It was late, yet the night was young with how high the moon was. It was spring with trees flowing in the wind. The stars twinkled down in the earth with their natural glow. Most people were asleep at such an ungodly hour. Most people were sunken in their sheets of their beds and fast into the dreamland they all craved instead of reality. But it seem not everyone was on the same boat as others.
It was way past midnight, yet a neighborhood street not far from the city, was up. It was one particular house that was loud and bustling with people shouting and yelling. Lights flickered around the house while some people were outside and most hanged out inside, letting themselves get lost in the music. They swayed with drinks in their hands and smoke puffing out of their parted lips. They all got lost in such recreational things, they simply forgot the consequences they would have to face the next day. It seem everyone agreed with this lifestyle, having no care in the world about the consequences it would lead too.
Perhaps not everyone.
The room was more asthmatic and toxic than he realized. His chest had tighten significantly the moment he stepped in. The loud blasting music, the yelling and hollering was causing his chest to tighten even more. His ears ringing, he wasn't even sure if it was the music or his heartbeat anymore. The walls didn't fill as spacious as they should be. Everything felt like it was closing in.
The lights nearly blinding him in every direction, people shoving and pushing against him made him sweat with anxiety. Their stench hitting his nostrils, getting their filthy hands on his new black Jordan sweatshirt. His ripped blue washed jeans couldn't help release some of the uncomfortable heat he felt in the room.
His ears were red, his head down, his black hair and bangs covering his eyes. He was milked with shining jewelry and his handsomeness nearly took the breath away of everyone inside. Their eyes laid on him while he pushed around in the crowd, his body begging for air.
Too many people.
Too many hot bodies pushed against him.
The air and sweat mixed in was not helping his chest, it tighten and only grew worse.
Worse of all, he didn't bring his inhaler.
He only came for his Hyungs, otherwise he would rather be home and watching the next movie of Spider-Man. But alas, he was here, drowning in the crowds while it was filled with alcohol and marijuana. His anxiety spiked through the roof with how crowded it was in the small house. Sweat was forming along an incoming asthma attack. His chest felt too tight and his breathing was shallow.
Where was his brother?
Why did that all scatter like mice?
Why did they leave him alone?
They knew how bad he gets with people.
With parties in general.
He pushed the crowds hastily as his breathing became more shallow and ragged. The music was now blocked out and replaced with his thumping heart. He place his hand on his chest, gasping for air. His eyes searched the crowd but no where could he find any of his friends nor his brother.
Air.
He needs air.
But there's too many people.
People.
Why are they so close?
The air is getting harder to obtain, why can't they move?
Why were they so many people?
He rushed, nearly falling in the ground several times. His body felt shaky and his vision blurred with tears.
He can't breathe.
Panic rushed through him.
He can't breathe.
His hands trembled to reach for his phone but they slipped through his fingers and fell on the ground. His chest tighten and tears slipped out of his eyes. His voice all gone and drown in the sea of people.
He's going to pass out.
Why didn't he bring his inhaler?
"You won't need it Jungkook, I'll be by you the whole time. Just stick by me, and nothing can go wrong."
Ah, right.
Jungkook bitterly laughed at his pathetic self, his hands trembling. He couldn't believe he listened to his brother. His brother never kept his word and everything always went wrong whenever he said that.
Why was he so pathetic in believing him?
The tears wouldn't stop and the music and yelling wasn't reaching his ears. His phone underneath his shoe yet his unsteady hands couldn't reach for it.
He just wants to go home.
There would be no people and no loud music, and nothing to trigger his asthma, just home.
He tried to think about his cozy room only for him to be shoved. He gasped and shrieked but his cries only blended in the crowd. He was on the ground now, his knees scraped. The ground was worse, more people shoved and pushed against him without a care. He was gasping and crying, his throat was burning and closing. Black spots were in his vision, his hand around his throat as if soothing it was going to give him air.
He felt like he was drowning.
Drowning in the land.
Drowning by the air.
He needed air.
