Tomorrow is the day. The day where she's going to meet him, the infamous Harry Potter, the boy who lived. Ariel is no gonna lie, she's nervous yet excited. Tomorrow is the day where things going to change, forever. She Is afraid of many things. Things that she shouldn't be worried about.
Ariel stared at the picture in front of her. A glamorous angel carrying a precious baby, with a happy smile spreading her face. Ariel's eyes began to water the more she looks at the picture.
"You need a ha— oh, Is everything okay darling?" A soft yet concerned voice interrupted ariel's disturbing thoughts. Eloa (her foster mother) notice how miserable her daughter looks. She took a deep sigh when she saw the picture in her hand. Eloa took a step forward to sit on Ariel's bed near her.
"Why would she do that?" Ariel asked in a small voice. "Why would she fall in love with a human? When she knows that it's forbidden."
"Sweetie, I-" Eloa was interrupted by Ariel. Eloa has never seen Ariel so frustrated, it was so surprising that she left her speechless.
"Be honest with me. Tell me the truth! Tell me everything I need to know, everything you have hide it from me."
Eloa realized that Ariel is not a child anymore. That it's the time to tell her everything about her parent, her angel mother, and human father. "Is there anything you know other than the basic?"
Ariel shook her head in denial. "Nothing, just that mother fell in love with a human and then I came to life. That's all."
"Your mother was assigned to be a guardian angel to someone who considered to be a very special person to your family. Your family basically protected his for generations."
"What was his name? The person who's mother guardian?
"Nobody knows his name, it's confidential information that was promised by the elders to keep it a private and hidden. People must not know who it is."
"But why, what is the point?" Ariel asked.
"I wish I could answer your question, but I can't. Every time I ask them for his name or a least a hint of him, they won't respond. But you should know something, Ariel, don't look for him, don't try to find out who he is, because......"
Ariel was curious about what's she going to let out. But dumbfound to the fact that she stopped talking and stared at her with questionable eyes. Eloa gulped and took a deep sign that made Ariel concerned. Eloa doesn't know if what she is doing is the right thing, but she has to do it anyway because her daughter is going to face it one day.
"Your father.... He is just— he is not doing well."
"What's that supposed to mean? Is he dying or something?"
"No, no, no, he is not dying or anything, but— but right now in his life, he's is not living it perfectly, and I don't want you to be involved in his problems because as far as I know, he is one of the most problematic people we've ever faced."
Ariel narrowed her eyes at Eloa. "But, I thought you didn't know any about him? How do you know all this?" she said slowly.
"You got me," Eloa whispered but Ariel heard her clearly. "Your mother told me about him before you know... Not everything, she didn't even tell me his name. Your mother was so in love with him. She used to talk about his literary every single minute."
Eloa giggled and Ariel smiled at thought of her mother being in love with her father before things get down. "Tell me about him. The things that mother used to tell you."
"Umm, I don't remember everything specifically but she told me that he is the— I think the oldest of his very well known family, she told me how handsome he was, his black hair and grey eyes, and brave young man, he was a Gryffindor—"
Ariel interrupted her. "Gryffindor? My father was a wizard?"
She was shocked, stunned, never thought her father was something special. Something out of ordinary. What more shocking that she's is going to the place where her father lived most of his life, his home, Hogwarts.
Eloa nodded her head. "Yes, he is. Shocking isn't it? You're going to the same place where your parents went to, where they lived the most life there, where they found love."
"Am I going to meet him there?" Ariel asked hopefully.
"Listen to me Ariel, your father, like I said is not living the life that your mother imagined and planned he's going to live. He is so far away from being the perfect father for you."
"What happened after my mother's death that changed his life that bad?" Ariel asked getting a little bit angrier.
Eloa waited for a few seconds before she opens her mother to speak it out. "He did horrible things to his closest friends. Something nobody thought he would do. So he got what he deserves."
"What?" A tear runs down through Ariel's cheeks.
Eloa wiped out the tears from Ariel's cheeks away. Her heart brokes her when she saw her daughter like this. "Promise me, something baby?"
"Anything."
"When you go there, live your life. Be happy. Live it like any other person would. As if it is your last day, fall in love, feel what it's like to have someone special in your life, don't think of the consequences. Live your life."
"I promise you, mother."
