The grass was gently swaying with the trees and the wind humming in the breeze. The warm sun let the earth brisk its warm rays. Birds and animals chirped in forest causing endless echos. It was a beautiful warm April day. The meadow was clear from humans and the air fresh.

A small boy walked near his mother, clutching onto her white blue dress. His mother had straight hair that waved in the ends. It was a soft light brown with light brown freckles peppering her cheeks and nose. Her ears flickered and her tail barley making out of her white blue dress. It was shoulder cut, with puffy sleeves that reached down towards mid way of her arms. The ruffled bounced among her skirt and her shoes white flats that hid underneath her long skirt. A blue white choker hugged her throat and a white flower crown stood on her head.

She elegantly walked through the meadow with no fear and her head up high. But her eyes were a soft gold, warm swarmed in them. The boy clutches her bouncing skirt with his own white button shirt tucked in his back trousers. His boots making soft thumps in the grass. His large wide honey eyes searched through the tall grass. His own golden flower crown rested on his head.

"Mother? Where are we?" The boy asked. His mother continued to walk as her sweet voice spoke up.

"In the meadow. It's the only meadow that we have that humans aren't aware of. It's called Aurora. Named after the beautiful sunrise that you see from here. But we're here to meet someone special, an old friend of mine."

"Really? Are they deers like us mother? Royals like us?"

His mother chuckled, halting her steps as she came in view of the large marigolds in the distance.

"Not royals, but they are deers. You are aware of the Florals?"

"Of course mother. They help the trees and plants to bloom. Especially during the spring where winter turns into spring. It's a very difficult job from what I read."

His mother beamed, clasping her hands together.

"Yes! You are a very smart boy Hoseok! Florals are deers with the power to heal and grow plants. They grow the plants in the forest just like the Water Lilies maintains the water and ponds. We deer are very important to the forest. Well my friend was a florals. We are going to meet her and her daughter."

Hoseok was about to speak when a women with a green lace dress walked towards their direction. Flowers bloomed around her dress leaving her with just lace see through sleeves. A vine gently wrapped around her waist and two curved ears bounced on her head. Her cheeks sprinkled with golden flakes like freckles. She held her skirt with a beaming smile. A girl walked next to her with the same dress but golden. Her hair was down and her skin glowed from the warm rays. She even had the golden freckles her mother possessed. She had the same curved ears confirming she was a deer like him.

"Primrose!"

"Dami!"

The women embraced one another with beaming smiles. Hoseok was more confused, questions swirling in his head. The small girl who seem about his age was too engrossed with her mother.

"It's been years!"

"I'm aware! But I do apologize, you know how my husband gets."

The women scoffed, pulling away from the embrace to cross her arms over her chest with distaste.

"Your husband is a bastard who shouldn't have an opinion on your life. Nor set rules as if he owns the relationship. Besides he could choke for all I care!"

"Primrose!"

"What? He's so irritating for no reason. Hating me for being a Florals. That's a very important job to have in this environment. Some audacity he has." Primrose huffed. Dami sighed, giving a small chuckle.

"Alright. Well then, this must be your daughter?"

"Oh silly me yes! Y/n flower, this is my friend, Dami this is Y/n my daughter."

"Hello nice to meet you your highness." The small child took a courtesy bow before standing straight. Dami waved her hand with a smile.

"Please no need to bow. Y/n? I am surprise you haven't kept the tradition of naming your daughter after a flower."

"As if! There's many Roses and Lily's and Daisy's in this forest! I'm not naming her after a flower, she's going to be different."

"Different? I suppose. Well then! Hoseok?"

The shy boy perked his head, his hands clutching tighter on her dress.

"Oh his name is Hoseok? Hello Hoseok!" Y/n beamed, extending her hand out. She gave a huge smile which caught Hoseok off guard. He moved behind his mother, his brown ears pinned back with shyness.

"I said hello." Y/n pouted still no answer from Hoseok. She tried walking near him but he quickly redraw. Y/n tugged her mother's skirt with a frown.

"I don't think he likes me mother."

"Oh nonono he's just shy. Come on Hoseok." His mother urged. Hoseok gave his mother a pleading look.

"Your not afraid of her are you?" His mother teased. Hoseok quickly shook his head, but his eyes told otherwise. His mother stepped behind him, and gently pushed him towards Y/n who was beaming like the sun.

"Then say hello back."

Hoseok swallowed thickly, staring at the little girl. He rubbed his arm while his ears pinned back to his head in a shy manner. His cheeks rosy as the flowers that surrounded them.

"H-Hello. I'm Prince Hoseok." He greeted quietly. Y/n took his hand, holding it with her smile never wavering.

"Hello Prince Hoseok. I'm Y/n. Let's be friends, just like our mothers!"

Rain fell from the skies, it was light but the sky still had a grey hue to it from the clouds. The small droplets fell upon the trees in the forest, echoing the sound. It was a lukewarm spring day with the spring showers lightly pouring from the skies. The forest filled with lavish greens of plants and trees. But deep in the forest was a castle, it was built entirely by white marble. Vines crawled about around the beautiful sculpture. It was surrounded by trees giving it a natural barrier.

A prince was leaned against his window slit, watching the rain fall. He had soft brown hair, two deer ears curved on the side of his head. A pair of large antlers danced beautifully on his head. They weren't too large but they weren't too small either. Just enough to keep his head steady and ready to charge at anything. His skin honey colored and white freckles peppered his cheeks. His honey toned eyes stared at the droplets.

His attire was a floral black suit with colorful designs of florals dancing around the coat. White shirt underneath his suit with puffy sleeve cuffs and a ruffle near his chest. Black trousers and black dress shoes. A floral golden crown laid neatly on his head without hurting his ears nor antlers.

His ears flickered at the soft tapping coming from his window. He could almost smell the rain if it wasn't for the fact his window was closed. He sighed almost as melancholy as the sky. He pushed himself off the wall and walked towards his desk with papers splattered everywhere. The rain was a sign that spring was here but for the prince, it was just another day closer to him becoming king of the forest.

He sat down on the wooden chair, grabbing the feathery pen to continue his work. But before he could, a knock of was heard.

"Come in."

The door open with a man with dark black hair, some strands white and small ears on his head. Head to toe was wearing black and a long fluffy tail behind him with a white line in the middle. He had plump pink lips and his hair parted in the middle. He gave a small smile to the prince who looked exhausted from all the paperwork piled on his desk.

"Oh? Jimin, what are you doing here?" The prince asked, setting down his pen own once more. Jimin walked through the door and gently shutting it behind him before taking his long legs to the prince.

"Well I heard you were stressing out about the whole coordination that's in a couple of months and thought I would stop by to ease this tensions. After all, I am one of your best friends." Jimin smiled. Hoseok gave a small weak smile in return, leaning back on his chair.

"I am. Honestly it's tiring, father has given me more work. I'm supposed to be working but I just feel tired and bored. Oh to be a child again is all I ask for." Hoseok leaned his chin on his palm with a heavy sigh. Jimin leaned against the wooden desk with a chuckle.

