dancer au
The rain poured down as if the clouds couldn't contain their tears any more. As if they wanted the whole world to know of their sadness. The wind was cool and howled against the windows. The sky was gray and darken but the rain poured neither too heavy or too light. But it was still a lot for normal rain that created puddles and filled up ponds. The streets echoed of cars rushing to get home while the lights flickered, lighting up the city. Rain could either be soothing or a nuisance to some people while most are not fond of the rain despite how healthy it is for the planet.
For some people, the rain brought comfort as it tapped against the winds in sweet lullabies. Hushing whispers of the wind while it lure them to sleep. While others despised it for it caused traffic and slippery roads. It also ruined plans that were planned for days or even weeks. The cool autumn rain was burdensome to her as she sat on the long brown couch with clear annoyance. The couch faced the large window in their apartment. The curtains were drew back to showcase the pouring rain.
She leaned back on the couch and crossed her arms over her chest. She was forced to confine in her small apartment when she made plans to go out. On a date nevertheless. She sighed heavily, bringing her legs up to criss cross on the couch. Her hair was pulled into two small pigtails while she wore nothing but an oversized graphic tee and some shorts underneath. The oversized shirt gazed at her thighs that swallowed her whole. She wore bright pink fuzzy socks. She also wore a black zipped sweater. Everything was oversized but her shorts and socks. Obviously belonging to her boyfriend who still was washing up. They were supposed to go out on a date which she planned for days only for rain to come and literally rain on her parade.
"This just isn't fair! It's cold and rainy and—ugh!" She grunted out of frustration. She then slipped off the couch as she stomped towards the kitchen. She opened the refrigerator with blunt force that startled the young man who just walked in.
"I had the perfect outfit and the perfect place but then rain came and ruined everything then I don't know when that stupid man Hoseok would get another day off because all he cares about is that stupid dance class he teaches—"
"Uh Y/n?"
The said woman flinched and quickly whirled her head to face her boyfriend. He was wearing an oversized white tee and black joggers. He had a white towel around his shoulders, while his hair was still damp from the shower he just got out of. He smiled nervously at her while Y/n was frowning.
"What!?"
"Are you okay?"
"No! How can I!? It's raining on your day off and my only school free day! We haven't had a date in so long now I'm here lounging around and it's the only time my introvert a** wants to go out and I can't!" She shouted as she roughly shut the refrigerator door. Hoseok flinched once more. He could heading the bottles inside clink together with how brutal her force was. His eyes widening just a fraction before he soften his expression. He knew how much she wanted to go out and he knew how busy he's been. And she was right, this was one of the few times she wanted to go out. Usually Hoseok would have to quite literally drag her out of the apartment just to have some sort of sun. It was even worse if there was people out, so her being excited over a date to the point she would ignore all these things really meant something.
"I'm really sorry sunshine. But the weather channel said the rain is only going to get worse. Look I'll ask another day off this month—"
Y/n scoffed and stomped towards the couch angrily. She flopped herself on the couch while he followed her like a lost puppy. He stood behind the couch with a frown. She wasn't even looking at him.
"That's a big a** lie. You won't do it because that stupid dance competition is coming up and you need your students to be ready for that. It's less than a month away, you think they would let you get another day off?" Y/n asked with a huff. Hoseok remained quiet. Well she was right and even after the competition is finished, he's going to have more work to do for the holidays as if the summer wasn't already hard enough.
"Whatever! I don't care about some date anyway. Go back practicing or something. I'm just gonna rewatch all Marvel movies. Well not Iron Man 3, that movie sucks." Y/n said with a scoff at the end of her sentence. She grabbed the remote and turned on the tv. Hoseok's frown deepen.
"But that's something you always do. Let's do something else." Hoseok suggested and jumped over to sit on the couch by her. He was smiling now but she just ignored him.
"That's false. I rewatch my comfort anime shows on a daily basis. If I really want to suffer, I'll watch Disney movies like Bambi." Y/n answered. She didn't even glance at him and leaned back on the couch.
"Okay let's do something else than watch movies. You don't want to be lazing around right?" He asked. Y/n had now looked at him with narrowed eyes.