"-Move! Move people!"
He felt a hand slipped to his shoulder, while the same voice yelled at everyone to move. The person was shouting and shoving people out of his way. He looked up only to met a girl his age. He couldn't clearly see but he felt her help him up. His legs felt like jelly and weak. She had wrapped his arm around her shoulder and helped him up, walking away from the crowd.
He wasn't even sure when but he was somehow outside the house. He was sitting on a curb with her being next to him. The night air had hit his sweaty face, cooling the heat he felt. His breathing was still shallow and ragged, shutting his eyes tight to calm himself down. But nothing worked.
"Hey, it's okay. Look at me."
He tiredly opened his eyes to face to girl once more. His body felt numb but he could almost feel her soft hands holding his. His vision was blurred but he could see her kneeling down to face him.
"Watch how I'm doing it. Inhale from your nose-" she took a deep breath from her nose before exhaling out of her mouth.
"-then exhale through your mouth. Slowly." She explained softly. Jungkook did as he was told but it came out shaky. The girl lightly squeezed his hands and shook her head.
"Let's do it together, okay? Watch me." Once again she inhaled deeply from her nose, before slowly exhaling through her mouth. She repeated her steps before Jungkook finally joined her. She had stopped at some point but Jungkook wasn't sure when, he only continued to do what she asked until it eased the pain off his chest.
"That's it. Your doing great." She encouraged softly, her hand gently stroking his hair. For whatever reason, that made the tension lessen. His breathing returning back to normal and that burning panic had vanished in seconds. He finally was able to get a look at her.
Her hair was down but she had a cute ribbon headband on. She was wearing a baggy graphic Star Wars tee. It was halfway tucked in her washed up blue shorts that reached up mid of her thigh. She had blue Jordan high tops on her feet with a black choker and silver Star earrings. She also had on a bracelet on that had a Death Star charm on it. Her square glasses had rested on her nose bridge while her eyebrows had creased just slightly in worry.
"Are you better now?" She whispered softly. It was only then Jungkook realized she was still stroking his hair. His ears immediately turn red. No girl has ever been this close to him.
"Y-yeah."
"Oh thank goodness." She breathed out, moving her hand away from his black locks.
"You were breathing so hard on the dance floor, I tried looking for you but the crowd kept getting in the way so I had to shout. I'm sorry I came a bit late." She apologized, lightly rubbing his back. Jungkook glanced at her, playing with his sleeves.
"I-it's okay. Thank you." He whispered out, truly appreciative of her actions. Any longer and he would've been in the hospital. The girl smiled, moving her hand away.
"Your welcome. Ah! Where's my manners? I'm Y/n, Jungkook right?" Y/n flashed him a smile while he felt his cheeks grow redder. He already knew her name but he didn't expect her to know his.
"Yeah. H-how'd you know?"
"Me and your brother, Namjoon, are in the same college course. We're both majoring in Engineering. I saw you walk in with his friends and saw you in the crowd. He talks a lot about you during school."
"A-Ah yeah he mentions you a-a lot too." Jungkook said shyly.
"You major in photography, correct?"
Jungkook nodded shyly, tugging on his sleeves while his face continued to grow red.
"That's cool. But if you don't mind me asking, why are you here? Your brother always mentions how much of introvert you are, I honestly didn't expect you to come to Johnny's party." She had now sat next to him, flashing him a smile when he looked at her.
"Namjoon always says I never get out a lot and told me it would be good if I went, so I agreed. But there's just too many people a-and they're all smoking. That's bad for my asthma. Too m-many people make me make panic and then I-I can't breathe." Jungkook was slowly started to hyperventilate again but Y/n quickly took his hands.
"Hey, it's okay. It's okay. Don't worry about it, we're outside. No people, no smoking. It's okay, just take a deep breath Jungkook." She soothed, her voice as soft as honey. That alone for whatever reason calmed Jungkook. He took a shaky breath before releasing it normally. Y/n had reached out and gently ran her fingers through his hair. Jungkook relaxed, the small motion reminding him of what his mother used to do whenever he had panic attacks.