"You only wish to be a child again is so you can see Y/n again." Jimin gave a teasing smile. Hoseok felt a blush spread among his cheeks. His hand slipped and dropped his chin as he lightly glared at Jimin.

"No. As a child I didn't have this many responsibilities. Y/n has nothing to do with this. You and Jungkook always say such nonsense. Besides, Y/n has a lot of responsibilities as well. She's the leader of the Florals now. Meaning she's in charge of the plants in the forest. Even more so now since Spring is here. You and Jungkook are so foolish." Hoseok huffed, crossing his arms over his chest in a defensive manner. But all Jimin did was roll his eyes, grabbing his pen to play with it. His fingers playing with the soft feather.

"Call it what you will but I certainly remember you getting quite jealous when Y/n used to call me flower. And let's not forget how she would swoon over how cute Jungkook was. You would always get so red at how jealous you would get. I was so sure that rabbit had her heart." Jimin grinned, throwing the pen back on his desk. Hoseok felt his eyebrow twitch in annoyance, frowning at his remarks.

"This is not easing my stress. Look even if I did like Y/n, there was no way me and her could ever be together. She's a florals and I'm a prince. Father would never approve it."

"Your going to be king soon, does it really matter if your father has an opinion about it or not?"

"To me it does because it's against tradition. And I don't like her, there's no way I'm twitterpated for my childhood friend. We are merely friends. End of discussion." Hoseok now rose from his chair to walk back to the window. Jimin watched him with a raised eyebrow.

"You know, Yoongi the wise owl is never wrong. He's right about these things, your just the one denying them. Whatever the case is, I suggest you make a move soon. I heard there's many deer after your doe." Jimin shrugged casually, placing his hands in his pockets. Hoseok stiffen, turning head to face Jimin who was grinning evilly.

"Now I know for sure, your lying. Whatever your trying to do is not working." Hoseok crossed his arms over his chest again.

"Right, because the way your body reacted proves otherwise. Also I'm not lying, there's many bucks interested in her. Look I'm just saying Hyung, that you haven't seen Y/n in years. Perhaps now would be a good time?" Jimin asked. Hoseok place his hand behind his back, rubbing his neck with thinned lips.

"I don't know Jimin. What if she doesn't like me anymore? Look maybe I'll go visit her. But for now I have work to do." Hoseok quickly changed the subject not wanting to discuss it anymore. Jimin sighed but gave a weak nod. Hoseok had always done this for years now. Whenever he can he would just avoid visiting his childhood friend, he's been quite successful for the past years. Ever since he returned from studying abroad seven years ago, he's avoided his friend who he left four years prior to that. Just thinking about her doe teary eyes caused heartache. But he needed to, otherwise he wouldn't be able to become the prince he is now.

He place his hand on his forehead the moment he sat back down.

Just exactly what he was doing?

He wasn't so sure himself.

Hoseok blankly stared down at the papers. Mindlessly grabbing the pen to get right to work. Jimin sat near him, taking half the papers. He looked through them as he always did whenever Hoseok needed help.

Even though Jimin and Jungkook were Hoseok's friends for years, they both truly knew that Y/n was his best friend. Perhaps even more which is something they had hoped. It was so clear in their eyes when they were young but both so naive to the feeling of love. Being a child was something they all craved.

"Do you want me to bring in Jungkook? This pile seems pretty steep." Jimin asked, placing the papers back on the desk. Hoseok glanced at Jimin before nodding.

"Yes. Father really gave me a lot this time around." Hoseok sighed, rubbing his temple. Jimin nodded and rose from his seat.

"Of course. I guess your father is still as merciless as I remember. Has anything really changed?" Jimin asked, placing his hands on his hips with an eye roll at the mere mention of the King.

"You know he's been like that since the Queen passed. It's not really his fault." Hoseok defended. Jimin place his hand on his shoulder.

"Is that why you ran away from Y/n?"

Hoseok lightly shoved his hand away, feeling the ache in his heart throb.

"No. Please let's just finish this work." Hoseok at this point sounded desperate, even his eyes held desperation.

"Alright, alright I'll stop. And I'll go get that rabbit. Probably his mouth is getting him into trouble as if right now." Jimin sighed dramatically. Hoseok gave a small smile in return.

"As if your mouth doesn't get you in trouble, skunk." Hoseok teased. Jimin merely waved him off, placing his hand on his chest.

"It's not my mouth but my f*cking tail that gets me in trouble. Like why the hell is it so big for? It bumps into everything and anything. Seriously! It literally covers me!" Jimin whined his tail dragging behind him even as he left. Hoseok chuckled to himself, laying his chin on his palm. His eyes wondered back to the window while the rain tapped against the glass.

Jimin and Jungkook had been by his side for years, however Hoseok couldn't push them away like how he did to Y/n. They were too stubborn and stuck to his side like glue, following him literally everywhere. They even went to his boarding school as him. They refused to leave his side no matter what. For their loyalty, Hoseok made them his Royal advisors. Even when he's king they will stick to his side.

However, both wished at least one of them stayed. Y/n was alone, with the florals stereotype stuck to her like glue. Florals were treated as outcasts in the kingdom despite their heavy burden they carried. Reason why she was so happy to become friends with the prince, just to have someone to play with.

That throbbing ache came back again, making Hoseok drop his pen and place his hands on his face. The guilt was eating him alive. Sure the guilt was there but he would drown himself in work and merely wave off those emotions. But it was always during spring that the emotions would be too much to bare. Perhaps because they met in the spring and the flowers bloomed that reminded him of her.

"I'll visit her soon, I just need to finish this paper work." He muttered to himself. That seem to soothe his pain, his fingers picking up the pen once more to continue his work.

🦌🦌🦌🦌

Now somewhere deep in the forest, a woman was making sure each plant had enough water from the rain. Her hair was down with her green dress flowing behind her. The lacy sleeves filled with flowers and her feet bare. Her deer ears twitching at the tapping rain. The flowers bloom just the touch of her hand. The branches of the trees would cover her from the rain leaving her dry as the sun. Not a single drop fell on her.

"It's time to wake up my loves. Spring is here." She sang. The moment her voice spoke, the flowers bloom at her command.

"Oh Mistress Y/n!"

Y/n turned her head, as a woman ran to her. Her eyes blue and orange like the tiger lilies Y/n had just bloom. Y/n was sitting on her knees, yet no dirt touched her skirt.

"Oh? Tiger Lily? Is something the matter? And please shush some of the Lillies are sleeping." Y/n hushed while the woman blushed from embarrassment.

"Right. I apologize Mistress." Tiger Lily apologized but her eyes twinkled with excitement. Y/n now stood up, patting down her wrinkles.

"It's alright Tiger, is something the matter? You seem fairly excited about something." Y/n smiled.

"Oh right! I am Mistress! You see I have finally gotten engaged! Can't you believe it Mistress?" Tiger Lily squealed. Y/n felt her eyes waver but still pulled her lips into a smile. She clasped her hands together.

"That's wonderful Tiger. You must be so excited! When do you plan on being wed?"

"In two months time! Oh I can't wait that long Mistress! But my lover wants to wait until the raining seasons are over and when the flowers bloom the most which is summer. He frankly hates the rain. I suppose he's a bit right about how wet it is but I quite love it if I'm being honest." The deer giggled. Y/n soften her stare, placing her hand on her shoulder.