"If your implying for me to workout, you won't have a girlfriend in the next five seconds." Y/n snapped. But he didn't even look offend or scared at her remark. His arms went around her while she scowled. She tried pushing him away but his arms were around her tightly.
"Let go!"
"Your just like Grumpy Bear." He giggled like a little boy. Her face felt hot as she squirmed in his hold.
"Hoseok!"
"I'm dating Grumpy Bear!"
"You have three seconds, or you could forget abou—mmh!" Her words were cut off by his lips against hers. She stiffen in his arms while he giggled into the kiss. His grip loosen and trailed down to her waist. He pulled back with another giggle and kissed her forehead. Y/n frowned but her face felt hot. She relaxed her tense muscles while he pulled her close to him.
"You are Grumpy Bear but your still my sunshine." He cooed while placing another kiss on her cheek. Y/n rolled her eyes but the heat on her cheeks didn't disappear.
"Seriously your crazy for calling me that. Everyone thinks your crazy for calling me that. Out of all the pet names to give me, why the hell is it that one?" Y/n scoffed. Hoseok leaned back to lay on the couch while dragging her. She laid her head on his chest with a frown. His fingers moved up to play with her hair. He was still smiling wide despite her frown.
"I like sunshine. Also, you are my sunshine. You make things less boring."
"I'm in introvert with issues, lots of issues. And your a fun out going handsome extrovert, we're by no means compatible. If anything you make my life less boring." Y/n remarked with another scoff. Hoseok now frowned at her remark. His fingers stopped playing with her hair.
"Is that what you think about yourself?"
Y/n shrugged and nodded against his chest.
"Uhhh yeah? Anyways what do you plan on doing since watching movies is too much for you." Y/n replied with an eye roll. Hoseok immediately sat up, but his arm was still wrapped around her waist. She blinked at the sudden movement. Her cheek was still squished against his chest.
"Um Hoseok?"
"Dancing. We're gonna dance." Hoseok answered happily. Her eyes widen and immediately she started to squirm in his hold. No wonder his grip suddenly tighten around her, because he knew she hated dancing. But her weak squirming and weak punches did absolutely nothing to him. She blamed the fact her boyfriend who was fit from all that dancing he does while she is literally married to the couch for her lack of strength. Hoseok merely threw her over his shoulder while she yelled in protest. He got off the couch while humming as if he wasn't holding a germlin on his shoulder. The said germlin punched and slapped his back.
"Hoseok! PUT ME DOWN!"
"Don't worry sunshine, it's gonna be so much fun!" Hoseok beamed while walking to the kitchen. The kitchen was the only place in their small apartment that had a enough space for the both of them to dance. Y/n squirmed even more, thrashing her arms and kicking her legs.
"I don't even know how to dance! And you Hoseok are a literal dance machine! You've known this since even before we started dating that I can't dance—woah!" Hoseok finally set her down on the kitchen counter. He patted down her wrinkles with a beaming smile. But the more Y/n looked at his expression the more she saw the secret mischief behind them. She scowled at him, slapping away his hand that slipped to her waist.
"You piece of sh—"
"My sunshine, won't you dance with me?" His voice got softer and deeper. His nose brushed against her cheek. His eyes became hooded making her muscles tense and her body freeze. His hand once more slipped back to her waist and pushed her closer to him.
Now he was being cruel.
"Sunshine?"
Y/n averted her gaze with a gritted teeth. No she would never give in temptation. She absolutely hated dancing which was ironic since she's dating a dancer. A handsome dancer at that. If there was one thing Y/n was not good at, it was definitely dancing. She could never understand how people could do it, not even her own boyfriend. If anything, watching him was enough for her. She never wanted to actually do it. She knew one of these days Hoseok would ask but she didn't think today would be that day. What was that thing her mother would always say?
'Keep saying you hate dancing and you'll end up marrying someone who loves it. You always get the opposite of what you want.'
Y/n glanced at the man before her but then immediately scowled at herself.
'Curse you Ma!'
"Sunshine, why not just one dance?" Hoseok asked, his hot breath near her ear. She shivered but she didn't lose her ground. She whirled her head to face him with a clear scowl.
