surprise." She said as she came in.

"Oh. My. God. Brook!! I missed you so much!!" I ran and clinged on her. "Okay then I'll get going before I get late." Patrick waved and left.

"God Brook you said you'd come after this month gets over." I said as I finally let go of her.

"That's cause my best friend senses were tingling." She replied.

"*gasp* So you knew I was troubled." She the best friend ever.

"Nah just kidding my grandmother got discharged early." I want a refund for what I said before.

"Fuck off." 

"Aww come on, now tell me what I'm missing on." 

"So basically, some dude broke into this house." I shrugged, knowing that I'd have to explain every thing to her.

"Omg! Tell me more. My god, did he hurt you?" She was overreacting a little.

"Ugh this is the 3rd time I have to tell someone the whole story again, I should just record my voice and make people listen to that." I replied. "First settle down. I'll tell you."

"Okay." She said and we walked towards her room."Did you tell your parents about this?

"Patrick said that its better to not let them know anything." I said.

After explaining everything to her and chit-chatting a little, I looked at the time.

"OMFG!! Its 8:40 I'll be late for work!!" I screeched.

"I'll come with you." Brook said.

"Wait...don't you like, need rest or anything like that?" I asked in doubt.

"Fuck rest! I'm coming with you, I want to see that cute guy." She replied.

(By the cute guy she meant Aiden.)

At the cafe.

Brook decided to just sit there and look at her phone while I did my work. I didn't know how she didn't get bored, Brook is the one who gets bored very easily, her not bothering me is really weird.

"Hey Ray how are you?" It was Aiden. 

"Hey Aiden, where were you all this time?" It was about 1:30.

"I just reached, I had some work." He replied.

"Oh Ok."

"You mind if I ask you something?" He rubbed the back of his neck.

"Nope."

"Who was that guy who came to pick you up at the bus stop?" He asked.

"Oh...he's just a stupid neighbour." I replied.

"Are you sure?" He asked again.

"Yeah why?" 

"Cause maybe I got a little jealous." Wow that was smooth.

"Boi, your smooth." I said. Damn did he really get jealous?

"I just wanted to ask you, if you wanted to go out on a date with me?" 

Wut?@_@ Did he? Omg!!

"Yeah I'd love to." Oh god I can't believe it!!

"Okay see you tomorrow at 4:00" he said and left to do his work.

"......and then he asked me out." I squealed.

"You mean the guy with green eyes and kinda curly hair?" Brook asked.

"Yeah him" I squeaked.

"Bro he looks good and all but he does seem a little weird." She said

"That's what I thought of him first too, but he is a good guy." I said in defence. Brook and I were in the kitchen, eating some crackers.

"Yeah but-"*Ding*Dong* The door bell interrupted her." I'll get it" she said.

She went and opened the door, I could hear the conversion.

"Hey~ how can I help you?" Apparently the way Brook was saying it, was very exaggeratedly sweet.

"Is Ray there?" I knew it for the voice that it was Marcus.

"Ray! Come here" Brook yelled.

"Hey Apollo! WASSUP!" I said.

"I told you it's Marcus....and I came here thinking we could play PS4." He raised his eyebrows.

"Finally you got someone to play your video games with." Brook said since she was always the one to play with me even if she liked it or not.

"He plays much better that you Brook, it was so boring to play with a noob." I said.

"Be thankful that I at least played with you." She spat.

"Yeah yeah...oh come in Apollo, we could use more company." I said.

"Uh...thanks." He smiled.

And the whole night we sat playing video games.