"I'm very happy for you Tiger Lily. Have you told the others?"

"Not yet! But during our feast tonight I will! Oh and don't tell anyone that I told you but! Stargazer is also engaged. Isn't that exciting?" Tiger Lily beamed.

"Oh really? Wow that's truly amazing. I suppose it makes seen many of the does here are already at the age of getting married. I heard Sasa-Yuri is also engaged as well. And don't worry, I won't tell a soul." Y/n smiled. Tiger Lilly clapped her hands like a child, happiness surround her despite the rain that fell.

"And what about you Mistress? Are you engaged?"

It was such an innocent question yet it was enough to put Y/n in a dampened mood. She gave a weak smile.

"No. Nor am I looking to settle down anytime soon Tiger. I have this forest to maintain, it would be simply time consuming looking for a partner. My time and efforts are needed here, in the vast forest." Y/n explained, but her words sounded like she was trying to convince herself rather than the woman in front of her.

"But we all help maintain the forest. Surely it's not bad to seek someone Mistress. Why not that handsome man who always comes to court you?" Tiger Lily asked. Y/n wanted to roll her eyes at the mention of him.

"I rather not marry that brute. Now enough of that, your in charge of the Pine Trees today along with Iris. Let's hurry because the first day of spring is in two days and we have until then to wake up all the flowers and trees." Y/n urged, but her voice soft.

"Of course!-"

"Tiger lower your voice please."

"-Right, sorry. I'll get going then Mistress. See you at the feast." She whispered out before disappearing into the vast luscious green forest. Y/n sighed, looking up at the branches that kept her dry from the rain.

"Another one huh? Am I just that unappealing? No, you have many bucks who are interested, you just refuse them." Y/n was now speaking to herself angrily. She started to walk through the forest, the branches keeping her dry. The birds watched her with confusion as she spoke to herself.

"You whine and pout about not having anyone, yet you make it so difficult for yourself!" Y/n angrily stomped through the grass.

"But can you blame me? They all just stick to the fact I'm a Florals, which are known to sleep around. And maybe that's true to some sense, but I'm not like that. And even though my mother was that type of person, doesn't mean I am!" Y/n whined, stopping near a maple tree. She picked up the bucket that was hanging from the branch. It was filled with the water that fell from the sky. A bird perch itself on her shoulder, chirping.

"Oh who am I kidding? That's not the reason, and you know it! That stupid prince who's in that stupid castle has my stupid heart! Ridiculous isn't it little birdie?" Y/n asked the bird that perched on her shoulder. She carried the bucket as she moved along the forest. The rain has stopped and the clouds were starting to clear. The bird chirped as if it agreed to whatever she was saying.

"Suppose it don't matter does it birdie? I should probably just focus on feeding you and the beautiful plants." Y/n smiled, moving a couple of bushes aside before she continued to walk. She came across a large pine tree with a man sleeping against the branch. His wings slipping off the branch while he laid on his belly. His arm on his chin acting like some sort of pillow while his other hand and wings hanged off the branch. He had ashy colored hair that fell on his eyes, his skin milky white like the wings he had. Their feathers fell off the branch like snow. His pouty lips were parted as he snored.

Y/n gently knocked on the bark of the tree. The man snorted before smacking his lips together. He sat up, his legs now dangling. He rubbed his eyes, barely opening them to glance down at Y/n. She smiled, holding the bucket up.

"Good afternoon Yoongi! I bought the water you asked for yesterday." Y/n greeted happily. Yoongi slipped down the branch with ease. He grabbed the bucket, then pouring it on himself. Y/n giggled while he shivered. He ruffled his hair but his eyes were now fully open. Y/n always thought he was odd for that, but grown quite used it to by now. He was a wise friendly owl, well friendly too some degree. He was blunt and only spoke the truth which made him unlikeable. Y/n befriended him many years ago when the prince left her alone. Ever since then, they had been friends. She's still not used to his bluntness however.

"Nothing better rain being poured on you. Is it really afternoon though Y/n?"

"Yes the sun is high Yoongi. If I'm guessing, it's past noon at most. But yes it is Yoongi." Y/n said. Yoongi shook his wet hair and large wings. He combed his hair and yawned.

"Ah okay whatever. Anyways, you look sh*tty." Yoongi yawned. Y/n glared at him, the bird flying off her shoulder to join the other birds in the tree. This is exactly what she meant when she says he's frankly very blunt.

"Well hello to you too sunshine. How do I look sh*tty? That's rude you know, and vulgar." Y/n huffed. Yoongi leaned against the tree with his yellow eyes being as lazily as his body language.

"It might be rude and vulgar but you said it. Which is funny you considering the fact you always have something to say about my unkind words." Yoongi used his fingers as quotation marks.

"They are unkind and rude. This is why people don't like you. You seem to always know how to offend people. And say the meanest things." Y/n crossed her arms over her chest, her glare still present. Yoongi lazily stuffed his hands in his pockets.

"It's not mean when I'm being truthful, people just hate the truth which is why they lie. I'm not going to lie if someone asked if their ugly or not. Just like right now, you look like sh*t. Did someone offend you?" Yoongi pointed to her face while Y/n frowned.

"Ugh, am I that easy to read?"

"Not really. But considering I'm your only friend after Prince Bambi left. But seriously what happened?" Yoongi asked, despite his relax posture, his eyes swarmed with worry. Y/n sighed, lowering her head. Y/n was the only few deer Yoongi actually grew attached to, while he really didn't care for the other forest animals, he did greatly cared for Y/n. Even that prince who's multiple times ripped her heart out. And Yoongi though he was the predator.

"No one offended me. Just Spring is here again meaning the lovey dovey season is back. Meaning every doe available is going to get wed or have a partner or laid! Me? I'm not. It just reminds me of how lonely I am Yoongi. And that prince! That-"

"Sh*tty prince?"

"Right! That! He has had my heart for years now Yoongs. And ugh! I haven't seen him since he was 13! 13 Yoongi! I am 24 years old and still haven't seen him since! Despite him returning seven years ago!" Y/n was now angrily splatting whatever came on her mind. Yoongi listened to her, a bit amused at how angry she was.

"I like him Yoongi! And he just makes everything difficult because I am a florals!-" Y/n stopped her rambling, realization hitting her like a bus. She looked at Yoongi with her wide glossy eyes. She grabbed his sleeve with trembling lips

"You don't think he hates me now he knows what Florals are known for? Do you?" Y/n whispered out. Yoongi place his hand on her head as he shook his head.

"No. I don't think so. He knows the real you and not that label people pass around. He's perhaps busy, I don't know but I know he doesn't dislike you." Yoongi soothed, giving her a small smile. Y/n laid her head on his forearm. Her hand lightly squeezing his arm. Her ears pinned behind her head while even the grass started to wither at her somber mood.