"You know I can't dance. My body can't move in the same way your does. Out of all the things, why dancing!?" She shouted angrily. The more his dark eyes looked into hers, the more she felt herself waver. Hoseok's hand moved to the midsection of her back. He didn't look the slightest bit offended. He pecked her lips while his expression changed to a bright one. She will never understand how he was able to look so seductive one minute then the next smile as bright as the sun. She scoffed but her cheeks started to heat up once more.
"I can teach you, after all I am a dance teacher. Come on, one song please?" He held up one finger while his smile soften. Y/n groaned and looked away. She couldn't possibly say no to that face not when his eyes are glimmering with hope. It's just one dance. One dance that's all.
"Fine. One song, one dance and it better be an easy one. I suck at dancing, so you can't do those overly complicated ones." Y/n sighed but she gave a firm answer. His eyes brighten as he wrapped his arms around her to embrace her. He squeezed her while she squeaked at how tightly he held her.
"Yay! Okay I promise I'll pick an easy one! There's actually this one dance that's I really wanted to do with you and it's easy." He let go and walked back to the couch to grab his phone. Y/n raised an eyebrow, leaning her body slightly forward to watch him. Hoseok walked back but his eyes glued to his phone.
"Alright what dance? I swear Hoseok it better but not be anything complicated." Y/n huffed. Hoseok looked at her with a bright smile, his hand slipping back to her waist. She had her arms crossed over her chest with a clear frown. Though Hoseok did feel a little bad for forcing her to dance, he couldn't help but feel greedy at the moment. He's been dreaming to dance with her. Even if it's one dance, he'll be content. He knew she wasn't fond of these things but to him, dancing with her would be romantic. Even if it's in their kitchen with nothing but their pajamas. Sometimes he really couldn't understand her, most woman would find that romantic but her, she always scoffed at the idea. He truly wonders how he was able to even date her in the first place.
Hoseok leaned in to peck her lips once more. His expression soften.
"I promise this would be the only time you'll dance with me." Hoseok said. Y/n blinked at his sudden promise. His eyes had trailed back to his phone while humming. His one hand still lax on her hip. She bit her lip while looking at him. When he puts it in that way, it makes it sound like he would dance with other people but her. Y/n winced at the thought as her chest tighten. Now ironically, Y/n rarely ever got jealous and would rarely bat an eye if a woman flirted with her boyfriend. At the the end of the day, she knew that man would go back running to her and latch onto her like a leach. Perhaps it was because she had so much trust in him that she didn't ever have to worry about him cheating or being jealous. But in some cases, like now, jealousy fueled her. In the relationship, Hoseok got the most jealous. Y/n had to admit it was amusing seeing how quickly his personality would switch when a man got too close to her. The way his smile would drop and his eyes darken. It was an amusing sight.
But her?
Jealous?
It was rare. But a sudden thought of him dancing with anyone but her, nearly made her snort like a bull. Sure she hated dancing and sure, she wasn't the best at it, but that's no reason for a woman to come and dance with her boyfriend. It was rare for her to go to clubs or parties but if she ever did, with him, would she dance? Or would he look for someone else? Y/n clenched her jaw. Just thinking about it made her feel her blood boil. Immediately her hands reached up and grabbed his cheeks. Hoseok blinked when she forced him to look at her. His lips plucker out like a fish.
"Hoseok, forget that promise. Promise me something else!"
"Um okay?"
"Good! Promise me, you'll only dance with me. No matter where, parties or clubs, you can't go searching for anyone. I'm the only one you can dance with. You understand?" Y/n asked firmly. The fiery look in her eyes made him grin from to ear. His cheeks tinted a pink hue, smiling so wide his eyes nearly disappeared.
"I understand sunshine. Why? A little jealous?" He chuckled while wiggling his eyebrows. Y/n narrowed her eyes and pushed him away with a scowl. Her face told otherwise however.
"Me? Jealous? I could careless. I'm just saying since out of my own experience, there could be that one girl who would fall for you dancing charms. Cause I know for sure I did." Y/n remarked with a click of her tongue. Hoseok only grinned and leaned close to her face.
"You fell for my dancing?"
Y/n's eyes widen before she quickly waved him away. She cleared her throat but she cheeks still felt hot.
"I mean, yeah. You always look so passionate when dancing a-and just memorizing. Look d-don't start with this Hoseok." Y/n groaned. Hoseok giggled like a school boy before pulling her close to give her a quick kiss.
