A day passed, and Jimin and Yoongi had already gone back home yesterday. It was in the evening when Jungkook returned home.

Taehyung sat on the couch with a blanket over his shoulders staring out the window. When he heard the front door open and close he looked up. Glad that the vampire is back.

"Jungkook'' he said when the raven walked into the room. The vampire was looking much healthier now. He had fed well last night and his skin was healing quickly. His eyes were bright red again, it was only a small patch of burned red on his right cheek. That would be healed by tonight as well. Then it will be as if nothing happened.

"Hello my love, my sweet caring merman"

Taehyung blushed at that. Why so mushy?

"i got you your painkillers. I think these work, I'm not so familiar with medicine but the guy told me to give you these" Jungkook said and came to the couch holding a glass of water and the box with pills.

"oh, thank you." Taehyung smiled. He was glad that Jungkook went outside for him to get these. Well...How could the vampire not? Seeing that his lover was in pain and needed more pills but there were none, of course he went out to get more.

The vampire waited until taehyung took the necessary pills and took the box back to place it back where it belongs in the house.

"Jungkook, how is your face doing?"

"great. Not hurting at all, this spot just looks ugly. That's all, with that red spot i won't be scary enough to scare others"

"Is that what you're worried about?" The merman chuckled and took another gulp of water, he could still taste the bitterness of the pills.

"uhm. Yes, that's what we do in life." Jungkook's smile faded and he stopped moving. His eyes looked at the box of pills. His back turned to the couch. He was born a creature that scares and hurts others to survive. That get excitement from the act. His way of life....He scared Taehyung, he damaged the peace and calmness. The 'innocent' view he still had on him.... A way of life... "Tae....I.....I was so scared when you were gone. I-i thought i would lose you. I was afraid i would never see you again, that they would kill you." Jungkook turned around and looked at the merman. "I just love you too much to ever let go. I couldn't stand the thought of you leaving or if i would leave you behind. I promised myself i would not let anyone close to me again. But i want you  Taehyung, i need you. You make me a better man, you make me feel and say things i wouldn't even think of before." Jungkook paused for a moment. "i know it may be sudden but i don't want to lose you in the end. I don't want to end up alone again...... I-i want to ask you permission to mark you, to link your life mine.... To be with me forever, as long as i live"

"Jungkook...." Taehyung didn't know what to say. At first he was uncomfortable thinking back at the bad people there.... Then he was sad for Jungkook, and now..... The vampire asks such a big thing from him. He didn't think such a thing was possible. He tried not to think about that future. A forever to Jungkook was unending while a forever for Taehyung probably wouldn't even be a hundred years.

They could never be together until the end. Taehyung would always grow old and die in the end before Jungkook knew it.

Taehyung doesn't like that thought. I can't think of leaving. He doesn't want to...

"You don't have to answer now, I know it's not my right to ask of you. Just uh....F-forget i said any-"

"i would love to"

"huh" Jungkook looked up. Taehyung got up from the couch and approached him. "you..."

"I want to spend your eternity with you."

"You know what it means right.... You will not age like you used to..... But when I die, you die with me. We will be bound in life and death..." Jungkook said he really wants this but he does not want to force the other. He was worried that Taehyung was just doing it for him, because he asked.

"i know." Taehyung gently took Jungkook's hands and held them in his. "i love you. More than anything. After what happened.... You saved my life. I was afraid of everything on land but you showed me not everything is bad. You have friends here. And you are a good.... Mostly a good vampire, you are a different being with a different lifestyle but that is not the side you show me.... You show me you can love and care. How can I refuse such a thing? I want to be with you. I have no home in the water anymore. You are my home now Jungkook, i love you ...."

"Tae....." Jungkook teared up and he pulled his arms back, cupping Taehyung's face and pressing their lips together. The merman felt his heart melt and he wrapped his arms around the other's neck tilting his head. He wants this. He wants all of it. No matter his wound, the painkillers will kick in.

"Jungkook....Bind me to you, and love me more, deeply"

"Are you sure? Your wound..."

"don't worry, just be gentle"

"i'm always gentle with you.'' Jungkook chuckled and pecked the merman's lips again. He bent through his knees to lift up the other by the thighs. The legs quickly wrapped around him and hands clasped his shoulders.

"h-hey!"

"carrying you is faster" Jungkook smirked and began to walk upstairs...