"Where's your inhaler buddy?" She asked gently. Jungkook lazily looked at her again, his body relaxing the more she touched his hair. They had barely met, yet Jungkook was completely melting at her touch. Well not exactly per say, Jungkook knew her but he highly doubted she knew him like the way he knew her. Her touch felt relaxing to him especially since he's had the longest crush on her.
Perhaps he should've taken his anxiety pills but he once again listen to Namjoon about not needing to take them. Just like his inhaler. Yet strangely this woman knew exactly what to do without him needing any of those things. His chest didn't even hurt anymore. He did feel flustered and his cheeks felt hot, but he ignored those things. Other than that, he felt good.
"Namjoon said I didn't need it since I'll be by him the whole night. But he left the moment he saw his crush." Jungkook sighed, subconsciously leaning towards her hand.
"His crush? He left you for someone he liked? Ugh men." Y/n huffed out in annoyance while Jungkook fluttered his eyes close. He let out a mere hum, laying his head on her shoulder while she worked wonders with her fingers.
"Hey Jungkook?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you want to leave the party?"
Jungkook moved his head away from her shoulder. He looked at her, now tugging on his sleeves again.
"W-well I would love too. But I would feel bad since Namjoon Hyung loves p-parties so much. He would only g-get mad if I try to convince him to leave early." Jungkook scratched behind his ear, his lips pulled into a frown.
"You know, Namjoon's kinda a jerk."
Jungkook widen his eyes, whirling his head back to face her. But inside her eyes were nothing but sadness.
"He's your older brother, he should take more care of you."
"B-but I'm already 21, he doesn't need to baby me."
"That's not babying you Jungkook. That's being a big brother. He forces you to go to these things when clearly you can't, and to make matters worse, he doesn't even let you take the proper medication you need before coming. That's not right Jungkook." She looked at him with now seriousness swirling in her eyes. Jungkook had kept his mouth shut, clasping his hands together. She was right but he didn't want to accept that as the truth.
He loved and adored his older brother, sure he's a bit pushy but Jungkook thought all older brothers were like that. Jungkook always assumed that Namjoon told him not to take his medications simply to get in the habit of not taking them anymore. That's why he pushes him to leave the house and go to parties.
But then again, it sometimes did feel like Namjoon was embarrassed by him. Sometimes he was too pushy and too demanding. Maybe he didn't like the fact he was weighing him down. It did hurt him whenever Namjoon would make a promise but never keep it. Like today, he had promised to stay by his side the whole party. And yet, he left the moment he saw his crush from afar. He left him drowning in the sea of people and woman who barely had clothing on, come near him and want throw themselves on him.
He was too shy and scared for a social gathering like this.
He never really understood the whole partying during college thing. He would rather stay home and sleep or watch movies. There was simply no need for him to come out. His brother bought food, and did all the stuff that required to leave the apartment. Other than attending classes, there was just no reason for him to leave. It was his only brother that pushed him and forced him out. There was times that Jungkook had to admit he hated it. He hated whenever he was pushy about it. But he also hated it whenever his brother lied about saying everything was going to be okay.
Perhaps his brother only thought he was burden, a burden his mother left him with since they both moved here for college. He had too many health issues for the ladder to care.
Jungkook had bit his lip at this point, his head down. The insecurities and truth were eating away at his skin.
"So let me ask you again Jungkook, do you want to leave this party?"
Jungkook looked at her, nodding slowly at her words.
His brother probably wouldn't even notice he was gone, not for a while at least. Or at least until he was too drunk to drive himself back home. It would be a while until then but how could Jungkook deny his crush? He always put Namjoon first but this time, he'll put himself first. Just once, her eyes that glimmered in the night was something he couldn't deny.
"Great. Then let's get out of here and eat some McDonald's." Y/n stood up, stretching her arms over her head with a smile. Jungkook was about to say something until his stomach rumbled. Y/n laughed, holding her hand out towards him.