"I hope your right Yoongi. I should be used to it anyway but I'm not. It just hurts a lot, you know? Maybe I'm wasting my time on waiting for him. It's clear I mean a lot less to him, or perhaps I didn't mean that much to him as I would like to think. Maybe he was just forced to hang around me because of his mother and turned the other way the moment she passed." Y/n was speaking softly while her eyes flickered with sadness. Yoongi looked a bit taken back. He definitely knew otherwise.

"Now don't be hasty Y/n. I'm sure you meant a lot to him-"

"Yoongi you don't have to keep saying that to make me feel better. I'm aware otherwise." She patted his arm. She took a step back, fixing her hair then grabbing the bucket.

"I have to go. The meadows need tending." Y/n said. For whatever reason Yoongi's words were stuck in his throat. He closed his mouth, pulling his lips into a sad smile.

"Be careful will you? It's dangerous there."

"I know. Don't worry I'm aware Yoongi. I'll see you tomorrow Yoongs." Y/n waved at him before turning her heel and heading towards the meadows. By now the sun was peeking through the leaves and branches. More animals were out, birds tweeting and the air filled with fresh scents. Y/n was careful with her bare feet, having moss appear whenever she stepped on the ground.

Y/n hummed a random tone, her eyes looking around the trees. The bucket swing back and forth against her fingers. She heard soft mutters and whispers from the other florals, most likely gossiping about the new engagements and possibly how lonely their leader was.

"Spring is truly a beautiful and bitter season. Love is in the air and my heart is broken since the most beautiful doe always refuses me."

Y/n jumped at the new voice. There leaning against a tree was a man with light brown hair that gelled back to show his forehead. His plump lips pulled into a pout. His skin was tan and smooth, his ears pinned pinned back on his head. On his head was sand color antlers that weren't too big for his head. He was wearing a black vest with a white dress shirt underneath and tucked in his black trousers.

He didn't have the freckles Y/n loved on Hoseok. In fact Y/n was quite sure Hoseok was the only male deer that didn't grow out of his freckles. At least that's what she's heard since she's never even seen his face. Y/n was starting to think Hoseok purposely avoids her. It only further proved Y/n that Hoseok didn't like her.

"Ah. Seokjin, you scared me." Y/n place a hand on her chest with a deep breath. Seokjin pushed himself out of the tree and handed her a banquet of violets. Y/n blinked, the natural scent of flowers hitting her nose.

"For you m'lady." Seokjin smiled, his eyes shining with adoration. Y/n cleared her throat before taking the banquet. It was something he did but she could never get quite used to.

"Violets my favorite. You finally got it right. Why thank you Seokjin." Y/n thanked with a wary smile. She already knew where this was heading. She could hear the giggles and whispers from the other Florals. Her hand gripped the banquet, letting some wither slightly.

Seokjin was the brute Y/n had mention earlier. Well he wasn't much of a brute but he was cocky. He knew how handsome he was and used that to his advantage but it only seem like he had eyes only for her. A reason Y/n just couldn't figure out. No matter how many times she's denied him, he always come back with shining eyes and a new flower banquet.

Each time trying to guess what her favorite flower was. It was a thing many Florals had. They all had favorite flowers, typically it was the one they were named after or born near one. However, since Y/n wasn't named after a flower, Seokjin thought it was some game trying to guess hers. It appears today was the day he got it right. He also was frankly sweet despite being cocky about his looks. It was the only thing he was ever cocky about anyway. Everything else he would simply turn into mush if Y/n praised him.

He really was a kind buck, probably the most kind she's ever met. Well second to Hoseok of course. It's probably why so many people have told her how crazy she was for denying him. But her heart wasn't even with him but the man inside the castle. It wouldn't be so bad would it? Marrying this man? He's been nothing but sweet to her. Isn't that what any woman has ever wanted? A kind and sweet man who would take care of her? And Y/n can't forget this man doesn't seem to care about her being a florals.

Isn't that what always stopped her?

Her label?

But this man clearly could careless about it.

So what exactly was she waiting for?

Y/n stared at the bright purple flowers, getting ready to hear him speak. She saw how he shyly rubbed his neck but gave a confident smile.

"Oh really? Yes! Well today might be my lucky day! So you already know how this goes, but I'll say it again! Y/n would you like to-"

"Yes."

Seokjin blinked, looking at her.

"Come again?"

"Yes Seokjin, I'll like to go on a date with you." Y/n flashed him a smile even though her mind was having emotional turmoil. Seokjin blushed deeply, it spreading to his ears. He wasn't expecting Y/n to actually say yes.

"G-good! The pond by willow trees! Tomorrow, how does that sound?" He tried to not stutter with a bright smile. Y/n soften her expression, giggling at his question.

"That sounds wonderful. I'll be there at sun fall."

"R-right! See you then!" Seokjin was now blushing madly, his ears and cheeks as red as the roses he near stepped on. She heard the excited whispers and mutters behind her.

"You finally have someone Mistress! Oh Spring is the going to be the most lovely this year!" One of the florals swoon. She hugged Y/n who smiled. She laughed, lightly patting the small doe.

"Thank you Jasmine. Yes Spring is going to be the most lovely this year." Y/n stared down at the flowers again, her heart aching at the sight of them. Violets, beautiful and a vibrant purple, also the birth flower for February.

How bittersweet.

"You done now?"

Jungkook was thumping his leg while impatiently waited for Hoseok to read the last paper so they could finally be done. The sun was setting and the animals were already heading off the bed while the nocturnal roamed the forest. Hoseok was scanning through his paper, the pen still in his hand.

"Don't rush me Jungkook. It's important to look throughly on these papers. When signing bills or treaties it's good to read the whole thing before putting your signature. I have to make sure it benefits both sides and not just one. Otherwise that could cause divisions later." Hoseok explained. Jimin was also starting to grow bored, laying on the Prince bed, playing with his long tail. Jungkook had been pacing but was now sitting on the chair and thumping his leg.

"Yeah whatever. Just hurry and finish Hyung!" Jungkook whined. Hoseok finally signed the paper and laying it on the other pile they had finish. He place down his pen and stretched.

"There Jungkook. Now what is it you want that's making you squirm? I know you couldn't focus and Jimin had done majority of your work." Hoseok asked with a raised eyebrow. Jungkook stood up from his spot, crossing his arms over his chest.

"I want to go visit the kingdom is what I want to do. They are doing a feast to celebrate Spring! We don't usually go to them because we always have some stupid treaty we have to sign in your father's place. But this year! We don't, now let's go Hyung!" Jungkook whined, pulling his arm. Hoseok felt his soul leave his body.

That was today?!

Typically Hoseok would avoid that as much as he could knowing full well Y/n would be there. Did his father really have nothing for him today? How is it he was able to avoid it for years and now it's come to the day where he can't.

"Ah right I forgot about that feast. Actually I think it would be great going considering the fact you haven't been outside the castle for years Hoseok Hyung. It would be good for you, besides as King you are obliged to go anyways. Might as well go." Jimin slipped off the mattress and stretched his stiff body.

"I-I mean of course but I'm quite beat. I think I'll just turn in the night." Hoseok cleared his throat with a nervous smile. But Jimin and Jungkook read him like an open book. Jimin was now pushing him out of the room while Jungkook started dragging his arm.