"Okay okay. Now are you ready for your dance lesson with the Jung Hoseok?" Hoseok asked proudly. Y/n groaned and looked away.
"Not really."
"It's okay, I'll take it nice and slow. It's a simple dance in my opinion. Besides, this dance I'm actually going to teach my students next week. Now come on, off the counter."
"Your the idiot who put me up here."
"And I'll be the one to take you down." Hoseok then helped her as she slipped off the counter. He was smiling while her hand was engulfed into his large one.
"Your annoying. Okay what kind of dance is it?"
"Have you ever heard of bachata?"
Y/n creased her eyebrows with a slow nod.
"Yeah isn't that like a type of music? Isn't that like Spanish music?" She asked a bit unsure. Hoseok grabbed his phone from the counter.
"Something like that. It originated from Dominican Republican. But it's very popular nowadays. I learned the dance since it's fairly easy. I think you can handle it."
"Are you sure? Does it involve me moving my hands? You know that's what I suck at the most." Y/n whined. Hoseok laughed as he shook his head.
"No, not at all sunshine. In fact, complete opposite. It involves mostly your hips." He said in a matter of fact tone. Y/n groaned, laying her forehead on his chest. Hoseok chuckled and pat her head.
"That's even worse Hoseok."
"It's not that bad, I promise. All you have to do is feel the beat." He explained. The sudden sound of the tv springing to life perked her interest. She raised her head to face the tv. He played a song on the tv that was unfamiliar for her. Hoseok then tossed his phone on the counter and took her right hand. She blinked and face him once more.
"Okay. You hear that?"
"I hear nothing but the sound of my beating heart." Y/n remarked sarcastically. Hoseok chuckled and pulled her close. His hand on her waist while the other held her hand. Her free hand placed on his shoulder. The sound of the music echoed in the small apartment. The music was interesting to her. She could hear the sound of soft bongo and guitar blended together magically in the song. There was one instrument she couldn't pick up but somehow, it made the song even better. Even though she couldn't understand a single word the man muttered in the song, she knew her focus should really be on the instruments.
"Just listen to the beat."
"That's what every dancer says. I need specifics Seokie." Y/n whined. Hoseok smiled and nodded.
"Okay. Look at my feet first. Move three steps to the right and then three steps to the left. Ready?"
Y/n swallowed thickly but nodded despite her worries. As instructed, Hoseok slowly moved three steps to the right then to the left with her following along.
"There you go. Now just a little faster, you hear how fast the beat is going right?"
Y/n nodded and did as he commanded. She moved three steps to the right then to the left a bit faster. But her legs were stiff.
"Try not to be too stiff sunshine."
"You piece of—you said this was easy." She grumbled.
"It is easy love. Just relax. Your tensing a lot. Listen to how the music is going. Try have your feet move at the same pace as the music." He explained gently. Y/n really wondered how he was able to be so patient with her. At the moment Y/n felt hot and embarrassed. It was frustrating to her. Her stiff legs wouldn't move as quickly as the song went. Her eyes watched her tensed legs try moving. She scoffed and pushed herself away from him.
"I can't do it. This is too hard." She snapped. Hoseok thinned his lips. Y/n turned around and rubbed her temple with her fingers.
"I just can't dance!"
Hoseok wrapped his arms around her waist and gave her a back hug. He laid his chin on her shoulder while she sulk in frustration.
"Yes you can. Relax love. It's an easy dance. Calm down." He reassured. Y/n crossed her arms over her chest with a frown. She leaned her head back to look at him. Hoseok rose his head to look down at her.
"No it's not. I'm too stiff. My feet aren't moving as fast as the song."
"Which is okay. How about I show you, then you try okay?" Hoseok gave her a gentle smile. Y/n scoffed and looked away.
"Fine. I don't know how that'll help but sure." Y/n shrugged. Hoseok placed a quick peck on her neck then leaned back. Y/n turned around, leaning back against the counter with her arms still crossed. Hoseok waited until another song played before he started. Just as he instructed before, he moves his feet three steps to the right then to the left. But he gradually got faster to the point he moved to the beat. All while his eye contact was focus on her. For whatever reason the stare he gave while dancing made her shy. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as her cheeks heated up.
No.