"Come on Jungkook, I think your a bit hungry." She giggled. Jungkook felt his cheeks heat up as he shyly took her hand. Y/n helped him up and flashed him another smile. His shy mannerisms were so cute in her eyes.
"And don't worry about your brother, okay? I'll just text him I took you out." Y/n took his hand once again and started dragging him. Jungkook was blushing hard, the blush creeping from his cheeks to his ears. She dragged him to a parking spot in front of the house. Jungkook's eyes widen once more the moment it landed on her ride. It was a black motorcycle with blue flames engulfing the rims and edges.
"Y-you ride a motorcycle?"
Y/n grabbed a helmet and handed him on before grabbing herself one. Hers had a Darth Vader sticker on it along with a red lightsaber. She looked at him before looking at her bike.
"Yeah. My dad gave it to me when I graduated from high school. Of course I had to wait four years before I could even ride it. Cool, huh? Like my Darth Vader helmet?" Y/n was smiling wide, holding up her helmet. She looked so proud of her helmet that Jungkook couldn't help but melt.
"Yeah. It's actually cool." Jungkook gave a small smile, while his eyes directed to his own helmet she handed him. That helmet was black with a Death Star on it. He glanced back at her, her helmet already on and mounted on the bike. He could only assume her favorite was Darth Vader considering the fact even her jewelry was Darth Vader themed. He knew she liked Star Wars since it what Namjoon told him, that and she nearly had all her everyday items were always Star Wars themed. It was something he caught every time he stared at her from afar.
He placed the helmet on, before hesitatingly going behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist. He slightly tensed, never really thinking he would ever hold her like this, even if it was because of the motorcycle.
"Ready?"
All Jungkook could do was nod, the inside of his helmet suddenly feeling too hot. She didn't waste another minute before taking off. Jungkook let out a scream, clutching onto her tightly. He wasn't expecting to move so fast. Y/n laughed, her own cheeks feeling warm the tighter he held onto her.
It was merely 20 minutes later did they get to the nearest ungodly hour McDonald's. Jungkook had completely forgot it was late and most people would've been sleeping. He was more of a night owl anyways but that doesn't mean he would want to party until the crack of Dawn. Y/n had shut off her bike and placed her helmet off. Her hair a bit messy but Jungkook could careless. He was staring as she set down her helmet and fixed her hair.
"Alright let's go-Uh? Jungkook?"
"Yeah?"
"Your helmet buddy?"
"Oh right!" Jungkook hastily took off his helmet, his hair much more messier than hers. He was flushed from being nearly caught staring at her. Y/n couldn't help but laugh at his messy black locks. She leaned towards him, fixing his messy hair. Jungkook froze, his hands gripping the helmet.
"Let me just fix that up for you bud." Y/n smiled, brushing his hair with her fingers. Jungkook just stood still, letting her fingers move his stands around or pat them down. His blush darken, thinning his lips. She was so close, he wondered if she could hear his thumping heart and fluttering stomach.
"There all done. Come on, I'm craving some nuggies!" Y/n beamed, grabbing her keys for her motorcycle and started walking away. Jungkook blinked but followed her. His face still felt hot but he couldn't stop a smile forming on his lips. She was so nice it nearly caused him to melt once again.
Y/n walked in without a care while Jungkook was so tempted to latch on her shirt out of habit. He would do that with his older brother whenever they went out. It a habit he had since he was a child, for whatever reason it brought him comfort. Especially whenever he was in strange new places. Though McDonald's wasn't necessary a new place, he couldn't help but feel like people were staring at him. Y/n seem to have sensed his wariness and stopped her tracks.
"You okay Jungkook? Do you want to go somewhere else?"
Jungkook had nearly crashed into her before realizing she stopped. Jungkook slipped on his hoodie and was playing with the strings.
"N-no I am hungry and this place is the only one open. It's just-" Jungkook now tugged on the strings, his cheeks getting hot. Y/n didn't show any judgement, and just lightly rubbed his arm to soothe his nerves.