"Yeah that's not gonna work. Come on, you can't avoid Y/n forever as much as you want too. Your heartless for treating your best friend like that." Jimin clicked his tongue and shoved Hoseok out of the room. Hoseok stumbled but didn't even have time to react while Jungkook started dragging him down the long hallways. Jimin following behind just so Hoseok wouldn't escape.

"S-shouldn't I get dress?"

"What your wearing is fine. Besides knowing you, you would purposely take forever just so you wouldn't go and waste all your time on your hair to wait out the party. Like you've done the past years." Jungkook lightly glared at Hoseok before he continued to walk.

"You know how many times you would do that in boarding school? Just to miss out the parties they had? It's not gonna work on us Hyung." Jimin snorted, following right behind him. Hoseok frowned, the dread becoming worse. Why does his friends have to know him so well?

"Fine but only a couple of hours and then we leave because I actually do have to wake up early tomorrow." Hoseok sighed, finally giving in their demands.

"Great! Now let's go! I could finally visit my brothers!" Jungkook beamed, dragging Hoseok as he ran. Hoseok smiled a bit at his words. Right it's been quite some time since Jungkook has seen his family, he must miss them greatly. Perhaps just for their sake, he'll stay a little longer than he intended too. Maybe endure his dread and guilt for bit, letting loose.

As if.

There was absolutely no way he can let loose knowing the woman he liked was there.

It was almost too easy for Jungkook to slip out of the castle, so easy that Hoseok wondered how many times did Jungkook slip out of the castle without getting caught by the knights surrounding the castle. Jungkook let his noise lead him to the feast knowing the great bonfire would fill his nose. He followed the smell of burnt wood while still dragging the prince. Jimin followed behind, a lot more calmer than Jungkook who was so excited that his small cotton tail was wiggling behind him.

"Excited much?" Hoseok chuckled, moving the bushes aside. He couldn't help but find his cotton tail wiggling, funny. Jungkook beamed, turning to face the prince with a wide smile.

"Yes! We've been deprived of what this kingdom holds for years Hyung! And my brothers! I'm so excited to see them!" Jungkook exclaimed happily. This caused both Jimin and Hoseok to laugh.

"Then let's hurry before we can't see anything. None of us are really good at navigating in the dark. Well maybe Jimin if he wanted to." Hoseok teased.

"I prefer not too. I'll just ask Jungkook's brother to escort us back to the castle." Jimin huffed. Hoseok laughed, shaking his head.

"Okay then it's settle-"

"There it is!" Jungkook shouted now running towards the bright fire. Hoseok yelled out in surprise from being suddenly dragged by the muscle bunny. Jimin ran after them laughing at Hoseok's startled face, his feet barely keeping up with Jungkook.

Around the bonfire many animals of the forest were gathered around while a long wooden table held many different foods and drinks. The table was decorated with small sprouting flowers and vines. Many conversed amongst themselves, laughing and smiling. The night was young with the sun barely setting down the horizon. Jungkook immediately let go of Hoseok's wrist and ran to his family who wasn't far. Hoseok and Jimin followed behind him. Three other rabbits who had brown hair surrounded Jungkook. Complete contrast to Jungkook's ashy hair color and long ears. The youngest was the tallest, they all squeezed him into an embrace.

"Hyung!"

"Jungkook!" The most bulky one refused to let Jungkook go even as they all parted. He had a similar bunny smile to Jungkook's. He was built which caught Hoseok off guard. He didn't remember his brother being that built.

"Hi Wonho Hyung! Wow you gotten a lot bigger. I should really work out if I want the same ones like yours." Jungkook whistled, poking at his bicep. Wonho smiled shyly, a clear blush spreading om his cheeks but his smile nearly as wide as Jungkook's.

"Yeah I've been working out. Have to help mother with those chores and gardening."

"How are you not married yet?" Jungkook asked. Wonho crossed his arms over his chest with a silly grin.

"Because I'm just too good! No I'm kidding right now mother needs all the help she can get." Wonho spoke proudly.

"But she has like four other sons." Jungkook made a face while Wonho shrugged giving him the hint his other brothers do other things then help with the chores.

"Oh Jungkook! I missed you so much!" Another rabbit crashed into Jungkook. Jungkook laughed and stared at his younger brother, his eyes disappearing from how wide he was smile and the similar bunny smile.

"Minho! I missed you too! Why are you seriously not growing anymore?" Jungkook asked with a teasing grin.

"First off its Lee Know now and no nevermind I don't miss you anymore. Now I remember why I hate you." Lee Know pulled back from the hug with a pout. Jungkook ruffled his hair with a laugh.

"I'm kidding kiddo. Also why is it Lee? Your last name is the same as mine. Your fine the way you are. Of course smaller than Soobin but that's okay. I am too." Jungkook laughed. Lee Know kicked his foot and huffing, crossing his arms over his chest like a small child.

"Oh but I missed you a lot Hyung." Soobin smiled shyly. Jungkook looked up and smile, ruffling his youngest brother's hair, even though he had to reach up to do so.

"And I missed you a lot too Soobin. Where's Namjoon Hyung?"

"Of course you miss him. He's talking with the Florals right now." Lee Know explained, with another huff.

"Oh? About what?"

"Our gardens haven't been growing lately which is worrisome so he's asking the Florals if they can help." Soobin further explained. Wonho finally noticed the prince and Jimin standing by.

"Oh! Your highness and Jimin, I didn't see you there. I'm not going to lie I didn't think you were going to be here your highness." Wonho and the rest of his brothers did a bow in respect. Though his words were a bit harsh, Hoseok could understand where he was coming from and didn't held it against them.

"Yes well Jungkook insisted and having nothing better to do, I accepted. Besides it's the least I could since they helped with my paper work today." Hoseok explained with a smile.

"Thank you for letting our brother visit. He isn't causing trouble, is he?" Wonho asked with a teasing smirk. Jungkook pouted, glaring at him.

"No I do not-"

"At times but it's manageable."

"Hyung!"

Hoseok chuckled, ruffling his hair.

"I'm just teasing."

"Hey Soobin, do you know where the Florals are at? I'm sure Jungkook would love to visit him since it's been quite some time. Hoseok also needs to visit an old friend there." Jimin asked, a mischievous glint in his eyes. Hoseok froze, his eyes going slightly wide.

"Don't-"

"Oh yes, the Florals are over there." Soobin pointed on the other side of the bonfire not realizing the damage he just caused.

"Great! Let's go!" Jimin didn't even waste another second and grabbed the prince's arm. Jungkook giggled evilly while following them. He knew exactly what Jimin was planning and he was all for it. Hoseok was now trying to stop his feet, trying to pull away from Jimin in panic.

"Nope! Nope! Not ready!" Hoseok yelled, his eyes ready to pop out of eye sockets. Jimin merely dragged him along while Jungkook pushed Hoseok each time he tried to implanted his feet on the dirt.

"Calm down Bambi, you'll be fine. Besides Jungkook can't wait to see his older brother. We all know Jungkook's favorite brother is him." Jimin said like it was fact.

"Well technically we're not actually related and he's adopted so does it really make him my favorite brother when he's adopted?" Jungkook asked to no one in particular.