She's supposed to be focusing on his dancing, not his face. Right, she wanted to learn. If she learns this, then at least she could dance with him in something. It's an easy dance for someone who had no talent for dancing.
"Then, later on you add your hips to move the same direction and beat as your feet. As you listen to the music, it should become easier." As he said, his hips started moving at the same rhythm as his feet. But for Y/n it was getting a little difficult to pay attention to the dance when his hips moved.
'He's so unfair, looking good by just wearing simple baggy clothes. This is a crime. Wait, what am I supposed to be doing again? Ah—right, the dance.'
Y/n blinked back to reality when she realized Hoseok had stopped and held his hand out. He raised an eyebrow at her silence. His lips were parted just slightly from the dancing.
"Sunshine?"
"Huh? Yeah?"
"Are you even playing attention?"
"Of course!" Y/n shouted but her face felt incredibly hot. She was still blinking rapidly to keep her attention on him. Hoseok almost smirked at her expression. He tilted his head while his expression darken a little.
"You sure love?"
Y/n internally groaned at his tone. That teasing tone that knew otherwise. She huffed and nodded.
"Yes! Don't start with me Jung!"
"Okay then show me what I did, love."
Y/n bit her lip nervously. But she didn't back down.
"Fine! I can do it!" Y/n took a step forward. Her ears listened to the song. She hesitantly moved her feet first to the beat. Once comfortable, she started moving towards the rhythm. She could feel his burning gaze which made her swallow nervously. That scary stare of the Jung Hoseok the dancer. She internally groaned and averted her gaze elsewhere. She now remembered why everyone in his class feared his disapproval. That stare said it all.
'He should at least be a bit easy on me. I'm his girlfriend! Actually I don't think that matters. Especially since he knows I wasn't even paying attention to his lesson. Whatever! It's not like I can focus when he's looking like a Damn four course meal—'
"Love, your supposed to move your hips now." His deep voice caused her to flinch. She flickered her eyes back to him. He had his own arms crossed while his dark eyes examined her. She might just melt at the stare he gave. Most people would flinch and perhaps peed in their pants at said stare. But for Y/n? She found that insanely attractive.
'Maybe something is wrong with me.'
While her mind was elsewhere, she didn't notice when Hoseok walked towards her with his hand on her waist to pull her close. Y/n blinked back to reality the moment her eyes met his. There was a completely different song playing now. It was the same as the others but at the same time it wasn't. It sounded more modern. She blinked when the voice started speaking in English. She didn't even have time to question it when Hoseok started dancing with her. He still moved a lot more to the beat while she struggled.
"Come on sunshine, you got it." He encouraged. Y/n licked her lips and nodded. She was now more focused to catch up at the same rhythm as him. Once she was comfortable with her feet, she started moving her hips according to the beat.
She felt Hoseok's fingers slip under her chin and made her look at him.
"Good. You almost got it. Now, look up. In order to dance, you have to look at your partner." He explained.
"Yeah that's a little hard at the moment when my partner is my boyfriend." Y/n remarked with an eye roll.
"It should only be your boyfriend sunshine." Hoseok said with a smile but for whatever reason his tone made a shiver run up her spine. She cleared her throat and looked away from his dark gaze.
"Yeah whatever." She mumbled.
"God I wanna kiss you." He blurt out. Y/n gaped at his sudden proclamation.
"Huh—"
"Now I have to twirl you."
"Wait what—?"
Hoseok without warning, suddenly twirled her. It was a miracle she didn't trip and went back to her position as quick as before like it never happened.
"There you go. You got it love. Now let's move a little faster." Hoseok encouraged with a smile.
"Are we just gonna ignore what you said?"
Hoseok leaned closer to her face with a teasing grin.
"What? Would you like me to kiss you now?"
Y/n stuttered on her words. Her cheeks felt hotter while she leaned back.
"I-I—well—you k-know—"
Hoseok threw his head back in laughter while Y/n pouted. It was shocking how their bodies kept the same rhythm as the music. Y/n laid her head on his shoulder with another weak groan.
"Hoseok enough of the teasing."
"I'm sorry but it's cute and funny. But hey, I really do you think your getting good at this. See didn't I tell you it was easy?" Hoseok chuckled.