"Just what buddy?" She asked softly. Jungkook finally looked back at her, wondering how someone could be so patient. His brother would've forced it out by now, while she stood there waiting.
"It sounds kinda dumb but whenever I'm somewhere new, my anxiety goes up. So I typically latch onto the person I'm with. Like hold their hand or something. Since my Hyung doesn't necessarily like people touching him, I tug on his sleeve. I don't mean to be a bother-" Jungkook didn't even get to finish his sentence as Y/n took his hand. She smiled at him, her eyes not even holding pity. His cheeks felt hotter and that butterfly feeling grew.
"Oh your not Jungkook. It's okay, if you need to hold my hand that's okay. Anything to make you comfortable, okay?"
Jungkook mindlessly nodded, lightly squeezing her hand.
Could she be any more perfect?
Jungkook felt like this crush was only growing at this point. He didn't even realize the dreamy smile he suddenly had. She was too pure and perfect for this world. Her smile was lighting up his world and her laugh was going to be the death of him. He didn't care how cheesy and corny that sound, she was truly perfect in his eyes.
Just who wouldn't have a crush on this lovely woman?
"Alright, is there something you are particularly craving? I'm getting some nuggies." Y/n was standing in front of the menu with their hands locked. Jungkook stared at her with a dreamy look, giggling at himself at the way she said nuggets.
"Ah! Definitely a McFlurry too. Jungkook?"
Jungkook snapped out of his dreamy state and looked at Y/n with slightly wide eyes. He felt hot once again, his heart thumping in his chest. Y/n giggled at his expression, shaking her head.
"Dreaming there Jungkook?"
"Y-yeah sorry. I'll just get a McDouble and some fries." He mumbled, scratching behind his neck. Y/n lightly pat his arm with a giggle.
"I'm teasing Jungkook. Okay I'll pay-"
"No! I will!" Jungkook yelled a bit too loud. The remaining people there eyed him strangely which caused a shiver run up his spine. Y/n laughed, pinching his cheek before bringing out her wallet.
"It's fine, I will. So then next time, you pay for me. Deal?"
Jungkook felt his words get stuck in his throat.
Did that mean she wanted to hang out with him again soon?
Just the two of them?
"O-okay." Jungkook muttered out, trying to shrink into his hoodie. He felt too hot and too embarrassed to look in her eyes at the moment.
"Good! Now go find us some seats while I order." She pat his arm again before walking towards the cashier. Jungkook did what he was told and started to walk around the nearly empty restaurant. Not a lot of people were inside which was much better than the party Jungkook had to admit. And even though it didn't smell the best, it was better that cigarettes and alcohol.
Jungkook found a booth near the window and sat down on the red booth. He looked out the window, barely any cars passing through. There was always some weirdos walking around at night while others homeless. He placed his hands in his pocket, he blinked the moment he felt a heavy object inside. He pulled out the object, blinking when he realized it was his phone. He didn't remember picking it up. Perhaps Y/n did. He was so out of it to clearly remember if she did or not.
He turned on his phone, his eyes going wide with how many miss calls he had.
10 miss calls and over 30 messages from Namjoon.
He slightly winced as he scrolled through his messages. All asking where he was, or if he went home already. He scrolled down to the first message, his thumb hovering over the message.
"Have you seen Y/n? I saw her earlier but I think she headed towards your direction."
Y/n? Why was he looking for-?
"Alrighty! Our food should be out in a couple of minutes!" Y/n slid in the booth with a sigh. She leaned on the table flashing her contagious smile. Her smile fell the moment she looked at Jungkook. His eyebrows were furrowed with concern while he looked intently at his phone.
"Everything alright little bun?"
That nickname seem to do the trick and he immediately perked his head up with another blush coating his cheeks. He shut off his phone but nearly dropping it in the process.
"B-bun?"
Y/n laughed, leaning back on the cushion. He really did resemble much of a rabbit which she found cute.
"Yeah, short for bunny. You do know you look like one, right?"