"Don't call me Bambi." Hoseok whined, his heart thumping loud in his ears the closer they got. He could see the Florals and Namjoon getting closer to his vison. Namjoon's back was showing but no doubt it was him. He was the only wolf allowed in these parts of the woods. He had pitch black hair but his ears and tail were a dark ashy grey. Hoseok could only assume the person he was talking to was Y/n who was basically swallowed by his figure.

"Please Jimin! I'm not ready! Maybe another day-"

Jimin ignored him and shouted,

"Hey Namjoon!"

Hoseok's eyes widen seeing everyone turned their heads towards them.

He was literally like a deer in headlights.

Even Y/n who peeked over Namjoon's shoulder, curious to know who was shouting. Hoseok nearly was lost at words. She was as beautiful as he remembered, a bit taller now and her freckles still present on her cheeks. She was wearing a green dress but the way it hugged her curves and edges caused him to swallow thickly.

"Oh Jimin? Hello there. Your highness," Namjoon bowed before smiling at Jungkook.

"Little brother. Haven't seen you in awhile." He ruffled Jungkook's hair.

"Wow I didn't know you guys were going to be here." Y/n smiled, waving at Jungkook and Jimin. Jungkook beamed and hugged Y/n, squeezing her.

"I know! I'm surprised too. Honestly I thought Hoseok was going to put more of a fight-Ow! Hyung!" Jungkook whined, rubbing his head where Jimin hit him.

"Don't listen to him. Hey Y/n how are you?" Jimin smiled like he hadn't just smack Jungkook. His fingers were gripping onto Hoseok's wrist so he wouldn't move. Not like he could anyways, he was too stuck on the fact she was right in front of him.

"Hey flower. And cute little thumper. I've been well, a bit stressful with Spring coming but well. What about you two?"

"I've been good! And productive! We helped Hoseok Hyung with his paperwork!"

"He was barely productive today since I'm the one who did most of his pile, but yes I guess he was."

Y/n then flickered her eyes to the prince who stiffen at her stare. It wasn't mean or disgusted but warm like they always have been. Hoseok really ever wondered if she ever had a mean bone in her body.

"Your highness," Y/n bowed before standing straight.

Scratch that.

Maybe she did.

It was so formally Hoseok wanted to puke. He understands he was a prince but younger Y/n would never speak so formally to him. On the corner of his eye he could see Namjoon, Jungkook, and Jimin wince at her formality.

"How have you been your highness? Has the feast been well? If you have any complaints about it, I would like to know. We florals had tried our best with so many things on our plate." Y/n spoke her eyes were empty as she spoke. Hoseok winced to himself before flashing her smile.

Right, he forgot how petty she was.

"Yes I haven't tried the food yet but so far it's been well and warming like Spring." Hoseok said nervously. Y/n place her hands in front of her, that smile as empty as her eyes.

"Yes that's the point of the feast your highness, you would've known if you came to at least one."

Hoseok licked his suddenly dry lips and his scratching his neck nervously.

Damn she really was petty.

"I suppose so. Anyways how is the Florals? Are they doing well?" Hoseok asked, this conversation was awkward and tense for no reason. It should be like taking to a long time friend, not a long time enemy.

"We are doing swell your highness. In fact some of our does here are going to get married in the summer once the raining seasons are over. It's true what they say April showers brings May flowers, which is this case brings love." Y/n explained, purposely emphasizing the word, 'love'.  One of the does' behind her suddenly jumped up from the log she was sitting on and place her hands on her shoulders with excitement.

"Yes! And your highness, Mistress has finally found someone! Isn't that exciting? The mistress is seeing someone!" The doe exclaimed happily. Some of the doe's gasped in delight and excitement while the four men stood there in shock. Hoseok felt slightly dizzy and lightheaded. His heart hammering in his chest and his ears pinned back on his head.

"R-really? That's wonderful Y/n. Really getting in the feel with Spring I suppose." Hoseok cleared his throat while his smile felt tight. Y/n nodded with a lazy shrug.

"I didn't know Y/n, who is it?" Jimin asked with a hard swallow.

"Kim Seokjin. He's a nice buck and treats me fairly well. I have a date with him tomorrow. I've rejected him many times since I wanted to focus on being a Florals but I decided to cave in after a while. He's really sweet, a bit cocky and air headed but sweet. Though I am ashamed he doesn't have those freckles on his cheeks that I always loved. But oh well, I can't be too picky I suppose."

Hoseok took a deep inhale in, knowing exactly what she was doing. Hoseok still had freckles on his cheeks since he was kid. They were supposed to disappear once he became a adult but they just never went away. He knew how much she loved his freckles, so her saying this felt like a slap on the face.

"I mean if your case, you should be thankful you at least got someone. With your attitude it's a miracle someone wanted you that bad." Hoseok remarked, just as snarky as her comments. Jimin and Jungkook's eyes went wide, whirling their head to face the prince.

Did he just added more fuel to the fire?

Y/n tighten her smile, placing her hand on her chest. Her eye twitching at his response.

"Right my bad, it was my fault I waited for an a**hole. I mean the first red flag was him leaving me after his mother died. Why bother right? Thank god Seokjin was patient with me to finally realize how childish my dream was." Y/n laughed in a mocking way.

"You know his mother meant a lot to him." He growled out, narrowing his eyes at her. Y/n pulled her lips into a wicked smile, with a loud scoff following afterwards.

"So did her. He meant the world to her. She relied on him but that was her biggest mistake. Then when she needed him the most, he left! Ha! Can you believe that sh*thead?! He just left her crying alone with no one able to help her!" Y/n laughed out, even shoving him back. Hoseok stumbled back, but refused to back down.

"Has she ever thought that he was suffering?! Suffering because his mother died right behind him as he ran? Shot like an animal!"

"Newsflash Bambi! So was the whole kingdom but you know what?! At least he had friends to carry him up! While his best friend wanted more than anything in the world to just have him by her side! She begged and pleaded for him to come home because she needed him!"

"And why did she need him huh?! She was always so strong and never needed him!" Hoseok yelled back.

"Why?! Because her mother died! He had her when his mother died! So where was he when hers died!?" Y/n was panting at this point. But her glare that was boring holes through his head, waver and flattered. Hoseok felt his breath hitched.

"W-what?"

Y/n breathe in through her nose before her eyes flickered back the emotion she felt and filled with an empty void. The florals behind her looked quite at shock even the three other men who was behind Hoseok.

"My apologies your highness. I seem to gotten carried away. Please accept my apologies your majesty." She bowed in respect before facing Namjoon.

"I'll tend your garden tomorrow. Until then, make sure no one goes in the garden." Y/n patted Namjoon's shoulder who was still stunned at her yelling.

"R-right."

Y/n then turned her head to face the rest of her florals and Jimin and Jungkook. Completely ignoring Hoseok who was still searching for answers.

"All of you please enjoy the feast and enjoy to time you have with each other. Now please excuse me, the meadows need some tending." Y/n bowed her head again before walking into the forest. Everyone watched her go while Hoseok stood still in his spot. His heart aching and the guilt spreading from every inch of his body.

His heart was ripped while the person responsible for it walked back in the woods with empty eyes.

