Chapter Six

It was around 8 now and was completely dark with only like from the street lights and the moon. Yuma, Suri, Shinwoo, and Ikhan were getting ready to leave Frankenstein's residents along with myself. I grabbed my blazer they lay across my bag that sat on the floor next to my couch. I slipped it on over my shirt and buttoned it up before grabbing my bag and putting the strap over my shoulder.

"Where do you live, J-bird," Tao grinned as I rolled my eyes at his nickname that he just thought fit me. It's not that I didn't like it but it felt like someone had called me that before but I couldn't place where or when, just like all the other times today.

"My family lives at the manor on the hill," I answered while turning to face him. I saw Takeo, Tao, Shinwoo, and Ikhan looked at me with shock as well as excitement. I rolled my eyes with a playful snort. "But I like to stay at my house a few blocks from here."

"I can walk you home," shinwoo smiled making me return the favor but I still shook my head no to recline his offer.

"No No, I'm fine," I waved him off as I turned my back on the hallway that leads to the front door. "I should be fine to make it home by myself," I grinned before a hand placed on my shoulder. I turned my head to see Rai behind me. I felt a warm tingle spread through my body from just him place his hand on my shoulder but I still didn't know why.

"I will take her home," Rai stated in a soft but confident tone that relaxed me more than I already was along with sending warm pleasant shivers up my spine. I put the feeling aside and turned around to face the male behind me. I was about to decline once again but Frankenstein spoke up.

"Okay then you guys be safe," Frankenstein smiled while he ushered everyone besides Rai and the adults out of the house. Rai followed behind him till we got outside and he stopped next to me. I sighed while lightly pinched the bridge of my nose before sighing again in amusement at this whole situation.

I smiled at my friends before saying goodbye to all of them but giving Yuma and Suri hugs. I waved to them as the walked away back to their homes. I grinned before turning to the male next to me who had and still is gazing at me intently. My Green eyes locked with his red ones only for my breath to hitch. I saw the emotions of determination, confidence, sincerity, and... Love?

The longer I gazed at him the more the feeling of comfort, bliss, and contentment washed over me. He was about to say something when I tore my eyes away from his.

"We should get going," I mumbled after clearing my throat. I had a faint pink flush dust my cheeks and tip my ears. I glanced at him once more before looking down the sidewalk and leading the way. With him right beside me.

The whole way to my house was silent and we were halfway there. Neither of us had said a word and It started to worry me for some reason. Just add it to the list of other things that I don't know today.

I sighed at my thoughts before a breeze blew by making my hair blow back while I shivered a bit. I felt m cheeks redden more from the cold and still being embarrassed from earlier. I felt another breeze blow by, provoking another shiver. But before I could even do that I felt another Blazer be placed on my own blazer cover shoulders.

I squeaked at the new sudden warmth that it brought before looking up to see Rai staring down at me with amused and loving red eyes. I felt my cheeks warm up more and my ears start to burn before I looked away and stared straight in front of me. I knew my face was as red as his eyes making me even more embarrassed.

"Thank you," I mumbled loud enough for him to hear me. I glanced back up at him to see him looking forward with a neutral expression but a soft smile graced his features. I looked back in front of me as we turned a corner that made us start walking down my street. "But you didn't have to. It might have been windy but I would feel bad if you started getting cold-"

"That's exactly why I gave it to you," Rai stated in a sensory and slightly authoritative voice but it was still caring. I went to argue my point but he continued on. "You were cold."

I huffed in annoyance knowing I couldn't win which usual pissed me off but right now It didn't bother me like usual. I sighed lightly with an amused smile on my lips from the thought and just dropped the subject. The rest of the way to my house was silent between us but it wasn't uncomfortable.

A few more minutes passed before we got to my house. I stopped at the beginning of my stone walkway while he turned to look at me. I smiled lightly while slipping off his blazer and holding it out for him. He lightly took the blazer from my grip making his hand lightly graze against mine.

I felt that rush of contentment flood through me even at his slightest touch but this time a headache started. It didn't really bother me so I just brushed it off and smiled.

"Thank you for walking me home, Rai," I smiled while tilting my head slightly. I backed away before turning around to walk up the pathway. I was around halfway up it before I stopped and turned around to face him. I walked quickly back over to him not caring how he looked at me. "I know this may sound strange, but... Have we met before?"

He stared at me for a moment before he chuckles, which sent those warm shivers up my spine. After he stopped chuckling he stepped toward me and took my hand softly. "Maybe a long time ago," He lightly smirked at my slightly flushed expression before raising my hand to his lips and brushed his lips against my knuckles in a light kiss. My face flushed darker at his actions as he stood up and leaned closer to where I could feel his breath on my ear. "But you just might not remember."

My breath hitched as he kissed my cheek before pulling away. "Good night, Jayden."

I looked up into his eyes before a shy smile spread itself on my lips. I leaned up and placed a soft kiss on his jaw. "Good night, Raizel," I grinned at his slightly flushed cheeks but otherwise neutral expression before backing away and walking back up my walkway. I climbed up my porch steps before pulling out my keys and unlocking the door with a light click. I looked behind me one last time with a smile and waved to the man watching me before pushing open my door and entering the house.

I leaned my back against the door before a sigh escaped my lips. Him being that close to me just made my body go into a state of numbness that made me smile. And when he showed me affection my whole body lit on fire from a single touch.

I giggled like a school girl at how my thoughts sounded but they didn't feel wrong. Another sigh escaped my red lips as the image of him kissing my cheek flashed through my mind. I was about to head to my room, to get ready for bed, when the image of him kissing me on the lips flashed through my mind making me stop dead in my tracks.

But before I could even question what had just happened, my once light headache made my ears ring as the pain suddenly became intense. It was so, to the point that I had to lean against the wall as I held my head in my other hand. Before I could do anymore my whole body ached for a moment before my knees gave out while everything went black.