Jungkook had to look away or he might actually faint. He felt a lot of emotions at once which was a bit overwhelming. But he did know he felt embarrassed at her comment.
"A-ah no? I do?"
"Yup!" Y/n beamed, popping the 'p'.
"A-ah well thank you." He muttered, glancing at her for a bit before looking away again. Y/n giggled again, now playing with her bracelet.
"Your so cute Jungkook. So sweet too. Just a bit shy, but I think that's what makes you cute." Y/n had soften her features while she played with her bracelet. That comment alone made him blush again, he internally groaned. This woman was going to be the death of him.
"But you sure everything's okay?"
"Y-yeah. Just Hyung wondering where I'm at. I'm a bit surprised honestly, I thought it would take another hour or two." Jungkook said, rubbing behind his neck.
"Hmm, maybe his crush bailed on him?"
"Maybe. But he was looking forward seeing her tonight." Jungkook place his hand down on the table. Y/n place her elbow on the table, letting her chin rest on her palm.
"Who is Namjoon's crush anyways?" Y/n asked.
"Oh it's-"
Jungkook's buzzing phone startled him. A picture of his Hyung popped up. He grabbed it, and quickly answering it. Y/n quickly sat there, watching his nervous expression. Jungkook could still hearing the loud music echo through the phone, making him assume his brother was still at the house.
"H-hello?"
"Jungkook! Where the hell are you? Why haven't you been answering my calls or texts?!"
"Sorry Hyung. I had a panic attack which led to an asthma attack, so I couldn't really think straight. I didn't see them until now." Jungkook explained, fidgeting with his strings.
"Again Jungkook?! Who had to help you this time? Did someone make a big deal out of it?"
"Well it's kinda of a big deal. I couldn't breathe Hyung." Jungkook mumbled, his eyes looking down.
"Why didn't you take your meds or your inhaler?!"
"You said not to-"
"God! Jungkook why are you so embarrassing?"
Jungkook sunk his head, his hand gripping his phone tightly. He felt shaky again, his insecurities once again gnawing at his skin once more. He bit his lip trying to not release his shaky breath or he would get scold at again.
"Where are you!?"
"I'm-"
His phone was immediately snatched from him, the words getting caught in his throat. Y/n had taken the phone, fuming the moment she pressed her ear against it.
"He's with me! He's fine, since your asking. You know he has asthma, what the hell is wrong with you taking to him a party where people smoke?! Do you how bad it is for people with asthma to be around cigarettes? It could worsen their lungs!" Y/n had almost screamed at the phone. Jungkook sat there frozen, his eyes slightly wide. He could hear his brother stutter on his words while Y/n went on and on his dangerous it is for Jungkook to be around such people. Even more so with his anxiety around people.
"-Now, if your worried about Jungkook so much then you should know he's with me. I'll drop him off when we're done, not when your done." Y/n huffed and hung up the phone. She place the phone down before getting up from the booth.
"I'm going to get the phone. If he texts you, let me know. Ugh unbelievable, you would think he would know this by now." Y/n grumbled angrily as she stomped away. Jungkook was too stun to speak, staring at his phone. He wasn't expecting such a strong reaction from Y/n. He grabbed his phone, blinking when another text came through.
"Why are you with Y/n?"
Jungkook was more confused, but merely placed his phone back in his pocket while Y/n had return with the food. She set down the tray, still looking a bit annoyed. She sat down back in the booth, grabbing her food and aggressively opening them. Jungkook slowly took his food, his doe eyes watching how aggressive she was with her food.
"Um Y/n? Are you okay?"
Jungkook had stopped her just in time before she was about to aggressively shove a chicken nugget in her mouth. Jungkook had barely unwrapped his burger. Y/n looked up, seeing his doe eyes wide. She sighed, placing her nugget down with a frown.