Just how much did Hoseok messed up?

🦌🦌🦌🦌

Y/n walked through the dark woods, letting her feet carrying wherever it wanted. Her brain was scattered yet her body was still moving. She heard the bugs humming through the forest and each she took caused the grass or flowers to withered. Even the simple touch of her hand caused the trees to wither. She had to at some point stop herself from touching the bark of the trees so her hard work wouldn't go to waste.

Was it really worth arguing him like that?

Y/n stopped her steps and looked up. The wind blew against her cheeks, it was cold and fresh. The stars twinkled in the dark blanket that covered the land. The grass blew along with the wind, fireflies nearly blending in with the stars as they too twinkled. Y/n stared at the vast meadow, the same one Y/n and Hoseok had met at. Some wildflowers sprouting up from the ground.

She started walking through the meadow, her ears high up on alert to make sure no man was around. Despite being night, humans still hunted during the dark. It was also the same meadow where the prince's mother passed. Shot like an animal. Though to some degree they were animals but also part human. But the humans pass the boarders never treated them like such.

She wasn't there when it happened, but she remembered it so vividly. It was a cold harsh winter where food was sacred and limited. It had come to the point where the Queen had to come from her castle and search for her subjects. Even her food was limited. The florals, just like their name, slept through the winter. They were like flowers, only blooming during the spring and summer.

They would wake only if the food had been far to sacred. It was the only reason she was even up during the winter. She remembered feeling incredibly tired and weak, the cold taking a huge toll on her small body. She was only 13 at the time, never doing without her mother's permission.

The snow was harsh and showed no mercy to the lands. She remembered her mother told her to stay near the willow trees while she goes helped the other deer that needed food. She remembered sitting on the soft blanket of snow, the powered sugar falling from the sky.

It was quiet and hushed, only the wind howling in the distance. Y/n remembered just how cold it was, her fur coat barely keeping her warm from the harsh wind. It was quiet in the forest, her knees up to her chest while her eyes were hooded. Trying to fight the urge to sleep and stay awake until her mother came back.

It was only then that a loud boom noise startled Y/n awake. Her body flinching, her ears up in alert. She quickly stood up, her heart thumping loud her in chest. What came after was loud wailing, crying. It was coming near her, but she was far too frozen to move her feet.

It was only mere seconds when Hoseok came into her view. His eyes were wide, panting heavily with tears falling down his cheeks. He froze the moment he laid eyes on her. She remembered his nose and cheeks red as roses. His lips quivered and his king black coat had fallen off. He was just in his regular prince clothes. It was only a split second before he ran to her. Two nubs of alters were hiding behind his hair.

He hugged her tightly, weeping on her shoulder. Y/n remember stumbling back and crashing into the snow. He had hid into her neck and weeped some more. His arms were tight around her while he cried. Y/n wrapped her arms around him, squeezing him as well. She wasn't sure what happened at that time but all she knew was he craved comfort at the moment.

Then her ear twitched, hearing the sounds of man stepping on the snow. Y/n had panicked, pushing Hoseok off and dragging him behind the tree. She placed her hands on the bark of the tree, using her powers to lower the branches on them. Hugging around them. Y/n glanced at Hoseok who was still weeping. The steps of men only grew louder. She then placed her hand on his mouth, shushing his cries. When Hoseok was about to question it, Y/n place her finger to her lips. Letting her white cloak cover them both. They perfectly blended in the snow along with the branches that hid them.

Finally the steps grew near, stopping just at the tree. She remembered how loud her heart was, how loud it rang in her ears. How scared she felt, how she genuinely feared for her life. And yet, Hoseok was her top priority. She felt Hoseok shake near her, his hand reaching to hold her free on. He tightly squeezing her hand while Y/n flashed him a reassuring smile. She remembered stiffening when she heard them talking. Her smile growing tight when she realized they were searching for Hoseok.

They laughed about killing a deer, laughed even more when they mocked how she ran. It was then Y/n felt Hoseok tightening his hold on her hand, tears slipping from his eyes while they mocked on how they killed the Queen. Y/n had them put two and two together.

She waited for them to leave before pulling her hand away from his mouth. She had cupped his cheeks, using her thumbs to wipe his endless tears away. His hands held her wrists, his cheek nuzzling against her warm hands. His sobs quiet just so he wouldn't attract attention. Y/n have been with him the rest of the day and month of that year. Y/n had refused to leave his side, the only thing that kept him going. She had been his warmth in the cold, someone he would run too.

And yet, he left which was something Y/n never understood. She was clear she liked him, and even helped him in his most darkest times, so why did he leave her?

Y/n had sat down, her legs tucked underneath. She then looked up at the stars. They shined and sparkled while she was lost in her thoughts. The memories of him burned in her skull, a reminder of someone she couldn't have. Her chest felt heavy and longed for him, yet it was clear to her he didn't feel the same way.

The rain started pouring from her eyes, her lips quivered. Her body shook while she sank her head. Her hands came to her face as she cried. Her heart aching, her chest heavy and burning. The grass underneath her feet withered while some vines turned into thorns. The meadow was quiet, only her soft sobs and weeping was heard. She felt like her tears could make rivers from the amount she cried for him. She was never truly over him nor would she ever be.

Her ear twitched at the sound of someone else walking through the meadow. But Y/n paid no attention to it, only laying down on her side as she cried. Her body curled into a ball while the grass she touched withered. Seemingly to understand her distress, the vines caged her in. Surrounding her like a wall. They slowly changed into thorns while she weeped on the grass.

"Y/n?"

Y/n fluttered her eyes open and glanced up at the voice. But her ears knew who it was without having to look up. There Hoseok was, crouched down, no where was his eyes filled up with anger like they were earlier. Instead they swarmed with guilt and worry. He wanted to touch her but the moment he raised his hand to touch her, the vines would grow and block him from touching her.

Y/n used her hand to hold herself up, but her hair undone and covering her face. She sat on her side, using her other hand to lower the thorns and vines that she had around her.

"I knew I'll find you here. It's where we met." Hoseok was speaking softly, now crisscrossed on the grass. Y/n nodded weakly but refused to make eye contact with him. She felt Hoseok's hand slip under her chin, forcing her to look at him. He saw her red eyes and tear stained cheeks. Her eyes half open and swollen. She bit her lip to keep herself from crying again. Her heart ached and soar at the sight of him which confused her greatly.

"Did I cause that love?" Hoseok asked with a whisper. Y/n weakly pulled away from his grasp and looked away. She sat properly, placing her hands on her lap.

"Don't call me that." She whispered out. Hoseok moved closer to her, moving his face closer to her head.

"And why not?" His lips gazed against her ear. She immediately pinned her ear back to her head and turned her head to face him.

"Because I'm not your lover. Don't act all naive now." Y/n spoke bitterly before looking away again. Hoseok tucked her hair behind her shoulder. It showed her face which caused him to smile a little. His hand then snake around her waist, pulling her close to him. Y/n squeaked at the sudden movement nearly crashing into his chest if it wasn't for the fact she used her hands to keep her steady.