"Easy? It was easy for you! You pick up dance moves faster than me!" Y/n whined. All Hoseok did was laugh a bit more. His laughter calmed down as he twirled her once more. His smile soften the moment he brought her close. His eyes held that love struck expression that she always seen in him. Those dark brown eyes twinkling in fondness and awe. Whenever that stare was directed at her, she always felt like she would melt. Her ears hot and her eyes averted. She could almost feel her knees buckle under her. If he stared at her like that any longer, she might mess up the hard work of being in rhythm of the song.
Y/n decided in the end to look away. Her heart was thumping far too loud. She bit her lip out of nerves. Her body seem to have a mind of its own and moved beautifully in sync with his. It was strange how such a warm feeling was spread all over body over something as trivial as dancing. But dancing meant the world to him so perhaps this warm sensation was because she was doing something that he was fond of.
At the moment all she wished was to feel that warm sunshine feeling he caused forever. That feeling that made her heart flutter and sputter for more. Though she was always shy to admit it, she truly loved him. She knew for years to come that love wouldn't sputter but continued to grow.
In all honesty, she didn't think someone so fun loving and handsome like him would love her or even fall for her hot temper. But he was making that face that made her feel like his world was her. At least she knew he would love her endlessly. Maybe dancing wasn't so bad, as long as it was with him then maybe it would be bearable.
Y/n trailed her eyes back to his face. Her heart skipped a beat while looking at his face. His messy bangs tangled had brushed against the top of his eyelids. His hair had grown some but it still made him look incredibly handsome. Her eyes trailed down to his eyes. Those dark eyes were already staring into hers. The song kept playing but all she could pay attention to was how he hummed along. That's when realization hit her.
He's been humming that tone all day.
"Hoseok?"
He merely nodded his head as a response while he continued to hum along the song. His smile never wavered nor did that look in his eyes. It was funny really, how Y/n had planned such a grand date where she would dress up and look pretty just to get that stare from him. And yet, she was merely dressed in his T shirt and sweatshirt with shorts, dancing with him the kitchen only for him to give the look she loved. The look where she felt loved.
"What's the name of the song?"
Hoseok had slowed his steps and so did she. By now they were both swaying. He tilted his head with a soft smile. He stopped his humming.
"Sin Fin. It means never ending or endless." He answered softly. Her heart sputtered and her face heated up.
"The song is talking about how their love will be endless and forever." He explained further. His nose brushed against hers while she stiffen. Not because she was embarrassed but more because she was shy. The only person to make her sputter and become a stuttering mess was him. He figuratively and literally took her breath away.
"I'm sure you haven't listened to the song since your too busy staring at me," He teased. Y/n groaned and looked away.
"But I'm sure you would've found out if you just listen to the song what it was about. It's not completely in Spanish." He reasoned with a teasing grin. Y/n was about to scold at him for teasing her but then her ears picked up the English words that flows through the song.
"You already know this love is yours, baby.
So take it.
We've been here before.
It's strong enough to save us, oh baby."
Y/n looked at Hoseok at that moment. He was humming along to the song once more. They were both swaying together while he hummed. Her heart sputtered for a moment and her cheeks started to heat up. He started softly sing the lyrics. Well only the English ones. Y/n couldn't help but giggle. The way he didn't even attempt to mutter the Spanish lyrics made her giggle. Hoseok chuckled along with her and laid his forehead against hers. He pulled her close with a fond smile.
"Sorry. I'm not really good with Spanish."
"I could tell. Don't worry I'm not any better." She giggled. His expression only grew softer as he fluttered his eyes close. Y/n saw the way his cheeks had a pink tint to them despite such a soft expression. Her eyes then trailed to the ground with her own fond smile.
"Thank you Hoseok." She whispered. Hoseok opened his eyes once more and leaned back a little. He tilted his head as he blinked.
"For what?" He asked. Y/n wrapped her arms around his neck with another giggle. The warm feeling spreading in her chest. She felt so giggly and happy. It was such a gloomy day, with rain endlessly falling, the clouds pouring their tears on the earth. The cloud let everyone know how gloomy they felt with the nonstop rain that came in. But perhaps it wasn't so bad. Not that Y/n didn't like the rain. In fact it was quite the opposite, she enjoyed it. She liked staying in as it is. But today was supposed to be special. In a way, it still was.