"Yeah. Just your brother is a jerk. I mean what kind of brother blames their own sibs for their wrong doings? Especially when you can't control that situation. Like ugh! And to think I used to have a crush on him." Y/n growled, now biting the nugget with full force. Jungkook lowered his burger, looking at her with even wider eyes. His heart sank at the confession but he supposed who wouldn't fall for his brother? He was handsome and intelligent, and he was quite the charmer. But why did it have to be her?
"You liked my brother?" Jungkook's meek voice caught Y/n's attention. She looked up, her heart clutching at his sadden eyes. He looked like a kicked puppy and that alone made Y/n scramble.
"N-no! Not anymore! I used to! I mean it's kinda hard not too, he's charming and smart. He makes all the girls in the engineering class swoon. But it didn't last long anyway since I ended up falling for someone else." Y/n coughed out, her cheeks suddenly feeling warm. Jungkook thinned his lips, his free hand playing with his strings again.
"Who?"
Y/n cleared her throat, scratching her wrist out of habit.
"Someone who's very handsome. Wait no that sounds shallow-it's not all about appearances but he's very handsome and cute of course that's not what matters, what matters is how they acted, and he acts very sweet and cute. Why do I keep saying cute? Because he is cute. But his personality is really sweet and cute. Damn, why do I keep saying cute?" Y/n was rambling at this point, talking to nothing but air while Jungkook stared at her, slightly confused.
"So who-?"
"Bunny!"
Jungkook frozen, blinking at her. Her outburst confusing him even more. He was incredibly confused. He wasn't even sure if he should be jealous or not. She was sputtering nonsense.
"Huh?"
"Bunny! I like Bunny!" Y/n exclaimed, her own cheeks feeling hot. She was fanning herself with a nervous smile.
"Who's bunny?-" Jungkook stopped his sentence, blinking.
"Yeah, short for bunny. You do know you look like one, right?"
His face flared up, choking on his spit as he coughed. He leaned back, his cheeks growing redder by the second. He rapidly shook his hand, moving his hands in odd directions.
"Oh nonononononononono there's no way you m-mean me." Jungkook laughed out, before going under the table in embarrassment. He was trying to hide his flustered state but it was not working. Y/n watched him, not sure if she wanted to giggle at him or not.
"See I've never had a confession and when I do it's usually because they just want to, well you know, sleep with me."
"You mean have se-?"
"Don't say the word!" Jungkook whined out, now covering his ears. Y/n blinked at his sudden outburst, not entirely sure about this conversation anymore.
"Look there's no way you like me like that, none of my crushes ever like me like that. And when they do, it's because they just like how I look. I think your mistaken and got the wrong guy-"
"Jungkook, little bun,"
Jungkook raised his head, meeting her eyes. She flashed him a smile, getting off her booth then sliding in his. She helped up sit right, her hand on his forearm. All that and not once did she look away.
"Your really cute little bun. And there's so reason to doubt yourself because I do like you." Y/n had kissed his cheek causing him to stiffen. He stared at her, his heart thumping hard against his chest.
"Y-you do?"
"Of course silly. I did once upon time had a crush on him but, whenever he talked about you or when I saw you, you were so sweet and shy. Like a cute little bunny." Y/n smiled, laying her head on his shoulder.
"I'm sorry I'm shy." He mumbled. Y/n giggled pulling away from his shoulder to boldly peck his lips. He froze again, heat rushing to his cheeks. You could almost see the steam that rush out of his ears.
"Don't forget to breathe bun. And don't worry, I like that your shy. So shy and so sweet." Y/n whispered, tapping his nose. Jungkook melted, his eyes basically having hearts in them the longer he stared at her. He knew it had it bad but that matter little to him. Y/n moved a bit to move her food tray next to his.
"Now that's over with, let's eat, shall we, my bunny?" Y/n asked smiling softly at him. Jungkook didn't even realize his leg was bouncing like some sort of rabbit. He nodded mindlessly, about to dig in his food when he decided to be bold and kiss her cheek.
However it went wrong the moment Y/n turned her head to face him. Their lips locked for a split second before Jungkook got too surprise and pulled back. Apparently he pulled back too far and banged his head against the window. He hissed and rubbed behind his head, his hoodie falling off finally.