"Look I'm sorry for the things I said. I just-You made me all jealous talking about that buck. Then I was just sputtering nonsense when you kept going." Hoseok apologized, his lips gazing against her ear again. Y/n shivered at the touch, but her eyes looked back down at the grass.

"You were always the jealous type." She muttered which caused him to chuckle.

"I was. I'm also sorry for avoiding you for years, and leaving you alone. I didn't mean too I just-" Hoseok sighed, pulling back. Y/n looked at him, playing with her hair.

"Just what? Why did you leave Hoseok? Do you hate me?-"

"No!"

"-Is it because what I am?"

"No! That's never the case."

"Then did you get bored of me? Did you only befriend me because our mothers wanted that?"

"No, and no."

"Then why?" Y/n whispered out desperately, her hands placing on his forearms. Hoseok inhaled sharply before looking at Y/n. His eyes wavering at her desperate ones.

"Because I can't-" Hoseok stopped midway.

"Can't what? Please tell me. It's all I ask for. Please Hoseok."

Hoseok rubbed his face taking another deep breath.

"Because I can't love you." His voice was strained when the words left his lips. Y/n was more confused, her eyes filling up with a new batch of tears.

"W-What?"

"My father hated Florals for many years. Hence why we met when we were seven. He had banned my mother seeing Primrose for years. I found out he hated them because it's what caused division with his parents. You know that label that Florals has? Well my grandfather started it because the Florals he had an affair refused to be cause of division of a family and left despite the king's demands. Henceforth, the first thing my father did when he was king was banned the marriage or any kind of relationship with a Florals for the royal family." Hoseok tirelessly rubbed his face with his palm while Y/n listened with glossy eyes.

"My mother thought differently for years, which is why she made us meet. But after my mother died, I had realized I had feelings for you. I was 13 then and they just kept getting worse each day I stood by you. So I left to boarding school to try to shake them off but they just kept growing. Even away I still liked you and then that like became love. I was confused and scared, I didn't even know what I was feeling until-"

"-Yoongi said you were twitterpated?" Y/n asked with a hush tone. Hoseok sighed, rubbing behind his neck with a weak nod.

"Yes. When I came back from bordering school. I visited Yoongi to find out what exactly I was feeling. And he went on this full on thing about it's called being Twitterpated. I had no clue what that meant at the time so I asked Jimin but he was as clueless as I was. It was a mess. So I finally asked my father and he frankly blew up. I was 17 and found out I was actually in love with my best friend who I had runaway four years prior." Hoseok now laid on the grass while his brain was scattered. He place his hand on his forehead a bit exasperated at himself.

"That's when father would purposely add more work that you wouldn't normally give a prince. He made sure I didn't visit you and it became a point where I believed him. I couldn't be with you that was the final word. But each time your name was brought up my heart would ache. I craved to be with you." Hoseok stared up at the stars trying to ignore Y/n's stare. Y/n moved closer to him, purposely moving her head to his line of vision.

"That's it? The reason we had that big fight was because you think we can't be together?" Y/n asked scoffing a little at the end of her sentence. Hoseok furrowed his eyebrows, laying his arm behind his hand while the other laid on his chest.

"Your kidding right? It's a big deal Y/n! It's banned to marry a Florals and I'm in love with you-"

"Hoseok, your going to be king right?"

Hoseok blinked but nodded at her statement. Y/n flashed him a soft smile. She leaned close to his face to the point their noses were touching. Hoseok blushed hard at their close proximity.

"Then just change the law Prince Bambi. And then I'll be all yours." Y/n whispered, her breath fanning his face. Hoseok gaped at her words while Y/n pulled back and laughed at his reaction.

"Your telling me all the pain we both endured could've been solved by me becoming king? Are you f*cking kidding me right now!?" Hoseok now sat up, his eyes wide while Y/n laughed. Y/n leaned close to his face again and giggled, her fingers playing with his strands of hair. Her fingers twirling it against her fingers.

"You were never the smart one sunshine." Her hand then trail down to his cheek. Her fingers tracing his freckles. Hoseok groaned and leaned back on the grass again. Y/n followed him down, laying on his chest with her elbows keeping her upright from his chest while she traced his freckles. Hoseok slapped his hand against his forehead with a dry chuckle.

"Yeah I never was. I could've made you mine long ago and here's me an idiot that just avoided you. I'm sorry love." Hoseok apologized with another groan. Y/n stopped tracing his freckles, her smile widening when she felt his arm slither around her waist.

"It's alright. Now that's over with," Y/n sat up, having Hoseok follow her movements. His arm still slither around her waist. She then moved closer to him, placing her hands on his chest. Her legs tucked underneath her thighs.

"Can you please kiss me now?"

"H-huh?" Hoseok's face grew red, even the moon that shined on the earth was able to project his red face. Y/n rolled her eyes, grabbing his cheeks and smashing her lips against his. Hoseok was confused for a second but soon melted into the kiss. Both arms going around her waist. His lips feverishly locking with hers. His hands roamed her sides while she slid her hands back down on his chest, her lips refusing to leave his.

It took a second for Hoseok to realize they were still in a vast meadow where literally anyone could be watching for him to pull away. Y/n whimpered a bit at the lack of lips causing the poor deer in front of her wither at her whimper. His cheeks were rosy and red, his body feeling hot. Y/n fluttered her eyes open to look at him but he was looking away, covering his face with his hand.

Y/n laughed a little moving a bit away from him. She then stood up and stretched like she hadn't just caused damage to the deer. Hoseok moved his fingers to peek at her.

"Despite you growing up sunshine, your still as shy and bashful as I remembered. Your still a Bambi." Y/n giggled. Hoseok moved his hand from his face, his cheeks growing redder the more he looked at her.

"N-no I'm not. Stop calling me that. That nickname is so stupid." Hoseok whined, now standing up. He patted the dirt on his suit. Y/n placed her hands around his neck and leaned close to him. Their noses brushed causing the deer to freeze.

"Hmm I like it. It suits you." Y/n hummed, pecking his lips. Hoseok melted, one arm wrapped around her waist to pull her closer. He kissed her again but only for a short moment. He leaned his forehead against hers with a shy smile.

"F-fine only you can say that love."

Y/n giggled, her fingers playing with his hair. They both swayed in the moonlight and under the blanket of darkness.

"Oh love, I think your Twitterpated for me."

"Oh f*ck that! Just say I love you!"

Y/n threw her head back in laughter, her smile wide and beaming even causing Hoseok to smile along with her.

"I love you."

"I love you too my love."

So who's a disappointment? THIS GIRL RIGHT HERE ME GUYS

see I specifically told myself first finish the vocal line before doing the rap line, yet here I am with this chapter because not only do I have strange obsessions with Godzilla, dinosaurs, and dragons (let's not forget superheroes as well) but also fairy tales. So obviously I couldn't help myself and with zero self control, I gave in. So I hope you enjoyed this chapter which fun fact, Bambi is one of my favorite Disney movies (my first are Lady and the Tramp and Alice in Wonderland, which hello I literally have a fanfic based off Alice in Wonderland) but my own version of Bambi of course because I don't want to see the movie again and cry over that one scene, but anyways! Hope you enjoyed it!