Yes her plan for the date was entirely ruined from the pouring rain and slippery roads, but the more she thought about, the more she realized it really didn't matter if they went out to some fancy restaurant or to the movies, really all it matter to her was being with him. She loved that fluttering feeling that brisk like sunshine against her skin. She couldn't explain it but the feelings he caused that no one else can, was addicting. She knew her hot temper got her in a lot of trouble or even the fact she was hard to deal with at times, she was still thankful to him. Though her saying thank you at moment wasn't just because of that but mostly for the way he handled the date.
"For being you. Your sunshine self." She replied with a bright smile.
Her hear couldn't stop thumping like a drum, not knowing how her heart thumped the same song as Hoseok. Maybe she didn't need to know, not with the he looked at her. So warming, so sweetly, so fondly. Looking into his dark orbs was like getting lost into a pool of sweet honey. She wasn't even aware of the fact her smile and stare was melting him internally. If he could, his knees would buckle and give out. But his body kept swaying towards the rhythm of the song. It seem not only did their hearts beat at the same song but so did their movements.
To him, she was as warm and caring as the sun. That's why that sweet pet name he gave her was sunshine. To her it was ridiculous to have such a pet name when she was grumpy majority of the time. They were both completely different. And yet, somehow it still worked out. Though it really didn't matter they didn't have a lot in common or that their personalities were different, because what mattered was the way they loved each other. That alone was enough for the both of them to keep this relationship going.
"You know, I could say the same. Well your more of a rain cloud than anything." He joked with a grin. Y/n scoffed, slipping her hands down to wrap around her waist. She was hugging him at this point. She laid her head on his chest.
"Trust me I already know. But you still insist that I am sunshine related."
"Because you light—"
"If you say that I light up your world like nobody else, I'm going to blow my brains out." Y/n retorted. Hoseok blinked but couldn't help but chuckle. Y/m didn't move from her spot nor did she look up at hm.
"I don't why you wanna suddenly quote some One Direction song, but say something less romantic and more original."
Hoseok thought for a moment before speaking.
"Okay. Your are my sunshine because that sun will give it's glow to the earth endlessly." His eyes then trailed down to hers. She was already looking at him wide eyed and lips parted. She was expecting that. His hand raised to gently tuck a strand of hair behind her ear.
"So please set your glow on me endlessly sunshine." He whispered. Her heart skipped a bit at the way he looked at her. Hid dark eyes hooded while one hand cupped her cheek gingerly. It was such a peaceful moment. The song not even reaching her ears. only the sound of her thumping heart. Once more that warmth spread all over her body like a shiver.
But the silence never lasts with her around and this Hoseok knew.
"Yeah but the sun is a star so it's gonna explode sooner or later." She responded. Hoseok blinked before breaking into laughter. His eyes closing from how much he was laughing. He stepped back to wrap his arms over his tummy while he hunched over in laughter. Y/n scoffed at his reaction but her smile didn't stop spreading.
Yes, she'll be with him endlessly.
Just like the sun and earth.
So there's like this whole back story why I wrote this. The main reason being because of the song which is called Sin Fin by Romeo Santos and Justin Timberlake. Now if your Hispanic or any of the sort then you know who Romeo Santos is. I'm Latina so yeah I know who that is, that's my mom's boyfriend. Yeah I'm not even kidding my mom loves him. Also she's loves Justin Timberlake so when this song came out my mom was like "My boyfriends did a song together!" Now I know where I get my fangirl tendencies from.. anyways I've been wanting to write a oneshot where Hobi is dancing to some bachata music for quite some time now. This song just kinda pushed me to do it. Now originally I was gonna make the reader like Hispanic or something like that but then I decided against because I wanted everyone to enjoy it and relate to rather than a couple, you know what I mean?
Another thing I hope you guys don't think I neglected this book because I haven't, let me tell you, just look at the amount of drafts I have in this book
You see that? 10 out of 36 chapters!?! That means I have 26 drafts in this book 💀 I have tons of ideas yet so little inspiration to write them it's bad 💀💀 keeps my addiction of writing new books in check though 💀💀 anyways nah but seriously I hope you guys like it and you guys should totally listen to it. It's really good song!