"Oh gosh! Jungkook you okay?" Y/n had moved closer, examining his head. Jungkook with a weak groan nodded, still rubbing behind his head.
"I'm fine. Just a bit of a bump." Jungkook muttered with a hiss. Y/n shook her head with a weak laugh.
"Oh bunny, your so cute. Come here," Y/n didn't even let him get the chance, taking his cheeks in her hands and smashed their lips together. Jungkook's eyes widen, stiffening under her hold. He wasn't going to lie, he enjoyed it. Melting into her touch within a second of their kiss. His arm moved on it's own and wrapped around her waist to pull her closer. He didn't even seem to care about the fact how rosy his cheeks had gotten. All he could think about at the moment was her.
Y/n finally pulled back, releasing her hands from his face and sliding them down on his chest. She was giggling nonstop, her cheeks feeling as warm as his. Jungkook was in awe, laying his cheek on her head.
"So that means your m-my girlfriend, right?"
Y/n's giggles had turn into a bubble of laughter. She pulled back and smiled at him.
"Yes you silly bunny. God your so cute." She giggled before facing her food again.
"Now eat. You were hungry."
"R-right." Jungkook smiled shyly, finally eating his food. Midway eating his food, his phone buzzed again. Jungkook sat his food down, wiping his hands before grabbing his phone. Y/n had lazily stuffed her cheek with another nugget, while she stared at her own phone.
Jungkook unlocked his screen only to see three new messages from Namjoon. He thinned his lips, wondering if he should just ignore it or not. Despite how cruel Namjoon was towards him, he looked through the messages anyways.
"Jungkook, why are you with Y/n?"
"Jungkook?"
"Jungkook, did you forgot I like Y/n?"
Jungkook coughed, nearly choking on the fry. He dropped his phone on his lap while patting his chest from his coughing. Y/n turned her head to face him, her eyebrows furrowed.
"Woah there! Here," Y/n handed him, her pop as he swallowed it down. She lightly patted his back with worry.
"You okay bunny?"
"Y-yeah just went down the wrong pipe." Jungkook smiled nervously.
"Be careful bunny. Slow down on eating. Remember to breathe." She warned but she looked concerned. Jungkook nodded, shoving his phone back in his pocket. He could just ignore it. So what if it was the same Y/n? As selfish as it was, Jungkook just wanted her.
Besides, she also liked him as well. There was nothing Namjoon could do about it. Maybe he would've gotten the girl if he didn't take him to that stupid party. Maybe if he just took his inhaler and meds then maybe he would've had gotten Y/n to himself. But in a weird sense, it was his fault for doing this to himself.
Jungkook looked at Y/n again, grabbing all the remaining confidence he had and pecked her lips. His arm went around her waist again, lowering his head to hide into her neck. Y/n felt her heart sputtered, not really expecting something so bold from Jungkook.
"I'm so glad your here with me. I like you a lot. So don't leave me, okay?" Jungkook whispered out, nuzzling further into her neck. Y/n slowly started playing with his hair, wondering if he heard her beating heart at how close they were. With her magical fingers, all Jungkook's worries slipped away and his brain only focused on her.
"I like you a lot too Jungkook. I'm not going anywhere."
I felt like this one was really interesting to write considering the fact I suffer from asthma and anxiety, so literally the way I describe my asthma attacks is literally like how you read it. Typically my panic attacks lead to my asthma attack since I start hyperventilating then I can't breathe and all that fun stuff. And about where was his inhaler? YOU DONT KNOW HOW MUCH I HATE TAKING THAT THING-
I don't blame him though I hate my inhaler as well 😒 yeah I know I could die without it but it tastes gross if that make sense? I don't know I hate it, anyways before someone comes at me for the way I wrote Namjoon, let me just say that his character is what my insecurities like to tell me 🥴 besides it's a cute story idea no? Also yeah I hate people and parties geez that's one thing I DONT miss going to 😌
