Nat didn't think she'd ever be anything in life, as sad as it sounded. And she wasn't the most popular girl in school, due to just being an asshole in general. But for some reason, Lexi Howard seems to really believe in her.

For reasons unfathomable to Nat, Lexi actually likes Nat. Meeting Lexi through their mutual friend, Rue, the two of them managed to become friends. Even if Nat was kind of rude to Lexi at times and the two were total opposites of each other. Lexi was bright smiles and pastels, bows in her hair and soft spoken yet wise advice. Nat was... none of that. She was the epitome of sarcasm, baggy sweaters and sunglasses over her eyes to hide the dark bags underneath them. Even though Nat felt like she was only dragging Lexi down, Lexi never gave up on her for a second. It should've been obvious to Nat that Lexi liked her as much more than a friend but Nat was totally clueless.

That is, until a drunk confession and kiss change everything between them.
